As Hansol’s subscribers since 2015, I kinda get it that he was struggling in 2017 or around the time he said. I kinda see that in his videos as his house was a very small house, he ate simple food or little in his vlogs, he didn’t really look happy as much as he showed that he looks fine in his videos. Little did I know he really was struggling. I thought it was just in my head since he had quite a following already back then. I am happy to know you guys get through it together. God’s plan is better than our plan and it shows that it will work out when we trust Him. Look how far you both made it now!!! Jeanette gets to learn Korean and now can speak fluently with Hansol’s family and Hansol can really appreciate Jeanette for her sacrifices and for staying stonger being behind the scenes all this while.I hope you guys will stay longer together because you guys love each other so much. I am supporting both of you guys' channels because both of you have always made great and inspiring contents. I also share several things in common with both of you. 1. I speak fluently all the languages that both of you speak - including all the Chinese dialects spoken in Singapore. 2. I used to live in that part of the world. Just like 한설, I grew up in Indonesia too. I have left Indonesia since I graduated high school. I came back to China for a year. After that, I went to KL, Malaysia to do my undergraduate and worked there after my graduation. Then, I worked in Singapore as well for some time. I am now living in both Shanghai and London for 6 months in each city throughout the year including some other parts of the world for short period of time sometimes. I really applaud for the courage and strength that you guys have and the efforts that both of you make to go through all the things that you guys have been through and to overcome all the struggles - especially you, Jeanette. Despite having to overcome all the struggles, you still gotta work long hours in long-haul flights for a few times every month back then, I believe. Aside from that, learning Korean Language and Korean Culture is not an easy one either. By just being able to speak fluent Korean just like the natives do is just not enough to assimilate to the Korean society. I have been there before and I know how it feels. (많이 힘들죠? 힘내세요! As you have been living in Korea and you got 한설 to teach you, I think it had helped you to be fluent in Korean). Just a little sharing and not bragging, I had to figure out everything about Korean Language and cultures myself. I somehow can reach to the native level fluency and has made a lot of Korean friends and partners in both business and non-business settings by making myself think and talk to myself in Korean all the time everyday for a few months 3 years ago. Lol Haha It ain't easy for me back then, but it has paid off. Last but not less inportant, I am surprised to learn that being a Singapore Airlines flight attendant was not initially your goal. I thought that was your dream job that you really had planned and had aimed for as that's what most, if not, all girls would dream for. I really thought you went for it because you liked travelling and you liked aviation. I myself am an aviation enthusiast as well. (Just a hobby and not my full time job tho :)) Give me a plane type, I'll name and describe all the aircraft systems, jet engines, safety and security measure that differs from one type of plane to another and how the plane works or give me airport initials and I'll name the airports. I believe these were all the things that you gotta do and know, right? By the way, to some people out there, just to clear some common misconceptions, the main job of flight attendant is to ensure the safety and security of all the passengers throughout the flight. Serving food and beverages is to make sure that you don't feel air sick. Do not treat and stereotype them as food and beverage servers in the sky. Tip for being the best passenger: - Look for your own seat number written on your boarding pass. - Stow all your own belongings yourselves to the overhead compartments. - Unless you have special pre-flight request, accept whatever the flight attendants offer you for food and drinks. The bottom line is: Flight attendants ain't your mama. Back to 한설 and Jeanette, have always been and will always be a fan of both of you, would be great to be able to meet you guys someday. I’ve been in Jeanette’s position. My ex boyfriend was too busy with his life, never chat me, didn’t want to have a video call though we were LDR that time. He also didn’t want to publish our relationship and we would have a fight first when I asked to take photo together. He also asked me not to post our photo together. It was so tiring that I’m the one who must understand him all the time. Even after I know he cheatted on me, I still forgave him back then. He also didn’t want to discuss my matter and I almost cried everyday coz he seems didn’t care with my feeling. Didn’t take my feeling seriously and kept saying that he was busy. My mom was so sick back then and having bf like him made me sick even more. When I cried coz my mom vomitted blood, he just went away and continued his work. Long story short, I realized that this relationship was toxic and I need to quit from this. Now I have a boyfriend that loving and caring me so much. I do LDR with my korean bf for almost 4 years. We keep visiting each other and marriage plan until corona came last year. It is really hard for both of us but we choose to be patient and trust each other. 24h video calling is a new habit for us. ㅋㅋㅋ
Oh god. This came at SUCH A perfect time in my life. As a person who’s also going through LDR from Singapore with a partner who’s in Indonesia I relate so much about how communication is just never the same no matter how hard you try to bridge the gap through LDR & because we are often in different paths of lives it’s hard to relate to one another on some days but you’re right at the end of the day we just have to think back of why we chose the person & this video really reminded me of this. I have never experienced LDR but understand very well how difficult it is to hold the ego for the common good. To be honest, the thing that is very relevant in my life lately is when I broke up with my 3 month boyfriend (my first boyfriend), it's been 2 years but currently still struggling to let go and make sure that everything that happened was not my fault. After seeing this video, I became more and more aware and talk to myself, "it's okay, just take it easy. Later you will meet the right person for you". Hopefully.

I am struggling these days and I come across this video. I am Indonesian 화교 and my boyfriend is Taiwanese. We dated during my master study years but then when my bf graduation was near, we both were not sure where this relationship could go. He was going to serve in the military while I needed to choose to work in Taiwan or go back Indonesia. Future seemed bleak and blurry just as what u said. Finding work as a foreigner in a country where the first language is not English was very difficult. I learn to study Chinese while applying for job. Was jobless for some time but still need to pay rent and bills. Both if us really had nothing. He shared his salary from military (which is unbelievably low) for me to pay my rent while I do part time job. Spent several months until I get job. But turns out after military, he landed job in different city and we became kinda LDR, although Taiwan was small so we still could meet every week. But working here was not easy. Today I resigned from my company and I feel hopeless and not sure where our relationship is going. I really push myself to stay, from day one (where I couldn't communicate in Chinese at all) until now (can speak intermediate Chinese). But i couldn't stay any longer since the working environment was very toxic already (I felt discriminated because I am not a local). I still don't know how to keep staying here. Finding job is very difficult these days. Salute to you Jeannette. I always felt that in this relationship I sacrificed a lot to the point that I feel unfair. But I couldn't ask my bf to do the other way around. Anyways, seeing this video reminds me not to count my sacrifices. Best wishes for both of u. It is okay! I've been LDR with mine (now husband) before for 4 years! And we've been together since 2010 hahahaha 13 years of relationship then finally getting married and staying home together

Percaya = kalian pasti sibuk, dan dulu aku LDR jakarta-aussie yg jam nya 4 jam lebi cepet diaussie. ya jangan gengges ajaa, kan dia juga kuliah pasti kalau ada waktu info kita kok, pun kita juga gitu. 2. Komunikasi yg baik. Gausah harus tiap menit or jam, cukup kabarin kalau kalian memulai aktititas dan berakhir (ud dirumah masing2). Baik2 aja atur waktu kapan bisa video call, jangan maksa jg hehe. Suami ku dulu kuliah desain so tugas banyakkkk 3. Sabar dan Jujur. Ini kunci sih :) jujur kalian kalo misal mau pergi, pergi sm syp dan ngapain. Aku sih personally memang ud percaya, asal km percaya kedepannya akan lancar sih. Soalnya as cewek pasti kita suka mikir macem2. Apalagi kalo gak bales chat lama. Tapi bener deh haha km pasti bisa nilai sendiri pasangan kamu, kamu yg lebih tau dia orang nya gimana

But thanks God, till now we’re still going strong and fine, even though we only meet 4 times or less in a year, the call became less frequent, text messages were brief, visits were rare but . . . we make sure to get each others’ back and even though waiting is so tiring it’s okay as long as we know we’re going to and understand each other, even though for other it doesn’t make sense and not balanced. I really love how real this video is, your relationship advices and personal life experience really opened my perspective to life and how things in life doesn't always have to go as planned. I major in marketing in sg and Im graduating in a year with a huge debt on me as well, been mentally distressed about my future as Im not entirely interested in what Im studying and have no idea what I want to do in future. I'm now pressurised to find a FT job in marketing just because I don't want to "waste" my degree. Seeing you taking a brave and sacrificial step to become an air stewardess which wasnt in your vision really gave me courage to face unexpected plans in life and that we dont have to follow a fixed path in life. Everytime I saw Jeannette video, I am smile n 신기하다 ㅋㅋㅋ even if this is the same English but this is my first time listen n watch Singaporean English hihi doesn't sound familiar to me it's cute ❤️ the dialect is in there soo real n Hansol also use that dialect too lmao when he is with Jeannette n it's also amaze me how he can switch up to Javanese true dialect, Korean dialect, Indonesia dialect right at the moment with whom he talks to.
I'm singaporean married to a Norwegian ..we had ldr for 4yrs in the early 2000s..then married now for 15yrs..its never easy. Still not easy..as after married you hv a whole set of problems out with in laws..children...etc etc..all the best to u and ur partner! You will both get there.

Yeah. I cried a lot for my relationship. I and my man were sacrifice a lot for several years. And, we now only do our best to made our relationship together even only meet for some days in one years. We meet in the airport and ya.. keeping every things balance is something hard in this ldr relationship.. even i was married now, we're still LDR. I have nothing and both of us are work really hard. So, Jeannette and Hansol please keep spirit and be patience. God know the best thing for your future. I know how it feels and all the sad, happy, and problem behind the scene is something that make us more strong than others.

As Hansol’s subscribers since 2015, I kinda get it that he was struggling in 2017 or around the time he said. I kinda see that in his videos as his house was a very small house, he ate simple food or little in his vlogs, he didn’t really look happy as much as he showed that he looks fine in his videos. Little did I know he really was struggling. I thought it was just in my head since he had quite a following already back then. I am happy to know you guys get through it together. God’s plan is better than our plan and it shows that it will work out when we trust Him. Look how far you both made it now!!! Jeanette gets to learn Korean and now can speak fluently with Hansol’s family and Hansol can really appreciate Jeanette for her sacrifices and for staying stonger being behind the scenes all this while.I hope you guys will stay longer together because you guys love each other so much. I am supporting both of you guys' channels because both of you have always made great and inspiring contents.
I also share several things in common with both of you.
1. I speak fluently all the languages that both of you speak - including all the Chinese dialects spoken in Singapore.
2. I used to live in that part of the world. Just like 한설, I grew up in Indonesia too. I have left Indonesia since I graduated high school. I came back to China for a year. After that, I went to KL, Malaysia to do my undergraduate and worked there after my graduation. Then, I worked in Singapore as well for some time. I am now living in both Shanghai and London for 6 months in each city throughout the year including some other parts of the world for short period of time sometimes.
I really applaud for the courage and strength that you guys have and the efforts that both of you make to go through all the things that you guys have been through and to overcome all the struggles - especially you, Jeanette. Despite having to overcome all the struggles, you still gotta work long hours in long-haul flights for a few times every month back then, I believe. Aside from that, learning Korean Language and Korean Culture is not an easy one either. By just being able to speak fluent Korean just like the natives do is just not enough to assimilate to the Korean society. I have been there before and I know how it feels. (많이 힘들죠? 힘내세요! As you have been living in Korea and you got 한설 to teach you, I think it had helped you to be fluent in Korean). Just a little sharing and not bragging, I had to figure out everything about Korean Language and cultures myself. I somehow can reach to the native level fluency and has made a lot of Korean friends and partners in both business and non-business settings by making myself think and talk to myself in Korean all the time everyday for a few months 3 years ago. Lol Haha It ain't easy for me back then, but it has paid off.
Last but not less inportant, I am surprised to learn that being a Singapore Airlines flight attendant was not initially your goal. I thought that was your dream job that you really had planned and had aimed for as that's what most, if not, all girls would dream for.
I really thought you went for it because you liked travelling and you liked aviation. I myself am an aviation enthusiast as well. (Just a hobby and not my full time job tho :)) Give me a plane type, I'll name and describe all the aircraft systems, jet engines, safety and security measure that differs from one type of plane to another and how the plane works or give me airport initials and I'll name the airports. I believe these were all the things that you gotta do and know, right?
By the way, to some people out there, just to clear some common misconceptions, the main job of flight attendant is to ensure the safety and security of all the passengers throughout the flight. Serving food and beverages is to make sure that you don't feel air sick. Do not treat and stereotype them as food and beverage servers in the sky.
Tip for being the best passenger:
- Look for your own seat number written on your boarding pass.
- Stow all your own belongings yourselves to the overhead compartments.
- Unless you have special pre-flight request, accept whatever the flight attendants offer you for food and drinks.
The bottom line is: Flight attendants ain't your mama.
Back to 한설 and Jeanette, have always been and will always be a fan of both of you, would be great to be able to meet you guys someday. Stay awesome. Peace out.

Jeanette, as Hansol subscriber from 2018, I want to say thank you for your all sacrifice for your relationship. I think if you don't do it, his content couldn't be stable as we enjoy it much now. Meanwhile, I always lighten up by his content since 2018 is my struggle year too. Some Indonesian say "there is an amazing woman behind the succesfull man", and I think thats you :)

I’ve been in Jeanette’s position. My ex boyfriend was too busy with his life, never chat me, didn’t want to have a video call though we were LDR that time. He also didn’t want to publish our relationship and we would have a fight first when I asked to take photo together. He also asked me not to post our photo together. It was so tiring that I’m the one who must understand him all the time. Even after I know he cheatted on me, I still forgave him back then. He also didn’t want to discuss my matter and I almost cried everyday coz he seems didn’t care with my feeling. Didn’t take my feeling seriously and kept saying that he was busy. My mom was so sick back then and having bf like him made me sick even more. When I cried coz my mom vomitted blood, he just went away and continued his work. Long story short, I realized that this relationship was toxic and I need to quit from this. Now I have a boyfriend that loving and caring me so much. For Jeanette, I salute you, can holding it for 4 years. Wish you both all the best. U two looking so good together🤗👍🏻

I do LDR with my korean bf for almost 4 years. We keep visiting each other and marriage plan until corona came last year. It is really hard for both of us but we choose to be patient and trust each other. 24h video calling is a new habit for us. ㅋㅋㅋ
Oh god. This came at SUCH A perfect time in my life. As a person who’s also going through LDR from Singapore with a partner who’s in Indonesia I relate so much about how communication is just never the same no matter how hard you try to bridge the gap through LDR & because we are often in different paths of lives it’s hard to relate to one another on some days but you’re right at the end of the day we just have to think back of why we chose the person & this video really reminded me of this.

I have never experienced LDR but understand very well how difficult it is to hold the ego for the common good. To be honest, the thing that is very relevant in my life lately is when I broke up with my 3 month boyfriend (my first boyfriend), it's been 2 years but currently still struggling to let go and make sure that everything that happened was not my fault. After seeing this video, I became more and more aware and talk to myself, "it's okay, just take it easy. Later you will meet the right person for you". Hopefully.

When I watching this video, I was touched. It feels like we communicate through our heart, but near end when Hansol said "my glass sengek" it changes the atmosphere. Good luck for you guys.
I am struggling these days and I come across this video. I am Indonesian 화교 and my boyfriend is Taiwanese. We dated during my master study years but then when my bf graduation was near, we both were not sure where this relationship could go. He was going to serve in the military while I needed to choose to work in Taiwan or go back Indonesia. Future seemed bleak and blurry just as what u said. Finding work as a foreigner in a country where the first language is not English was very difficult. I learn to study Chinese while applying for job. Was jobless for some time but still need to pay rent and bills. Both if us really had nothing. He shared his salary from military (which is unbelievably low) for me to pay my rent while I do part time job. Spent several months until I get job. But turns out after military, he landed job in different city and we became kinda LDR, although Taiwan was small so we still could meet every week.
But working here was not easy. Today I resigned from my company and I feel hopeless and not sure where our relationship is going. I really push myself to stay, from day one (where I couldn't communicate in Chinese at all) until now (can speak intermediate Chinese). But i couldn't stay any longer since the working environment was very toxic already (I felt discriminated because I am not a local). I still don't know how to keep staying here. Finding job is very difficult these days. Salute to you Jeannette. I always felt that in this relationship I sacrificed a lot to the point that I feel unfair. But I couldn't ask my bf to do the other way around.
Anyways, seeing this video reminds me not to count my sacrifices. Best wishes for both of u.

It is okay! I've been LDR with mine (now husband) before for 4 years! And we've been together since 2010 hahahaha 13 years of relationship then finally getting married and staying home together

1. Percaya = kalian pasti sibuk, dan dulu aku LDR jakarta-aussie yg jam nya 4 jam lebi cepet diaussie. ya jangan gengges ajaa, kan dia juga kuliah pasti kalau ada waktu info kita kok, pun kita juga gitu.
2. Komunikasi yg baik. Gausah harus tiap menit or jam, cukup kabarin kalau kalian memulai aktititas dan berakhir (ud dirumah masing2). Baik2 aja atur waktu kapan bisa video call, jangan maksa jg hehe. Suami ku dulu kuliah desain so tugas banyakkkk
3. Sabar dan Jujur. Ini kunci sih :) jujur kalian kalo misal mau pergi, pergi sm syp dan ngapain.
Aku sih personally memang ud percaya, asal km percaya kedepannya akan lancar sih. Soalnya as cewek pasti kita suka mikir macem2. Apalagi kalo gak bales chat lama. Tapi bener deh haha km pasti bisa nilai sendiri pasangan kamu, kamu yg lebih tau dia orang nya gimana

I can relate to this because I’m in ldr with my bf since i was in the university and now we both got a job and when i think it’s the time to think our future, he said that he need to support his family first and he’s just to tired to think everything at once . . . that’s okay actually and i can wait ehehe but im not gonna lie that i actually want some of his effort to make this work. But thanks God, till now we’re still going strong and fine, even though we only meet 4 times or less in a year, the call became less frequent, text messages were brief, visits were rare but . . . we make sure to get each others’ back and even though waiting is so tiring it’s okay as long as we know we’re going to and understand each other, even though for other it doesn’t make sense and not balanced. Once again, thank you Jeannette & Hansol ❤️

I really love how real this video is, your relationship advices and personal life experience really opened my perspective to life and how things in life doesn't always have to go as planned. I major in marketing in sg and Im graduating in a year with a huge debt on me as well, been mentally distressed about my future as Im not entirely interested in what Im studying and have no idea what I want to do in future. I'm now pressurised to find a FT job in marketing just because I don't want to "waste" my degree. Seeing you taking a brave and sacrificial step to become an air stewardess which wasnt in your vision really gave me courage to face unexpected plans in life and that we dont have to follow a fixed path in life. PS. Love your sassy personality !! 🥰

I'm singaporean married to a Norwegian ..we had ldr for 4yrs in the early 2000s..then married now for 15yrs..its never easy. Still not easy..as after married you hv a whole set of problems out with in laws..children...etc etc..all the best to u and ur partner! You will both get there.

Yeah. I cried a lot for my relationship. I and my man were sacrifice a lot for several years. And, we now only do our best to made our relationship together even only meet for some days in one years. We meet in the airport and ya.. keeping every things balance is something hard in this ldr relationship.. even i was married now, we're still LDR. I have nothing and both of us are work really hard. So, Jeannette and Hansol please keep spirit and be patience. God know the best thing for your future. I know how it feels and all the sad, happy, and problem behind the scene is something that make us more strong than others.
