I love the market chaos. Staring in Africa is actually not a bad thing. when people admire you or if you carry your self different they will stare at you. so it is more like a compliment I should say.
it is not actually chaos. mainstream Media call Chaos. it is freedom. in Tanzania you can start by selling a single Potato, and make it to the top if you are hard working. in the western world you cannot do that, hard working is not enough. there are a lot of politics and taxes that kill poor people ability to come out of poverity. Just check the number of hard working people who are homeless in the western world
It is freedom. That is what the western world is missing. and that is why they are trying to trap africa into the western world which actually take away the freedom
Entire time i was listening to the language barrier. Not so many Tanzanians speak English. But it's still one of the friendliest and most peaceful countries in Africa
Please do more Kariakoo videos, it's lit...! your loyal local subscriber. come to china plaza mall too... here it's all about phones and phones accessories.
Question: What happened to your other video when you was walking around looking for the beach and also the shop where the great art work was??? I didn’t get to finish watching the video!
Yo whatup!!! I used to live in Dar many years ago....My family and I lived about 20 minutes walk from Kariakoo....I love your content.....Are you just visiting or what? I now live in the UK. I just subscribed...Peace-out!
Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you lol. I'm a new subscriber. Quick question the booth you got the baskets from was that the first booth you went to? I hope not you should at least looked at 4 different vendors and then circled back to the lowest one lol. I was mad you didn't get a good deal lol.
One more easy and useful tip about the swahili language is, the way you mention a word, the way your hear a word, is exactly the same way you will read it aloud. For Example, Kariakoo is read as career-co. If its K it will remain a k and if its o it will remain a o.
I'm Kenyan and we have similar markets here and I hate the chaos, it's amazing how a person who has not grown up with open air markets sees them as fascinating, I preferred going to shop in the malls in the US when there were sales. Definitely a different perspective.
@Abdinasir Mohammed My friend Tanzanians are not slaves of foreign languages like u, we are very proud of our Swahili language , Visit at the university of Dar es salaam and c how foreigners (whites) and other Africans countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Algeria, Angola, Botswana, Zimbabwe and more how are struggling to learn Swahili and the Swahili programs are 3 years for bachelor degree level, in Tz English language is a language for alcohol drunkers, when people get drunk is when the speak English😂,stop being a slave,be proud of your own... ACHA USHAMBA
Kariakoo is not the bigest market in Tanzania. It is the Biggest, Largest and Busiest Market in East Africa. Some people from Land locked countries like Congo and Uganda use it too.
There must not be no One from Da Chi there cause we definitely would be interviewing honeys on the low to show them off. I’ll do the honors when I get there🙅🏿♂️
The title “the real African market” is misleading. The Kariakoo you see today isn’t what it was in the 70s and 80s. It was a descent and well organized place. The disorderly behavior you see now is a result of poor governance and corruption from the 1990s. There’s nothing African about it.
Oh. Its very nice video. We have come to know details in Tanzinain market. Brothet i need your help, i want to start Agro firm business in Tanzania and i need large number of land lease or buy in Tanzina. Could you help me to get land and people for work in my business area. I need more than 200 people.
At minute marker 9:27, they are definately not showing love. They are showing you some thug sh. Freeze the frame at 9:27 then take a look again. Dude and his man are ready to get paid off you on the left. He and his man had that classic "you are a mark acting goofy by asking me my name on camera while in the hood" while looking at you. On the right? Dude on the motorcycle who got you later for that phone. AFter you walk away (hit play from freeze at 9:27) they watch where you are going on the left. LOL! Classic setup.... You the tourist say after? "Its all love out here" right before getting got. LMAO! Not joking on you little hommie, but be careful outcha in these mean streets. Tuck your chain up and be careful not to be on joke time with all the natives. Some are no different than the ones in brick city, NY or anywhere else USA where wiggas get down. But now you already know right?
You were probably paying 2 times what everyone else is paying and you still thought it was a bargain cause it was still dirt cheap. When you speak in English price goes up 2 or 3 times. You got to go hard to bring it down.😊
nice video , I think there is a lot for me to learn from you as I started my journey too.
When do you plan to go to my hometown will be there by November 2025
I love the market chaos. Staring in Africa is actually not a bad thing. when people admire you or if you carry your self different they will stare at you. so it is more like a compliment I should say.
I live for the chaos. Yeah, I know they are not staring with ill intent.

Damn! I felt the energy in this video!!!! Love it!!!
It's crazy
It is freedom. That is what the western world is missing. and that is why they are trying to trap africa into the western world which actually take away the freedom
Welcome to Tanzania bro I can see myself at 9:42 😀
Entire time i was listening to the language barrier. Not so many Tanzanians speak English. But it's still one of the friendliest and most peaceful countries in Africa

I like this video
Karibu Tanzania! It would’ve been so much easier for you if you had a local friend to guide you around and all, glad you’re having fun though💕
Yeah, but part of the adventure is figuring out on your own. I'm willing to link up with anybody and do a video.
@@KidGreatness I would’ve have loved to but unfortunately I’m in Dodoma atm. If I ever come to Dar or the other way round for sure
Gotcha
Are you still in Dar es salaam @kidgreatness
Question: What happened to your other video when you was walking around looking for the beach and also the shop where the great art work was??? I didn’t get to finish watching the video!
I take that video down. The quality was too bad to leave up. The great art shop is in Slipway hotel. It right where they load the boat.
I love the energy in the market, it reminds me of the markets in Jamaica.
The energy is crazy. It's wild
Very nice views thanks for showing us!
You're welcome
@@KidGreatness You speak that American English, the locals jack the price Lol.
Thanks for the advice.

I love markets. I miss Africa so much
The markets are so interesting and lively.

How was your travels through the airport during covid?
