When I lived in El Paso in the 80' (and thinking about moving back when I retire!), I was told that people are mellow there because there is a trace amount of natural lithium in the groundwater. Not enough to make people act "stoned", just a little mellower than usual, and I loved it! As John said, everyone is friendly, and the weather is incredible!

I agree with the top five. Only other thing I'd add is placing more of an emphasis on being a border city as a positive. It's easy to go to the Juárez airport from El Paso. The Juarez airport has cheap flights to Mexico City, and from Mexico City you can really go anywhere in Mexico/Latin America. That really adds a lot of variety for vacations. If youre trying to go directly from a USA airport to Mexico/Latin America it's much more expensive.
Really appreciate the vids! Great info. I was stationed at Ft Bliss right after graduating Marine Corps bootcamp July 1983. I was there for Radar Tech school for 10 months. I'm looking at moving out of California by the Fall. El Paso is one of the three places in Texas I'm looking at. I will be watching your vids closely over the next cpl months as I make my decision...

Love it! You should be El Paso’s Director of Tourism and Economic Development. To add to what he said about El Paso being an up-and-coming city, here are some things coming our way: El Paso is getting a major, new cancer center, a new psychiatric hospital, major renovations for Texas’s only tramway located here in El Paso, and a feasibility study for a brand new law school.
It would be nice to understand how the university contributes to the cultural aspect of the city -- lectures, extension classes, public forums & activities, etc.
