Had been following Denison for years but lost touch a while ago. How I missed this is beyond me. A beautiful and heartbreaking (in some ways) album.
I feel like I'm hearing this song in a moving movie scene that makes me cry.
The whole American Foursquare album is one of favorites -- and this song brings tears to my eyes. Honest and heartfelt songs about change and moving close to his family. It speaks to these days of lockdown. Lost my mom and dad, and he reminds us of the loving that comes from being with brothers and sisters. Hope and love, brother
If you read about the story that inspired the song it will really move you to tears. A beautiful song and eulogy to such a little one..
This is how I interpret the visuals:
1. A *nest* of flower bouquet at the beginning
- nest = a relationship that you wish could be your home
- flower = the beautiful memories you share with you partner or the symbol of your partner
2. Frozen flower bouquet = when relationship grows apart and your partner becomes cold toward you.
But because it's frozen, so the singer still wish that one day the ice will melt and that bouquet of flower will return him again as beautiful as before. He even reach out to the frozen flower longingly at one point.
This sentiment also reflect in the lyrics that has the lingering feeling of can't letting go of another person.
Yeah, this made me cry. Don't let Catalina go :(

Love this song, but... am I the only one who thought the name of this song was "Carolina Love"??? He's really singing "Catalina" there? I don't hear that at all.
