The bill allocates $2.2 trillion to people and businesses negatively impacted by the coronavirus’ effects on the economy. Let's not get started with home owners who also deal with electric, water, gas bills. Excluding all other expenses of living, of course.

I know why does big corporation who has made billions in last 20 years need bailouts, they can easily absorb this tiny loss of few months, small business who have nothing need the bailouts
In one report it was said the SBs don't have to repay the loan if they keep all employees active on payroll.

It is about communities helping out those who need it because they know each other and want to, rather than the government taking money through taxes and doling it out as they see fit. When the government takes your money to the point you can't afford to help out those around you as much as you otherwise could have, then gives it to their pet project industries while the people in your community are having a hard time surviving and you can only help a few of them out because 40% of your salary was taken by the government... This is what happens when you trust your government more than the people in your community to do what is right, which I will never understand. I trust the people in my community to cook me food at my favorite restaurants and fix my car at the shop, but I don't trust most politicians, especially career politicians in Washington, to do the right thing even 1% of the time.

Did you pay into federal income taxes? If so you should file a return anyway. You will probably get that money back. There really is no amount that says "you didn't make enough to file" its just a matter of if you're "required". If you haven't filed there will be a special form to file called a "simple return" that you can file to be eligible to receive the stimulus payment.

You know how much of the economy US oil companies play a role in about 8% of our gdp how about airlines and cruise ships? If they dont get their bail out the banks will suffer since they are holding a lot of their loans that causes a cascading effect and btw they have to pay it back with interest.

High income individuals could be having cash flow issues too. Other option for means testing is net worth, which would make more sense in my opinion, but the government works off income instead.

Love that I'm in college, pay my own bills (rent, phone, car, food), but because I'm "considered a dependent" I don't quality for anything. Rip to other college kids in the same situation, this sucks.
Your parents shouldnt be claiming you as a dependent if you don't depend on them to pay your way in life. Be mad at your mom and dad, and ask them for the extra tax return money that they got for claiming you.
When your parents get $500 instead of the $1200 you would have gotten for yourself.
Are mommy and daddy paying your tuition and books? If so they probably provide most of your "support''. Get them to send you the money they save by claiming you as a dependent or tell them not to claim you as one. Or maybe pay your way. There's always the GI Bill, that's how I got through school, without loans.
