- My first solo trip offshore into the deep blue sea in glassy conditions. 3/10ths of fuel used at average 25 knots to make the 12 nautical miles. Plenty in reserve for return to Falmouth harbour. 75m deep and crystal clear. Dolphins found me! no other vessels in sight just distant hum of large container ships.
i carry, flares, PLB, VHF, mobile phone, lithium battery starter, PFD, tow line, anchor, medi kit and emergency paddle!
no supercharger so great fuel economy (1 litre per nm - 70 litre tank) and engine working well below its ability.

Love your shoes mate! I always worry when I take mine out even though it never gave me any problems! I met a friend in the middle of the ocean and I feel more comfortable.

Beautiful, I don't think I would have left my ski though. Imagine not being able to get back to it after you dive in. Just an irrational fear of mine.
You should always practice getting back on your ski so you’re prepared to be able to do so if you ever fall off, also this ski has a nice step bar in the back.

Your definitely right about the supercharged using more fuel. I have a RXT 300 and fish off it but my distance out is short due to fuel consumption.
Got a new sub here. I quite fancy 1 of these for the fishing off the North East Coast.
After a years ownership i am still just enjoying the freedom of a PWC, cant wait to actually do some fishing! :)

Great Video. Just waiting for my new GTI to arrive in April. Should be using That area a fair bit as it’s local to me. For the same reasons chose a non supercharged as I want the extra distance over the extra speed.
Hi Charlie, great video. I've put a deposit down for a 2021 Fish Pro, do you have any advice on which accessories were worth having and which ones were not worth having?
decent anchor and a fuel caddy! and on my list is hand grip warmers :)
I did consider the docking fenders but they require drilling to fit which i wasn't keen on and in retrospect i don't think they are adequate for my use (sea/rocky slipway). I prefer to anchor just offshore and swim to and from my landings. If its proper sandy i am happy to beach it briefly and secure with a grapnel anchor, but in 10 mins it could be high and dry on an ebbing tide.
I would be scared to be out that far with a Seadoo. So many videos of them sinking on a Facebook page, even 2021 models via carbon seal failure. I cannot wait till they fix that issue.

Do you feel confident that the Sea-Doo will get you home every time being that far out ?
yes quite confident. i bought non supercharged due to fears or reliability and fuel consumption. i also carry a lithium battery starter should i run it flat somehow. My only fear is sucking up a bit of debris that jams in the impeller. 5 knots home would be interesting!
I have an 08 Seadoo , and Rotax engine never left me stranded, starts as soon as you bump the button.
Fair play man madness out that far on a ski , if wind picked up your in a hairy situation very quickly but kudos I’m on the sea all my life and you have balls of steel 😂

@@yaseen_abbas you can fit teh rear deck to other S3 hull seadoo's but its a DIY job. 300hp would be amazing but there is a trade in range. depends on where you ski - big lakes soudnb good for 300hp play but offshore you will rarely get flat enough seas to use the 300hp top speed. Acceleration you can use anywhere but fuel goes fast. The 155hp of my 2019 FishPro still keeps me entertained but i am more into exploration than racing.
With my luck when I jumped in the water that's about the time a shark would have came up and bit me .

I live in Alaska, thinking about buying one... I don't know how safe I would feel in 500ft of water though.. it petrifies me.

The waterproof marine VHF is a much needed safety thing, as is wearing it! no point if it sinks with the PWC (worst case) could be a long swim!

I was just thinking how can I get into the sea away from humans and the congested piers. Oh maybe I can fish from a Jetski and even go freediving off shore. Checks price of Jetski...wtff they cost as much as a used boat. lol
