I mostly find Pat's take on things very intellectual and interesting....But moving on club Legends like Milner and Kante; also Riyad Mahrez ! Man is the top goal scorer for City this season 😅 i get the point still but it would be crazy to do that soo soon...to cash in on him especially considering there is not real outstanding player in that position

I've fallen into this trap myself too where you get obsessed with squad structure and constantly building for the future. I think Pato is the same, sometimes especially in the upper echelons of football it's ok to have older players because you can afford it and you need their quality now not their quality in the next few years. There is also a lot to be said for continuity in football, especially in the dressing room where examples are set. So players like Mahrez/Kante/Milner are good people to keep around for a little while longer than he may think.
@@suthir_nadar i agree bro. People forget very easily, Ngolo Kante is a world class player, who won chelsea the champions league singel handedly last season. He’s going through a bad run of form and has been playing not even that bad. If he was ever to leave chelsea, they’ll struggle to replace him.
Kante literally just needs a break. Its unreasonable to expect a player(in their thirties) & that plays the game the way that he does to be starting and playing for full 90min week in and out.
Highly disagree with Luke shaw. Whenever he's had a good run of fitness he's been excellent. Stellar 20/21 campaign, and he's not even 27. Even at 150k a week his wages arent bad for a club like United. He'd be a perfect backup LB at worst, and also capable of playing in a back 3 and wingback.
That's the problem. If he's been excellent when he's fit then why are united not where they are supposed to be every single seaso? I get that's the wider issue at hand at united but this is the issue that's normally faced there. Why were the contracts of guys like Mata and Jones renewed? Although your argument can be copied and pasted for Eric Bailey as well, he's been injury prone too. Why did united renew his contract too? Shaw litterally had 1 good season, and that's last season. Uu can argue and say he's been good in 19/20 too. But that's not good enough. There's upgrades to be had at LB and he needs to go. I doubt ten haag will depend heavily on him
Zaha, Mahrez and Kante are pretty damn awful takes tbh. They are a key to their teams success when they play. Also Milner is very important as a sub to finish games, get agressive, let the other guys rest. He also mentors youngsters and helps in maintaining the spirit of the team. I Agree with Asensio, Witsel, Sandro and Lanzini but the rest does not belong in this video

Jeez He is Human and for the first Time He’s been out of form, people are not used to seeing Him have a run of bad games so automatically say He’s finished…. Plus lately He’s been fasting for Ramadan and yes other players like Benzema have been fasting too but Kante covers a ridiculous amount more distance than anyone else so Him running on empty will affect His game more than others and add this to His bad form…. But He was excellent against Utd the other day He looked back to His old Self…. He is definitely not finished, You’ll see….
He's been on a very obvious physical decline this season and has gotten injured quite a lot over the years. Chelsea atleast have to look for alternative options or replacements
imo Milner should maybe get a Player/Coach contract, just see how long playing still goes and when he's ready to stop as a footballer the club can still retain a personality like him

Salah's contract shouldn't be extended. Honestly if he wants HUGE wages a PSG move looks like a match made in heaven, it consists of poor planning and they are paying HUGE wages, not saying it's smart, but I can see it happen.
Zaha should take a page from Michail Antonio and move more central. Less dribbling and more chance to use his speed. I've always been a fan of Zaha and always thought he deserved a move to a bigger club. I hope he gets to play regular european football at some point
Man City should try to keep Raheem Sterling, keep Gabriel Jesus, and let go of Riyad Mahrez. The other 2 aren't "young", but at least they are under 30.
Was going good until I saw Mahrez, He has been the best attacker this season. Also no player in the attack has been a consistent starter. I also can assure you if the champions league final is tomorrow he WILL start. He definitely earned this contract
If Milner is unhappy then he should leave. If he is happy to have another year starting a handful of games and coming off the bench then sign him up. I’m sure he offers a lot off the field. He’s going to be 37 next season and probably couldn’t play as a starting centre mid for any team just by virtue of him not being able to get around the pitch like he could before week in week out. So maybe better to be a bit part player on a world class team jump to say Leeds we’re he will start a few more games and not win anything.
I'm sorry, but Kante? That's a really bad take. I shouldn't have to explain why you give a player like Kante a new contract, but you 100% do; even if just to get his transfer fee the next season.
Think at least half should not be released and get new contracts. Most are still very good players and while they may have declined, someone like N'Golo Kante is still one of Chelsea's best midfielders, even if Kovacic got better statistics.
If i were rich i would buy Manchester United just to keep Phil Jones, Maguire and Lingard for another 10 years or until they retire. They are the best trio in the world. I would go as far as football history. Beat me
I’d like to see Kante given another chance at CDM. He does lose the ball a lot more these days and seems a bit slower but that’s because he’s having to do so much more. Just let him play where he dominates and I’m sure he’ll be world class quality for at least another 2/3 years.

BTW don't you think that he looks ugly in blue? Maybe red suits him better.
Also to make the change of team less traumatic maybe he should unite with some other Algerian.
He still is a strong player so he shouldn't settle for anything less than a team that fights for a national title
“Total unbiased opinion” 🤣🤣
Think this is the first time I’ve ever not agreed with pats takes, feel like the decisions made are purely based on stats and not from watching players performances e.g regardless of zaha’s dribbles and shot numbers coming down he has been just as crucial for palace as ever before, but no longer feels the need to do as much as he used to because of the improvement of quality in the team with players like olise and Gallagher. Also 30 is a prime age and he easily has 2/3 more years of quality service for palace imo
First Hazard and now Kante who’s next on the chopping block today lads 😂
Hard to let mares go tho . Have you seen this mans technique . He’s one of those guys who can win a game for you
I mostly find Pat's take on things very intellectual and interesting....But moving on club Legends like Milner and Kante; also Riyad Mahrez ! Man is the top goal scorer for City this season 😅 i get the point still but it would be crazy to do that soo soon...to cash in on him especially considering there is not real outstanding player in that position
Kante has been shit no one cares about sentimentality
@@Emre9794 He has been bad only this month... 😅 And he has had soo many injuries becuz he has run himself down to the ground for Chelsea...that's why you have soo many trophy....
It's one thing to move on players who are past it and it's another for older players who can play in those clutch games and be the best...
It's embarrassing how 1yr makes him go from one of the best Midfielder in the world to now fans wanting them out of the team 😑 show some respect !
@@Panjax Absolutely man 👍
@@suthir_nadar i agree bro. People forget very easily, Ngolo Kante is a world class player, who won chelsea the champions league singel handedly last season. He’s going through a bad run of form and has been playing not even that bad. If he was ever to leave chelsea, they’ll struggle to replace him.
HITC Sevens is superior with much less support and funding
Instead of focusing on a superstar upfront to replace Kylian Mbappé, PSG should try to sign Kanté and Pogba this summer.
very much disagree with lanzini because hes been playing more as a cm this season alongside rice and soucek and generally dictates our pace of attack
Completely agree, he has had a good season, good game time and played well i think
Stop looking at just stats and watch football
Are youuuu mad I'd have kante at utd in a heartbeat
You’re mad!!!! Kante is not finished, People are only saying that because Kante is the only I can think of who has been consistently excellent since He’s been at Chelsea….
"remains a talisman" but shouldn't get a new deal? I don't think you understand Wilf's standing at Palace.
After recent performances its clear that Chelsea need huge investment in the summer
Chelsea might need a rebuild since nobody knows who will own that club.
Milner should get an extension for a year for his versatility, playing wherever needed and then move over to coaching the younger teams
Did they seriously say ngolo kante shoulsnt be given another contract....
Ikr delusional asf key player
He's been on a very obvious physical decline this season and has gotten injured quite a lot over the years. Chelsea atleast have to look for alternative options or replacements
He is on 290k a week which would be ridiculous for a rotation player so yes keep him but only on like half of the wages
Don't see why kante is finish he still can play at the highest level till he's mid 30s
imo Milner should maybe get a Player/Coach contract, just see how long playing still goes and when he's ready to stop as a footballer the club can still retain a personality like him
Dude. Everything you said about milner struggling to maintain form is just outrightly wrong
Mahrez??!😂😂😂
Zaha 2 decades at palace? I smell cap!
end of kante? you might see him with another world cup next winter bruh
I really don’t get the Kante take , if you have a two man midfield you can easily rotate Kova , Gallagher , Kante maybe Cheek as well (I’d personally sell Jorginho ) he’s 31 , he doesn’t have to play every game but is reliable and works well with Kova and would work just as well with Gallagher
It’s more the fact that he is on 290k a week and his form has dipped and we can’t be paying that sort of money for someone who doesn’t start every game and who’s form and availability has dropped off
@@Kamren_ the same kante whol helped chelsea last season win the ucl jorginio should go hes shit and kante better then loftus cheek and jorginio
@@shaunakeats145 yes but also the same Kante that hasn’t been consistent for chelsea since conte and is on nearly 300k a week for it. I doubt he’d take a massive pay cut so best thing is to let him go
@@Francadam let kante go and keep players like jorginio hoe makes constant mistakes and only passed to the side and back and maybe tuchel tactics are not working for kante maybe tuchel should have a long look at hes tactics cus clearly aint working and how last year he was ur best player against madrid
The one I don’t agree with is Milner he definitely has a future training youngsters or even being a coach he’ll be a valuable asset to Liverpool.
I swear Milner already got a one year extension and I'm assuming this was written a few weeks ago before his massive performances when he's been played? Milner is a beast of a player, consistently the fittest player starting the season, great mentor to the younger players and is a perfect model of the mentality monsters Klopp wants his players to be. Whoever wrote this is probably a Manc or has been avoiding watching football for the last couple months lool
No not really I agree Milner is a beast and no us city fans are watching the hell out of football very frequently as the title race and contested champions league tie (at least for us) is being played out.
This guys pronunciation still pisses me off
How Dare you put Kante on this list! 😤 haha
Kanté is on a different role, he has been the best midfielder by far he’s just not on ball winning duties as much anymore lol, and that milner take baad bad
Kantes been really overrated for a while now, he had a few good games in the ucl last season and got ballon dor shouts for it, he hasn’t been consistently good since conte
Come on, guys...some of these are ridiculous.
Milner should be given a new contract just for his influence in the locker room. He is a leader and should remain.
Great video pat
Salah's contract shouldn't be extended. Honestly if he wants HUGE wages a PSG move looks like a match made in heaven, it consists of poor planning and they are paying HUGE wages, not saying it's smart, but I can see it happen.
Riyad Mahrez!
Talking Absolutely rubbish.. He is the Trampcard of Pep
This is nothing but a clickbait video, Don’t fall victim to this nonsense
Witsel has confirmed he is leaving in the summer
When I hear Pats voice I know the video is going to be lit.
Hard disagree on Kante, we should sign a midfielder and then we won't have rely on him as much and he'll be able to get sone fitness back
Zaha should take a page from Michail Antonio and move more central. Less dribbling and more chance to use his speed. I've always been a fan of Zaha and always thought he deserved a move to a bigger club. I hope he gets to play regular european football at some point
I agree with the Mahrez point. He’s fantastic but he’s 30 rn and if we sell him we can use all that money and more to go get Saka
City already signed Alvarez...so we don't need saka...if we sell mahrez we must keep Jesus.
Plus Cole Plamer is coming in. There is no need for saka
Releasing Kante is blasphemy
Whos going to replace Shaw? Brandon Williams? 😂😂
"If Valencia are smart,.. and they usually aren't".. lmfaoo
Syke you out of the champions League brotha
halarious to see milner is now rumoured to get a new contract today lmao. Man means more to the club, deserves the contract.
Asensio needs a transfer for game time. I still see a class player in him, just needs game time
I'm sorry, but Kante? That's a really bad take. I shouldn't have to explain why you give a player like Kante a new contract, but you 100% do; even if just to get his transfer fee the next season.
Think at least half should not be released and get new contracts. Most are still very good players and while they may have declined, someone like N'Golo Kante is still one of Chelsea's best midfielders, even if Kovacic got better statistics.
Kantes been inconsistent for years
If i were rich i would buy Manchester United just to keep Phil Jones, Maguire and Lingard for another 10 years or until they retire. They are the best trio in the world. I would go as far as football history. Beat me
Please please pleaseeeeee do an England International 11 of current Championship players
I was about to subscribe but this is so blunt. Luke Shaw!!!!! Even the Arsenal fan in me knows Shaw is good
I’d like to see Kante given another chance at CDM. He does lose the ball a lot more these days and seems a bit slower but that’s because he’s having to do so much more. Just let him play where he dominates and I’m sure he’ll be world class quality for at least another 2/3 years.
He was shit when he was CDM though, box to box is the only place he can play
@@barry4649 I’ll assume you’re joking
@@yeahnah3762 tell me when you think he played cdm was
@@barry4649 more just DM than a lone CDM, but yeah back in 16/17 under Conte in particular. I’m not saying he’s way better at DM than CM, but at this stage of his career it might be an option to try again. He definitely wasn’t shit as you say, and Makalele even said it’s time to call that DM position the Kante position
@@yeahnah3762 yeah, that season Matic stayed back much like Jorginho in the Champions League last season to allow Kante to move up and press, he wasn’t a defensive midfielder, I remember Kante winning the ball high up the field a lot that season
zaha , mahrez,kante n asensio combo
I love Milner, always ready to play any position
Banger Patrick 😊
I would sell both united left backs and 1 rb , 2-3 CBs as well
I don't agree with the milner inclusion he was motm against Newcastle and could stay in the coaching set-up
Kante is not finished although I'd admit through out Ramadan he has dropped below his level, but still better than most. Honestly your take on Zaha too. I think you've made a lot of bold claims that we as fans do not agree with even though we reckon a drop in their performances.
Pure bullocks, Kante still has so much more to offer!
Milner is kept for for his experience, mentorship to the younger players at the club, versatility etc...none of this can be understated. Dont agree with the take on him in the video.
Most players on this list are fine, it's just their wages
Very good
Marco Asensio has to stay onlike bale and hazard that has to go he can come of the bentch as a super sub his goals are amazing and he prudoste the third best amont of goals in the team after benzema and venisous
The over what McGuire ? 😂 Can’t agree w/the Zaha take tho. With the influx of attacking talent this season, he has less work (dribbling) to do in order to be effective imo
Harry Maguire and Rashford should not be given a new contract.
Kante will prove doubters wrong. He’ll be back at Chelsea at his best next season. Just wait and see
Could not disagree with the Mahrez pick more
Why didn't you mentioned the likes of zlatan, Ronaldo and Messi? At times you don't judge players by their old age or poor form they can bounce back and do the needful
Witsel is as good as confirmed leaving. Might even be official now.
He should be going to Newcastle 😂 they have money to gift away
What about Luka Jovic? You noticed Asensio but not Jovic👀 you must be against us
You left Lukaku in & choose Kante 👀 ( Kante in his worst day play better than Lukaku ) in my opinion 👋🏼.
I don't understand.. Milner best free signing and he should leave, but should not be given new contract.. What is this?..
