@@tegbaker bro cmon, i have a really successful channel with 12k sub, I'm pulling out 700k - 1m views a month so believe me when i say CTR (and watch time of course) is the most important metric on yt, so i would choose 7% CTR with 35% AVD over 3.5% CTR with 50% AVD anytime, especially for the first 3 days of upload, i don't know maybe I'm wrong! BUT this is working for my channel

CTR isn't waht you need
CTR will go down anyway if your vid gets more reach
What actually matters is audience retention
