I have a CCC and it’s really a terrific amp. It sounds like a Tweed mixed with a Princeton or a Vox (depending on which tubes your on). D13 1x12 combo amps have more low end than any other I’ve owned.
The ccc and jrt are either an el84 or 6v6 power section with either a fender (ccc) or Gibson/vox (jrt) front end. You don't get "both" power tube attributes simultaneously. Ugh, you'd think they'd know that. I already miss Fred!
I think he meant the sound still has an EL84-like sparkle in the 6V6 mode, not that both tube sets were on. It's still a questionable statement. 6V6's don't generate nearly the harmonic level of EL84's.
I like Divided by 13 a lot and it sounded good with Corey but man I’m very nervous for this merger. If they start changing Fred’s designs and raising the price I’ll be really disappointed
Honestly they have no reason to change the circuit, it'd be just a waste of time as they already have things done. I just hope they won't turn it into PCB based stuff like tone king
I wish Corey didn't play those goofy guitars. They might be great quality but the sounds are way below of what I can get out of my 2012 /13 BTR 23 with Les Pauls (with humbuckers and P-90s) or Strats (vintage and modern). Could it be that Fred's fairy dust is missing? It's making me nervous the amps we love just won't sound the same. I hope for some proper demo videos in the future.
Looks are subjective, but the camera mic won't even capture as high as 2kHz at that angle from a 12" guitar speaker. /13 amps tend to have a very full sound like a HiWatt, probably from the output transformer.
Nothing beats a divided by 13
That FTR 37 sounds unbelievably good! great playing too
I have an RSA 23 and it’s the best amp I’ve ever played. Sad to see Fred sell the company but glad it’s gonna be in good hands!
yet to see if amps wil be just as good, and priced accordingly
amp prices getting absolutely insane. Especially considering vintage established circuits and the price of parts
$4300?! That’s ‘66 Princeton dough!
yup, that's a thing for pretty much every brand now. I mean, look at how pricey korean and indo imports are getting these days.
@@taxo yeah but then you got Chinese Monoprice selling AC clone things for $250
Did you check how mucha. good trafo costs now a days?
They both sound great.
Best amps Ever!!

What guitar is Corey playing??
I agree, what is it? The first one, that is.
Powers Electric and Novo Miris
It’s funny how they are presenting these amps as if they are new. The FTR-37 has been out for years.
I didn’t get that sense at all?
Seems like it would be good for 50s style tone like surf or rock-a-billy
at least the ccc9/15 for sure; most probably the other as well
I've had my D13 FTR 37 for years now. I'll never part with it.
Nice amp guys. 👍

That’s my thoughts exactly.

So it seems prices went up?
yup for the whole industry.
5 grand..😢
Too expensive. I'll still play my peavey classic 30 from 1990.
go with a yamaha thr.
Duh

That's what they had in the booth! And, Fred actually made the floor models
i’ll just wait for a digital capture, thank you very much
I'm glad it didn't get bought by Fender or Gibson
Anything is better than overpriced Fender Amps
Lol
Too bad it doesn't have a built-in tuner.
I think it sounds totally generic and couldn’t be uglier looking. I’ll take my several thousand dollars elsewhere.
@@sometimelater😂
Listen to Tim Pierce and Brett Papa play through theirs. Nothing at all “generic” about them.
I’m sure they’ll be devastated.

Wow...what an enlightening response...good job
