I'm hoping I've typed this correctly- as I have had eye surgery and the small print on here is HARD for me to see-- everything else is fine. AGAIN thank you for the EXCELLENT video..
Hi Michelle, thank you for being so poignant and specific with your information, I learned a lot. I have created a business called threads of knowledge. I will be printing badges of philosophers who have added value to society. I'm having trouble building my site because it's very time consuming but my idea is good and once I get it going I will be able to reach out to multiple niche markets. Thanks specifically for your tips about shipping and mock-up generators. Cheers.
Thanks for a quick, cut to the chase basics without endless waffling. My take away from this…. Get a niche and as a start , I will to the printing myself, since I have a sublimation printer and plotter. Besides, I enjoy the making /creating process, so as a side hustle for the moment, it should work. We will be relocating to another country soon, which will also redefine a good selling product. Thanks again! 💐
I just want to ask you one question, i can do the printing my self too but i was looking for guide to how to actually add option for customize printing on my shopify page. Can you help me with that?
I run 75 designs all together with Print on Demand on Shopify's platform, Google is our try to lean on Shopping campaign is our core of the business, when Facebook ads is rather too complicated to bring all designs to create campaigns, so, I am holding for a while and considering Google ads is our way out. Hope to get our first sale the soonest. Thank you.
This was so informative and clear, thank you so much. I'm only 14, but I want to know what's possible and viable. Thanks again for your clear communication.

I am just trying to learn about this. My question is, why don't the customer buy straight from the print on demand company that is fulfilling their order? Wouldn't' it be cheaper for them to buy it straight from the P.O.D company? What is the value that the seller is providing by using a third party service to fulfil and ship the order while selling for an increased price?
It just seems very complicated im really wondering if i go that route. Im hella creative i know if i start i will have a lot of success but the marketing and all that stuff puts me off big time
@@Goldenlight1 I think the value that the seller/designer is proving is the creativity. P.O.D company just takes care of the business aspect. I don't see anything wrong with that.
@sunnybossynarks probably you didnt get my point i dont want to deal with marketing and the way she explained it this is a platform that you must do that in order for your products to be seen. Im looking for one that has organic sells
First, Michelle... you are adorable. I could watch you all day. This will be my first dive into the world of POD. I'm a naturally born artist/designer, so I feel like this will be a wonderful vehicle in helping me finally run my own business from home. It has been a loooong time coming. My current research on POD companies lead me to the shopify website, then I came here for the insights. Until now, I always thought that Shopify was simply a web hosting service with shopping features. I didn't realize that it is such a great source of online business information and a preferred resource for POD integration. Because of my vast design versatility and experience and variety of artistic interests, I'm looking to create 3 POD lines of products --- Home decor | Apparel & accessories | Electronic device enhancements. So my question to you, Michelle --- Wouldn't it be best for me to have 3 separate websites or perhaps one website with different categories, but 3 different Etsy accounts for the shopify website to integrate with? Is that even possible through your platform?
Hi, Shonté. That's a great question, and congratulations on diving into the ecommerce space! Creating three separate stores would depend on your products. While they are different categories are they still cohesive to a specific style? If so, you can definitely create one Etsy, and one Shopify. If the products you design are vastly different designs from one and another you may consider creating seperate businesses.
You can take a smaller picture- and convert it to an SVG file and it will print beautifully at any size increase-- but that way yo ucan increase it first.. then change it back to jpb or pgn.
I heard about this service when i was talking to a potiental mentor in shopify. He said he can build a working store with print on demnad, so I want to lean more about this personally
Hello. Does anyone here know if I can have multiple POD suppliers connected to my Shopify store? For example Printify and Printful together? When processing an order, does the system know which supplier it should give information to in order to ship the order? Or I can only have one POD supplier connected to one e-shop.
Hi there! Yes, you can sell products from multiple fulfillment services from the same Shopify store. When you import products from the likes of Printful and Printify, they will be linked to the relevant fulfillment services within your admin and when an order is placed you can fulfill the order with the correct service.
@@learnwithshopify Thank you for keeping in touch. But I do not know how. I think it's clear. You wrote to me that I can have multiple POD suppliers/applications connected to one e-shop. How the system processes an order in which the customer chooses one product from POD for example Printful and second product from POD for example from Printify. Does this mean he will receive two packages from two different suppliers at different times and pay for 2 different shipping? Even if he made one order at the e-shop?
The customer will receive multiple packages if they've ordered products that ship from different suppliers. The shipping they pay at checkout depends on your shipping settings. Many print on demand stores will offer flat rate shipping, so the customer wouldn't be paying multiple shipping rates at checkout.
But how do you know that your items are selling? If the website company(where I'm posting my items) doesn't disclose how many items have really been sold, then how do I get the commission? The site may show zero sales , when actually my items may have sold?!!?
Great question. In this instance, the print-on-demand app would be connected to your Shopify store. In your Shopify store you have complete access to your checkout, orders, inventory, etc. to see exactly when orders are placed on your store. - Dirk
I recently learned about shopify and the gelato app and I'd like to start a business to help provide for myself (I'm a student and don't have income), but I don't really know how it works administratively speaking, I mean, I know if I start a business I need to declare it and probably pay taxes but I don't know exactly how it works and if I end up paying more taxes than what I earn there's no point
Hi there, Lucas. Taxes are a very important aspect of any business, and it's really important to know your tax obligations when starting a business. Depending on where you are located, your obligations will differ, so we recommend reaching out to a local tax expert for information around what your obligations will look like.
