This was my 5th show and the first time I was ever to embark on an east coast tour. I waited the rest of my Grateful Dead days watching them trying to replicate what happened during the Not Fade that night. It never happened again to the same respect. Love the podcast. I was at Vermont, then Rochester when took People's Express from Buffalo the next day, avoiding the crazy snow storm home after Rochester, to catch the Byrne shows that Saturday with my father, brother and sister. Then I had 4th row at the Sunday Byrne show, for that super hot show. My first real trip where Doug was freaked out by the super hot Franklin's lead. Jerry's lead on Love the One Your With that (4/17) night was one of my favorites of all time. I loved his juxtaposition to other guitarists. I agree while Binghamton was a fantastic experience, none of it was hot enough for the record books. Sadly, only the Not Fade was. Great reliving these tours with you Howard!!! Thanks.
Ha… caprice classic. My show sled was my old man’s 73 caprice classic. Many trips to alpine valley, uptown theater, deer creek….and soldiers field 7/9/95 ✌️
