    You don't need to add a cost function to limit the switching frequency. Instead, just add a "zero order hold" for all of the measured variables with time constant Ts for Fsw = 1/(2*Ts). This is the proper approach to limit the frequency.

      yes, it can be limit fsw. But if you want to adjust it, a variable is needed.

    Great video, very well done! Can I ask which Matlab/Simulink library you downloaded to get the electronic components directly on Simulink? Personally, I use 'PLECSlib,' but it might be more cumbersome to work with...

    I want to ask if Vin changes, does Vout also change? for example, if the Vin of the PV changes according to the irradiance and the temperature of the Vout Boost converter it will stabilize at the desired voltage or change according to the Vin of the PV. and one more thing I ask is that because Vin VP changes regarding filling inductor and capacitor values ​​in the boost converter, should we use which Vin value, is Vin the highest or should we take the average?

    Hello,
    I tried a model with the same wiring diagram and the same parameters, but the simscape components (from the domain with the blue lines) and the MATLAB function block were the same as yours.
    Solver settings - type: Fixed-step
    Solver: discrete (no continuous states)
    Fixed move from: 1e-5
    And I always get this simulation result: Solver "FixedStepDiscrete" cannot be used to simulate block diagram 'FCS_MPC__Model01' because it contains continuous states...
    Could you help me set up the solver and your powergui? Thank you.

    Hello, thank you for this captivating course. I have a question regarding the simulation: I noticed that at the beginning of it, 28:10 there is a significant surge in current. How can we manage this current to control it effectively?

      Hello, thanks. Mainly, the current depends on the values of the system components such as capacitance and inductances. So if you change or improve a soft start for the control method it may be reduced.

      @boussaoudfarid8297 I have no reference, but it is an easy mechanism: you can use a rate limiter for determining the reference. But it may have a small effect. Normally high currents are injected by capacitances at the beginning. If you desire an initial voltage in the capacitor it may reduce please check.
