Pros of the Kasa Smart Strip KL400L5:
• Full range of 16 million colors.
• Can change from warm to cool whites 2500K - 6500K
• Dimmable to 1%.
• No hub required, so you only need to purchase the smart light bulb in order to use.
• 3M tape so you can easily install the light strip.
• Schedule the light to turn on/off by day of the week and times. Even adjust the brightness, color, and warmth settings for your schedule.
• View strip energy usage from the app (kWh and time).
• Smart app has very high ratings.
• Can control the light when you aren't at home and aren't connected via your WiFi network (from cell phone data).
• Simple to set up and use.
• Strip does not get very hot when in use.
• Light strip can be cut to shorten it if needed.

Can you cut it let’s say a third of the light strip and the rest still being able to work? Just concerned about that since I’m considering purchasing this item.

Can you connect multiple lights together, if so, how many?
you can but depending on how many to add.. you will probably need more power adding another power adapter, there are videos out there that show you how to add power mid stream on the lights so they will be bright all the way instead of dropping off or some won't even light near end of run... do some research ... worth the effort..
I bought theses and mine did not blink green and orange
I’ve got a a few smart bulbs and in the app I’m able to use the color wheel selector, or set the temperature of the white. Does this string have the option for the temp as well? I would like to stay in the Kasa ecosystem, but don’t have much use for colors, really just going from 2700K to cooler, and back.
Unfortunately there is no way to specifically select a temp. You only have the options for color and brightness. It would be possible to find a matching color for 2700k and save it for easy selection.

How are the whites with this strip? Will it do a warm white?
Yes, you can choose any color. So it you want a warmer white you would just select that color.
How do these light strips sync with what you are watching?
I don't think they can do that.

does the app have dark mode? i'd hate to open bright app right before going to bed to turn all the lights off lol
Unfortunately there is no dark mode. I really hope they add this soon.
the tapo app does have dark mode, you can log in with your same credentials as Kasa since they're from the same company (TP-Link). Thwy also both have widgets to turn on/off your devices from your phone home screen without need to open the app
