Agreed. I've tried watching some other channels battle reports and they are a bit tedious to watch. The streamlining of Mountainside's videos makes them very entertaining to watch. Thanks to the guys at Mountainside Tabletop for putting in the great work to give us these excellent videos
I'm glad to see people are finally getting around to making good battle report videos instead of just showing us videos of hands rolling dice. Showing the animated overhead view of the board is a fantastic touch, I would only suggest adding icons or names to help us keep track of which operatives we are looking at in the overhead. It'd be easier to follow along knowing specifically where a Gunner operative is positioned for example.
Underrated... Never thought I'd watch any battle report under 20 minutes and still understand what's going on. Thank you, this is fucking awesome and your personalities are great. Edit: Would love to see nurgle or some tau
Great battle report guys As a thousand sons player Ive got a couple recommendations. First definitely check out the warp coven rules from white dwarf, gw said in their dataslate they recommend taking those rules over the compendium team. However for the compendium rules I tend to go with flamers and play choke points as it gives you the ability to put torrent to work along with the firestorm ability to cover things with the "indirect" word
Agreed. As a player who tried thousand sons, then warpcoven, the difference is insane. 3 sorcerers, with mutation create... 3 times more threat. Also, a full marine warpcoven is 6 units, not 5. Huge difference.
Even running 1 Sorcerer in Warpcoven is better than this. There is a reason the old Thousand Sons team was invalidated. The models transfer 1-1, just have enhanced abilities.

I think the formula of ‘how to actually report a battle report’ hasn’t been perfected on UA-cam. Its oftentimes a struggle to follow what is happening. But this video was short and easy to follow, thanks to that clear overview graphic and commentary. Keep doing what you’re doing!

honestly kill team is a game that deserves to have some great batreps and you guys are the only guys producing the same quality as some of the top 40k dogs on youtube. just subbed and I'd probably donate to a patreon if you guys had one.
Damn, this is my first time seeing such a high quality batrep in terms of its editing quality, clarity, but also condensed format. Personally, its a bit hard to follow since im used to videos where I can see the whole board and it showcases the movement of units, but the zoom in is very immersive
I didn't think you guys could top your last BP, but this was even more brilliant! Always love seeing As Mech too! They're my favourite faction! Those infiltrator plays were pretty brutal!

This is rad, Im justing getting into KT and 40k in general and yall presented this br in a way that made it really easy for me to follow. Also my first minis are green admech (gonna go for a doombot look) so it was rad to see a similar paint job :D
This report format is superb! Leagues better of most BRs that you can find. BRAVO, guys. If I would have to point at something that I like the least I'd pick amount of that "glitch" effect - it's too often during beginning: narration, channel intro and unit overview.

Great video. I do kinda if wish your top down recap colors were further apart. At times it was difficult to tell which team which circle belonged to. Great job again though
Nice work guys! I think it would help a bit more if you showed the top-down view minimized in a corner while you play the turns, it should help a lot keeping up with what's happening during play. Love the recaps!

Really high production value, but I would love some overhead views of each of the moves. The map is nice, but even that isn't really shown often. So much of Kill Team is positioning and setting up sight lines, and you can't really see the decision making from these low-angle shots.

Also just wanted to add as a fellow Thousand Sons player; when facing higher body count teams, I can't pass up using the Sorcerer's warp blast ability to target multiple units clumped together in the deployment zone early game. Get them softened up so the rubies can finish them off with bolters.
shoulda done a Stub-Carbine for the Sicarian, if you were using Infiltrators With Ceaseless you can re-roll 1's and can only fail on a 2 due to the 3+ WS and the Leaders can only fail on a 1 with the Stub-Carbine due to the 2+ WS instead of the 3+ WS
