Same here!!! I feel like the gel makes my hair dry looking. I really like this video. It was so good seeing a wash and go that DID NOT USE GEL!!! Every video uses gel it seems....I’m going to focus more on creams and moisturizers to see if I get better wash and go results!

I’m shook that you said you were plopping and then ACTUALLY did traditional plopping. I’ve seen so many videos in “our” hair care space where the person doesn’t seem to really know what plopping is-tying their hair up in a turban or towel, just shaking their head back and forth (lol), etc.

Never tried these products. My default setting is the OG mane choice crystal orchid gel. I did fork out the bucks this summer an opt for Camille Rose honey leave in and paired it with the curl maker👌🏾the shine and moisture plus definition is bomb!
Thank you for further explaining the meshing/plopping method. I’ve been air drying more and my hair has been thriving - less frizz
the denman brush makes my roots poofy too!!! only doing the ends is a great way to combat that. i’m definitely gonna try. thank you!💗💗
I’ve been using these two products as my wash & go base ever since you posted this video. I have a TWA and it works just as well for me, soft and defined curls. Soaking wet hair is key for sure when styling. I stocked up on both products so I have plenty in my stash. You never know when these companies will discontinue a product you like. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hi Kelsey! I have not done a wash n go yet. I tried one time and to me I looked like a person that was born in the 40’s when they used to wear Jerry curls. I attempted to do one the other day, but didn’t have the patience, and I’m a woman who has a lot of patience with two kids and a husband. 😂. Anyway, I love watching your wash n go’s Kelsey. I recently got the eden body works curl defining cream that you talked about in your last video. I will do a wash n go one day and finish it, but for now, I’m sticking to my twist outs, braid outs and protective styles. Love you Kelsey and Kendra. I hope y’all are staying safe. I tried this product combo and it didn’t define as much as I would like so I topped it with curl smith style fixer and sat under a hair dryer and it came out great. I have 4a type hair.

I hadn't noticed the heat damage until you said it...it looks great. I still haven't hit my stride with the "wash and go" style yet. I used Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil smoothie and gel...which they recommend pairing. It looked great... until it dried😭

You girls are so beautiful! Lovely hair as well. My hair is so picky. It does not like most ingredients that many curly girls use such as; jojoba oil, aloe Vera, glycerin and coconut oil(sometimes). I guess it depends on the amount due to the protein. The audacity of this hair😂 Some products you use work so well with your texture, I wish my hair wasn’t so picky. Anyway, thanks for all the tips on NH.

Love this I do wet and goes often and I love them the Wiscinsin weather creates dryness but I use advocado oils to prevent dryness
