    As a contractor I cannot even imagine considering this guy as an employee. There is absolutely no where that using this contraption would be a good idea. Looks like a great way to break drill bits if that is your goal.

    I was put onto a multilevel building in progress because the contract demanded it. The floors were covered in piles of sand aggregate and various building materials. My task was to drill the concrete above this mess in a precise grid pattern of holes from which to suspend the coming ceilings.
    I made basically what this man did.
    But it was 2 pieces of rough 2x4 pine. The 2 diagonals a lighter material. No castors. I planted the “frame” into sand gravel etc and drilled all the holes above.
    I ended up in hospital from anxiety attack because what was expected of me was unreasonable.
    Loved this guys premier model

    Brilliant. Now, using those same principles, I would like you to put together a collapsible and extendable frame for hanging out the washing to dry. I won't need the extending arm for the drill but I will need the frame big enough and strong enough enough to hang a decent sized wash-load, or to air pillows or bankets in the sun. And I want it all to fold down and be stashable somewhere out of the way. Let me know. Thanks

    Great engineering, saves you from the “shoulder burn” from drilling overhead in concrete, and the dust directly in your face.

    • @HepauDK
      @HepauDK 9 днів тому

      The dust-in-your-face part is why cordless dust extraction exists...
      And the engineering is terrible, as the contraption moves the drill to the side while drilling. I mean, did you see the flex in that drill bit? At some point, he will probably end up with broken pieces of drill bit in his face instead of dust...

      It's crap. And so is your back injury. You'd be incapable of assembling this because of your back injury. After the holes are drilled, assuming they're in the correct positions, you still need a ladder to install the anchors or conduit or whatever will be placed there. Let me go grab this lever/jig thingy and waste an hour setting it up and breaking it down, OR, let me get a ladder, WHICH IS STILL NEEDED(!!!), AND DRILL THE HOLES AND PLACE THE ANCHORS/CONDUIT in much less time. If a guy like you with a back injury needs crap like this to keep working, you need to find a different job.

    In American construction trades that’s called ‘an Old Man’…
    … & I’ve ‘jury-rigged’ them many times.
    This approach keeps the drilling debris from falling back into your face… & down your collar, plus you can exert a lot more consistent pressure ‘drilling overhead’ than doing it by hand off a ladder.
    There’s adjustable manufactured ones too.
