No that's not true at all. You will get aim assist in close and mid-range fights only. The aim assist will not be strong as you think. You still need to do much effort while aiming. It will help to improve your aim for sure.
Usually common gives more aim assist then default then off. But for responsiveness the off is the best. In this case reducing poling rate on off is giving a good balance between aim assist and responsive aim.

@@alanrekani6201 I have tried the xim on 240 fps and it is not playable. All the pro controller players are capping their fps to 144. I have tried 165 fps and it was working fine but to get the best result you should use 144 fps.
The are two ways for that. First one is the default to loot using the keyboard and to scroll up & down with mouse. The second one is to loot by mouse and to scroll up & down using the keyboard (this needs to be configured in the app)

Make sure to use ps4 or xbox controller with micro usb. Also you need to update your xim.
