Hey how are you doing?
what's the deal with the pot of greed joke?
this is how the game should be
kai kai it's from yugioh abridged check it out it's really good
Cool and Love you guys channel
There’s something about Paul calling his opponents duelist that makes me smile, but I don’t know why 😂
This was the first Yu-Gi-Oh game, from the last 10 years or so, that I was actually able to follow 😂
It was sooo hard to get our hands on these, but it was more than worth it. Hopefully I got to satisfy my younger self and you guys too!
We appreciate your effort in getting them for us thank you very much
Man remember buying both those decks back in the day. Congrats on not only finding them but finding first editions as well.
If you guys somehow manage to get the pre-GX era Structure Decks from the OCG, I'd be interested to see you guys to duel with them. Yugi vol.1 and vol.2 has Fusions respectively.
I got dragons roar for about 9$ at my card shop and they still have more XD
Throwback! I was a senior in high school when these were released
Imagine dreaming of summoning that Genesis dude your whole life, and when you finally succeed, you lose immediately because he is an effect monster. I enjoy these duels so much. You guys actually play and actually keep your monsters on the field for more than half a turn.
welp 4500 atk darkness dragon gets bounced back by compulse too lol
I love how the boss monsters were basically the sign of them losing.
21:29 Paul: "Why do I hear protagonist music?"
22:05 Paul: "Oh yeah. Because that's me."

that plot twist!
@@notbadsince97 wow
so nostalgic... this is the yugioh I know and love. Took a break from the game for years and when I can back pendulums were in their prime. I know the current meta of yugioh is fast and tons of combos but theres something so great about the simplicity of the game back in the day
Couldn't agree more
You didn't have to do this, guys. It probably would have been cheaper to remake the deck with singles but i and I'm sure the rest of your subscribed peeps truly appreciate your dedication to the craft. Let's DUEL!
Youre right they didnt have to, and you didn't have to make this comment. But in both cases, yall wanted to. So quit complaining and enjoy the video
@@fuckoff9644 theirs no way you processed a compliment as a complaint
I don't think he was complaining
This brings back memories from playing with the structure decks on the nintendo game
This match was SO SIMPLE. I miss these days of Yugioh. #YugiBoomer
We all do. Konami should do yearly polls for fan formats. Easy money for reprints too. Win win.
@@pppupu936 no thanks, getting real tired of people asking for same old school shit every time...
@@EBlade3529 yes. Uncompetitive Yugioh was always like this even now. If you compare it to competitive 2020 yugioh then no wonder they have biased view. Check Cimoo videos to see 2005 competitive yugioh: getting Handlooped for 3 turn 1
Same
@@EBlade3529 To be fair, us old school players are getting tired of watching you over complicate this game with your " one turn, full boards" and your literal *10 min turns* of nothing but special summoning.
Wheres the strategy!?? Wheres that exhilarating feeling of having top decked that one card that changes a losing game to a winning one on a turn by turn basis!?
I may be a Yugiboomer, but trust me, you dont know what you're missing.
I got so pumped up when I saw the thumbnail!!!, Zombie madness was my very first deck. A friend and I bought this decks back in 2005 I got the zombie madness and he got the Dragons Roar deck. Little we knew the zombie deck was so frekinng boosted. Fun fact: Red-eyes Darkness dragon becomes a zombie in the next zombie deck and I think is a clear reference to how uneven this 2 decks are.
he finally manages to summon his childhood boss monster and then loses to CEASEFIRE? damn, RIP
Ceasefire cant be activated there because there are no fda to flip face up
@@vincam2628 "If a face-down Defense Position monster or an Effect Monster is on the field" there were effect monster(s) on the field, so he can activate there!
@@joshdevio that’s the new clause the old one that they’re playing with is different
@@vincam2628 Yeah, the old one has no clause at all, so he is still OK (I have this deck)
Thats why back in the days we called ceasefire s cheesefire instead lol.
These duels remind me of when I first started playing. My brother and me would duel in these back and forth games and it was so fun. I still my first card Bull Blader, he may not be anything special but I love him.
16 years ago! 👀 still remember they were at my local target
Facts
This is such a nostalgia hit, I got both of these when they first came out, been looking forward to this episode 😄
Yu-Gi-Oh structure decks are the best
Heckles yeah they are!
These old school duels will always make me click. Great content guys 👍
Thank you for this nostalgia video.
This deck is special to me too. Takes me back to a simpler time. These decks were right before i dropped off Yu-Gi-Oh. I had the dragon deck, and because my bro and I split the cards we owned at this time (He took the "Warrior"side of our deck, and I took the traps/spells and whatever monsters I could), I took the creature base and added amazing traps and spells to it, replacing the more situational ones, and adding stronger dragons. It's now a pimped up version of the dragon starter, still with masked dragon and Red eyes as the creature base. Aaaaannnddddd that was my last deck. I only have a speed duel box for when I have company and this one deck as what's left of my flimsy collection; a relic of my childhood and when I could keep up with the game. Now I'm onto Magic...out of the frying pan, into the fire, i guess.
I remenber when my father bouth these and we played together so nostalgic.
You had a cool Dad. Mine only played with me once, just to make me happy. I wish that we could have shared the interest in any of the games I played.
You guys had a dad?
@@joshuaprescod-campbell6961 dang not funny but funny because I was gonna comment the same thing
These decks take me back... i remember my dad got me both for having good grades 😂😭
Dragon's roar was my favorite because it introduce red-eyes darkness dragon
These decks were popular birthday gift options, when I was a kid. Everyone I knew had at least one. I remember getting both decks, that year.
That set heavy storm gave me real flashbacks. That’s how u hit everybody with the sauce
My brother and I had these decks, which we built up with other cards over the course of the following few years. I had the zombie deck and I loved that thing. In fact, my brother bought me a speed duel Vampire Lord and some other cards to go with it and the Battle City box set he gave me for my birthday last week as a reminder of those good times!
God, I feel old right now. I tied a Pot of Greed to my belt, which was the style at the time. "Give me two cards for my Pot of Greed", we'd say...
Man that Zombie deck was legit back in the day, it pissed alot of opponents off.
My first local tournament champion deck was also a zombie deck. 3 of pyramid turtles, ryukokkis, spirit reapers and of course Creature Swap!!!
This is a trip down memory lane. I had the zombie deck, and my brother had the dragon deck. Even when the rules were far more simple back then, we still got most of them wrong.
When Yu-Gi-Oh was a much more enjoyable game.
Guys im 37 years old never played the game barley even knew about it and i honestly don't understand why i love your content so much!
Thanks guys, I don't play yugioh anymore but did when this was relevant. I love seeing old decks in play before the game became complicated.
In 2005, I used to ride my bike the card shop by my house and buy all kinds of cards. These were one of them. Crazy nostalgia
This reminds me of the structure deck duels in the game Yu-Gi-Oh World Championships 2008
Man the nostalgia. I remember getting these at target as a kid. Time flies man.
You know its going to be a good show when you actually WANT to Thumps up for that, in the first 30 seconds.
You guys are awesome.
This brings back memories. Zombie Madness was my first and I still play vampires after getting back into yugioh.
As someone who doesn't play the game anymore (stopped in 08), it's interesting to see people's reactions to certain cards being included in these decks haha like "Snatch Steal oh man!"
First two Yugioh structure decks I ever played with, honestly loved Red Eyes Darkness Dragon and i still have him after all this time; simple but special monster
Man the nostalgia is real. I remember getting the dragons structure deck when I was a kid. Never got my hands on the zombie one though
Red eyes Darkness and Zombie World where mine and my brother's Favorite Decks from back in the day. I still use Red-eyes Darkness in my deck. My beloved Ace from back in the day.
I was a young fella when these came out, and I was trying to get back in Yu-Gi-Oh. I bought both from the game section of a local book store. First was the Red Eyes one, and I got kicked by my friend's BLS deck, and then I bought zombie madness and...well nothing changed. Nostalgia tho, ah, what a good sensation
I remember buying Zombie starter deck when I was growing up and smashing my friends, none of us knew how to build decks haha.
This is awesome! I had the Dragon's Roar structure deck way back in the day as a kid and this was such a perfect throwback for me.
This was very fun to watch! It was a treat seeing the dragon structure deck since I ran that back in '05 when I was still in middle school. I was on the edge of my seat hoping the dragon deck won and shouted when it did. For a split second I thought I was 12/13 again.
I owned both these decks as a kid. Got them for my birthday the year they came out. Always loved the dragons more.
A simple duel before link monsters redefine what combos are. Sweet.
I remember I bought the red eyes deck back when I started playing, though I enjoyed the most in synchro Era, this still feels nostalgic.
Sometimes I miss the old school yugioh. It was so much more simpler
So much nostalgia with these decks. I remember getting the deluxe pack that came with both the decks, armed dragon lvl 7, and rope of life.
Loved the Dragons Roar deck, I still have all the Red-Eyes cards. Used them against a warrior deck I made to teach my son the game.
Zombie Madness was my favorite deck of all time and started my love for zombies. Just finished a zombie deck on Master Duel the other day made up of Shiranui and Eldlich.
Loved these structure decks with boss monsters, the water deck was class too.
I actually have both of these decks still. Never played either of them, just used a lot of the spells and traps that came with them. Good duel!
I was 5 or 6 when this set came out. Oh my god I miss this set. Just watching you guys opening them makes me feel nostalgia. Them were the days.
I love the artwork for Red Eyes Darkness Dragon.
Been really enjoying these videos. I love the vibe. Such nice cards.
I still have a Dragons Roar deck from way back when it was first released. I didn't know those decks are that rare nowadays. 🤔
Would love to see these decks again tuned up with more modern cards.
these were the structures decks my brother and I first bought when we got into yugioh as kids it was really fun and nostalgic to watch this! Good video as always APS :)
The nostalgia is real... I was 11...
buddy just destroyed that vampire box trying to open it and the other guys like my box is kinda beat up lmao
Wow I remember buying them both when they first came out when I was 13 how time has gone by
These fun videos are getting me back into the game it's nice seeing old school decks and playstyles after getting crushed so hard by newer metas
This was really cool! Honestly I didn't think the zombie deck will match the other one but THE Legend showed us that heart of the cards is a thing :))
ooooh sweet! bought these 2 with my friend back in the day and we did nothing else for weeks than play those against each other for hours.
I loved the Zombie deck. It was the first time I was able to get a deck that actually had a strategy instead of just generic monsters.
I love watching these videos they bring back so many good memories
Good thing these are waaay cheaper than some of the other decks from back in the day! I got me the red eyes one couple weeks back on ebay for like 30 bucks and was super stoked
This brings so much memories back. I have like 20 snatch steals. Why are they sought after?
Definitely love seeing these structure decks face off against each other. Makes me wish as a kid when my brothers and I got new structures decks we'd duel with them out of the box before we just started adding things we want from them to our other decks. Ah well now I'll try it out with the speed duels battle city box
Zombie Madness was my first ever structure deck! Awesome nostalgia!
11:40 I feel you bro I feel you. Will never forget that inner boiling when I worked it up to summon my best monster just so in the next round boom oponent activates that stupid trap card xD
12:31 If I remember correctly the noble man of corza also removes from the game all monsters with the same name in the deck.
Man, this was fun to watch. I still own most of the old structure decks (I'm glad I kept them), this video brings out so much good memories of how the game was back then.
“Pot of Greed....But what does it do??”- Paul that was beautiful. Actually made my day. Keep up the work.
I owned both of these back in the day ! What a blast from the past!
In 05 I was a junior and was still sending souls to the shadow realm
I love these videos, really relaxing and its cool to see structure decks go head to head
when I was young vampire genesis was my favorite card solely on the art didn't know what it did back then LOL
That was a really good turnaround at the end.
Damn that was hella fun! did not expect dragon's to pull that off
Wooooow super flash back. I had these when I was a child
Zombie Madness I remember getting 3 of them back in the day. I still have most of the cards.
I remember seeing these at Target and begging my mom to get them for me lol. Hard to believe that was 16 years ago.
That compulse at the end on game 1 made me laugh so hard 😂😂
Hearing "remove from play" makes me so happy tbh
The classic!!! Loved seeing these
I don't care if they're non-competitive. I will love the Red-Eyes archetype always.
You guys know what Fan Service is. Opening 16 year old 1st Edition structure decks? 🤯❤️
Damn I didn’t even realize these were the first structure decks til now
All of these structure deck videos that I've watched, I've probably seen at least three times each
Brooo!! I'm telling u when mst was activated to destroy the set heavy storm I got freakin nostalgia flashbacks (lol) Pro heavy as we called it back then would refer to a set heavy. It was sick if u went first set a heavy then ur opponent sets like 2-3 cards not worrying as much of heavy bc u would have one set. Then the best feeling in the world was after drawing on ur next turn when u would flip the heavy face up!! 😎😎
This was amazing guys. I loved it this was really fun back and forth. Definitely would love to see more of these
Sorry not sure if this was said but the 2nd game when nobleman of cross out was played.. To banish the face down masked dragon, The card reads both players Banish all cards of the same name in thier deck from the game.
That dragon deck was the first deck I ever bought, I was 13 in Belgium. My parents would later throw all my cards away. I really want to buy that deck again, so please if you can point me in the right direction on where to get it I would be so happy.
I remember when this packs came out. The zombie madness literally was so cool. Thank you guys for bringing back amazing memories.
Its still a viable deck with modern day cards added to it (like Mezuki) and I will die on that hill.
This brings me back soooo many years :) I preferred the dragons
Lmao I made a Zombie Deck with a bunch of old cards I found at a Goodwill just randomly. Watching this video, I'm like "Wait a minute, that shit looks familiar."
I remember when these decks came out I was still rockin my original yugi deck and my friends would wipe the floor with me lol
All my buddies had the purple structure deck
Alec finally managed to fulfill his childhood dream and Summon Vampire Genesis
I had the dragon deck and my brother had the zombie deck when they came out.
Good times.
