You’re supposed to try it at the store my man 🤣 I don’t think anyone is just picking up a guitar without actually testing it.. guitar players actually test more guitars than we buy
Glad you had a better experience with a made in Mexico fender than I did. I got mine out of the box and it needed completely gone thru to tighten up screws, needed a complete set up, it made horrible nosies from everything being loose. The whole guitar was barely put together.
@@dannyeddyguitar yeah, maybe it was a Friday guitar lol. After I went through everything it's fine. I've never paid 1,000 bucks for a guitar that was unplayable out of the box like that. It was my first fender to. I've always been a Gibson guy, heard everyone talking about how good the player series was and decided I needed strat. All in all the guitar is great now plays great, sounds great and I really enjoy it. Luckily I do my own setups tho, I would've been a little more upset if I had to pay a tech to go through it.
I must admit, I did't see the attraction for a lonnnnnnnggggg time. They always looked so plain too. This thing has hardly been out of my hands since its purchase!

Every guitar I have EVER bought from a Guitar store HAD to be setup by an employee there. I read a Rush article where they they asked Alex Lifeson about switching to PRS guitars. He said the PRS played right out of the case, when he played Gibsons (which he went back to because of tone) his guitar tech had to spend 45 minutes setting it up. So YOU are telling us that Fender MAILED YOU a Telecaster and all you had to do is take some tape off and it plays. I find this suspect.
It plays amazingly straight out of the box. Obviously I have tuned it. And I bought it from a store, where the guy pulled it out to make sure it felt all right before I picked it up. I'm sure if it was professionally set up it would be even sweeter. But believe me when I tell you - this thing plays like a dream. And I've been using it for my gigs, rehearsals and session work as well as my UA-cam clips. It's bloody great!

Yup, if you don’t get that last piece of protective plastic off of the neck plate, your chords will just sound Janky… good catch
