    One of the best part of the blue point sets is that the cases even have the lifetime warranty.

      wow this is fantastic!
      sorry I know this is an old comment but been looking into blue-point socket sets there and heard a guy say he easily broke the front clips on the socket set cases. He did not mention that they had a lifetime warranty however I just assumed it would be for the set only. This is impressive

    Got a ¼” drive set in 1970 imperial (std other side of the pond) came in a cardboard box, still got it... some sockets broke, ratchets had many repair kits, added a Snap-On breaker bar long extension and a bunch of mm sockets etc, still using it.

    I have the 155 PC set and it's the best purchase I have ever made it is literally enough to run my entire small engine repair business I added ratchet wrenches and screw drivers and pry bars and that's enough for my whole business and the quality is amazing

    The 155 piece kit was the first thing I got off the truck 7 yrs ago. Still have it to this day just replaced some off the missing sockets now to to get a new case. Perfect for when a person goes to the junk yard or a service call has damn there everything you need minus a few odds and ends and the case keeps it all organized.

    I have the 155pc set. It came with the BluePoint the set of tools I bought and it came with a BluePoint box too. It was perfect for starting out as a lube tech when I started in the industry just over 2 years ago. Also I've been a subscriber to the channel since 12k subs. I love the channel. Also I'm in Wisconsin too

    The Blue Points are OK. Snap-On status. Gearwrench is very good. Matco tools are good. So are Mac tools. As professional mechanics, we own all of them.

    I got the Bluepoint 62 piece 1/4 set years ago, never had anything in it brake (swapped ratchet for a fine tooth gearwrench). Loved it so much I bought a second a couple years ago that's still wrapped in its plastic.

    I have the 87 piece torx/hex set. I work in the field on all kinds of heavy equipment and that kit is probably my favorite set of hand tools I own. The only thing is I wish it had a little area in the case so I can keep my adapters in it as I usually only take it and my 3/8 14.4 impact into the machine.

    Here in Canada we have Canadian tire stores which sell a professional grade brand mastercraft maximum tools they also have a life time warranty for a fraction of the price only thing is you need to bring it back to the store they don’t come to you for replacements. This being said how are blue point an snap on so expensive even if they are better quality the warranty is the same so that’s all that matters is you get a new one when one fails love snap on boxes man but holy can’t afford $10,000 compared to $3500 for a whole set of tools including popular air tools even a 60 gallon compressor

    Not really convinced on "Life time warranty" ...Bought a 1/4" ratchet back in the mid 80's. Started slipping so it was useless. Went to 3 different Snap-On trucks and all gave me the same BS. Opened the back...oiled it and told me it would be fine...it wasn't. Almost got in a fight with the 3rd idiot because he didn't like that I said that this BS fix has been done before and didn't work. I lost my trust in Snap-On.

      When I went to diesel college, Snap On, MAC, Cornwall, Matco, etc. All offered percent discounts. These companies know if they treat you right and get as a customer in the beginning of your career, you will be a customer for life. I offer you one friendly piece of advise, your dealer will do more for you then the company!! Treat your dealer right and they will take care of you.

    Interesting. These are rebranded Williams sets, and for those that don’t know, is another snap on brand. It doesn’t seem that any of the sets are the same between bluepoint and Williams.
    Williams has a 3 drive size, 146 piece set for $280 and the bluepoint 155 piece set is $540 (as of writing this) don’t feel like looking up what extra 9 tools the bluepoint set has but.

    • @outdoorsliving464
      @outdoorsliving464 4 роки тому

      Please tell me why it makes sense for a tool company that owns 2 other brands, would use the same socket but brand them differently with 2 names. There is literally zero advantage to doing this. William's origin is USA.
      Blue Point origin is TWN.
      Different tools.

      Outdoors Living Snap on is almost monopolizing. The more tool companies that sell the same tools, the more money the parent company makes.

      Williams is Snap On's industrial tool line basically

    • @outdoorsliving464
      @outdoorsliving464 4 роки тому

      @@_P0tat07_ I'm aware that the more companies Snap On owns then the more money Snap On makes. It all comes down to competition and market share. Own more of the market and have less competition. It does not mean that all of those companies sell the exact same tools that are rebrands.

    • @mikesch7672
      @mikesch7672 4 роки тому

      Tekton make great tools. And they warranty everything they sell, even their impact sockets. Also the real reason he doesn't talk about the price of the tools he shows on here is because everyone that isn't a snap-on fan boy would lose their mind. I buy a few things from snap-on because their tools are great but there are a ton of other companies that make comparable products at a fraction of the cost.
