Yea man I agree with you though JT has a career much earlier than the DS and does not believe that the jt steal anything for inspiration, where styles were very different and extremely.... damn good!!!
Press Alt+F4 and you see Chuck Norris singing :P But seriously, it's true that this sounds damn lot like Dire Straits. But who cares after all? It's pretty fine music. This album's been inspired by DS, and both of them are great. So... Yeah. It's not stealing, it's letting other people be inspired :^)
Fantastic. Timeless. I say I am dancer too, BTW. Thanks and I get it.
Always loved the lyrics to this. Never seen the video before, thanks for the upload.
Kick ass Tender Tull !!
Close your eyes and you see Mark Knopfler singing!!!!

this was before dire straits
It actually wasn't! DS hit the charts about a decade before this. This still beats the shit out of DS though.
Your right Dire Straits released Sultans of Swing in 1978, This song came out in 1986. Still a great Jethro Tull song
Yeah, no. Still a great song, but Dire Straits had come and mostly gone by the time this album came out.
