- After the success of the Simgot EA500, the EA500 LM is a bit of a puzzle. Here's why, you should buy one over the other.

Great review. Love the relaxed format
Nice review and I love your walk and talk format.
Love your videos... Your audio reviews are Soo much more than just audio.
I like this format of review as well!
Thank for your thoughts.
Outstanding. You're my go to reviewer when it comes to IEM's
I don't what you're doing in Besant Nagar but I hope you enjoyed your stay. Loved the video.
Love this style of presentation
Great video! I haven't heard the ea500, but in my short time I am really liking the ea500LM.
I will try to push my review soon too.
Very brave statement. Agree with you...at least for too much upper midrange.
I've got the simgot EA500lm and love them (using brass nozzle). They are truly amazing for the price and a really really enjoyable listen.
Dude you graphed the most sibilant nozzles of the three. The Silver/Black are unlistenable. Gold nozzles (y'know the ones which arrive on the IEMs stock) are where it's at
So you don't like the LM, that'sokay! I love them!!
do more content style like this I like it
Thanks for some nuance on the simgot stuff. Some hype has surrounded the Kefine Delci as of late and i hope you get that unit in and discuss your thoughts as its a more relaxed tuning but people claim its a sufficiently detailed IEM for under $100 US.
Lovely city by the way and laughed at that moment with the uber driver lol
What's the best gaming headset for competitive under 4k inr u wpuld recommend
As far as im aware imaging usually comes down to poor driver matching and not so much frequency response since ive played with iems that have horrible frequency but were still good enough to tell up - down - left -right etc , would love to try the ea500lm since alot of people praise it to see for myself if that is indeed the case
get one of those... EA500LM... They sound fantastic... I have them... they won't let you down
Then what do you recommend to be able to hear directional audio?
Just made a comparison video of the delci vs everything under 50-100$ that I've heard and I think is good...made some recommendations there
Thanks to showing beach, where, what is your professional work sir 😊
Gold nozzle and feaule h570 tips
This was such a cool video. What city is that? It looks awesome
It's Chennai, India
It looks alive!
Can you give me the nozzle size/diameter? I need a smaller one than the red's since i cant wear them for more than 10 minutes without hurting
Kefine delci video out now...nozzle is a bit smaller and the body is also smaller
Is it Mylapore, I saw in board
The GOLD nozzles are the best for this IEMs, I don't like the other nozzles... I love de EA500LM and for the first time I don't share your opinion with this one 😂 I'm sorry, I think it have a good imaging and a very likable bass+treble details, for me is an improvement from the ea500 ... Congratulations for this format of review, I like it too!
Are you a low or mid volume listener?
Interesting take and nice impression of some part of Chennai.
Single DD and percussion guy here with literally millions of well recorded 24bit samples. Now, while each of the Simgots reproduces my ref samples slightly differently and there are IEMs with more natural (and faaar worse) timbres out there I'm still more than OK with the tonal, timbral and technical rendering of my single DD Simgots (500, 1000, LM) on a great source and better cable *AFTER* some quick and dirty mods (nozzles, foam, mesh). YMMV.
@evoprox1 em6l though.. that's another story
hmm nice one...have you tried tangzu xuan nv
Hey, would you be able to make a recommendation for male vocals between $20-50?
I tend to like natural, clean, and slightly forward vocals. I'm recently lost my Zero 1s and was looking for a replacement.
I was looking at (going upwards in price) IEMs like, the EPZ Q1 Pro, the Moondrop Lans, and quite possibly the Artti R2s.
For reference, I own the Zero 2s now but I find that male vocals come across as a bit muddy at times. I like natural yet slightly energetic vocals that are clean.
Thanks 👍
Lan is quite good but moondrop may seems like it would be male vocal forward..have you considered it ?
@@imwhatsnew Nice, I haven't actually. I'll look into those. Thanks 👍
@@imwhatsnew Hi, all I am finding is the DSP version for the May. Can I still EQ them if needed?
@@hmf33the cable is replaceable so yes you can
Hey dude, please try reviewing the Fiio JT1s, they've been getting a lot of hype lately.
I trust my ears... the 500LM is a very good sounding set. Maybe you got one with qc issues.
Nope.
Agreed! I own the LM for the past 3 months and I often wonder what is it that it does the best? Why do I have it in my collection? The Imaging is nowhere precise, only thing I can give it to the LM is the wider soundstage. The sub-bass is there but the impact of drums is lacking, the instruments suffer from metallic timbre and Vocals are pushed back, got clarity but no sweetness.
ESS DACs makes the treble even sharper, I enjoyed it a little on iFi xDSD Gryphon though. I often go back to my 5 year old iBasso IT00 but miss the slightly better Instrument separation I get on the LM, so then I eq and use the LM until I find a better iem to hold onto. Eyes on the new MEZE Alba now.
Disagree but just not because I love 500LM in all ways. If this hobby is completely subjective why I should recommend or not an IEM or Headphone to anyone? So what I recommend is to buy whatever IEM you want to try and have your own conclusions. The only advice is be sure the fit is the best for your ears, choose the correct esrtips with a good seal, deep insertion and listen to your favorite songs. Maybe you enjoy it, may be not. All is up to you!
Note: I own the OG EA500, EA500LM n' EA1000 in my collection. All 3 sound way different. Not better not worse than the other, only different. I personally enjoy the EA1000 the most
Can you measure the ea500lm's nozzle diameter please? I need a smaller one than the project red's since i cant wear them for more than 10 minutes without hurting
Thiruvanmiyur....in Chennai
what you think of ea1000 😅
My man back in India. 🔥
yeah i think this simgot sets get hype because of the detail, but that detail comes at the price of being very cold and metallic. so yeah this sets( simgot) are very good at that, being detail or perceive detail but the timbre is not that good
you should try the artti t10 budget planar, getting good reviews or the budget dsp offerings tanchjim one dsp(standard tuning is crin 2020 with bass boost and in the app it has neutral no bass boost, it has harman and a few other) and the chu 2 dsp(also crin 2020 with bass boost).
Use the brass nozzle. I love the simgot for their full enjoyable sound!
I don’t why people hype it so much. It just has too much treble and doesn’t sound natural at all.
what tws u are using? the sound of the mic is quite good/ok
Its just the camera mic. The tws just happened to be in my ear. It's the oneplus buds 2 pro fwiw.
@@imwhatsnew no wonder 😂, I'm in the market for tws since my old one have died..
Brother are you in Tamilnadu?
the ea500 lm is to me an attempt at being a 500 dollar iem. costing only 80 bucks, it does a great job at that, but one can hear the quasi resolution you are talking about if one listens careful enough
The audio form the ea500lm using chord mojo 2 is excellent!
Under 20K rupees
Please suggest the best
Punchy base lines are a treat to listen
Not any other requirements
At that price there are a number of options...for bass alone the mp145 is an option..so is the chopin..
💯
simgot iems = harman with mid bass and crazily boosted air region
Hi ,I am from Karnataka , in video u r in tamilnadu , where, why, ? Your hometown please?
S in Simgot stands for sibilance
😅👌🏻
Nah, use the brass nozzle.😊
Looks like you had badQC/faulty unit, treble channel mismatch will do this to you.
Ea500lm is significantly better than ea500 technical wise even if you EQ them flatly to harman.
One of the reasons why it's hard to take most of IEM review community for more than entertainment. It's such a mess to fabricate far-reaching conclusions based on a single unit, without proper measuring equipment and without looking around and thinking about real reasons for the clear anomaly.
I think it's more on the manufacturers not giving their products proper QC. You shouldn't expect reviewers to go out of their way to see every unit and measure a lot in case there is variation. Not to mention everyone's ears are different and because of tuning, sometimes the technicalities can be lost if other frequencies distract from that. Like for example I didn't think the Olina SE was that technically great until I put a set of foam tips on it to tame those upper mids. Unless you're sensitive to upper mids like I am you wouldn't perceive an issue. So if you don't agree with a reviewer fine, find someone that does agree with you because chances are they have an ear like yours. You wouldn't go to a treble lover if you were a bass head as a simple example.
Sorry for the essay but this kind of take bugs me when there is a serious lack of perspective for how other people perceive sound.
@@Danger0use it's ChiFi man, expectations are not high to begin with. And i'm more than sure that ea500 and ea500lm have exactly the same QC.
@@MrGarkin I will say I get where you're coming from but I don't get your reply. Are you saying he shouldve bought another unit or what? Like youre just okay with risking wasting your money without anothers opinion to inform you? If we're buying a product I think it shouldn't matter where it's from it should work as is. If someone gets a bad unit it shouldn't be on them to fix the company's mistake.
Why did it exists? Attend a public that prefers a little more bass, maybe?
At last. Someone that states simgot tuning problem honestly. Beside the imaging, they're also incredibly shouty. I cannot with simgot.
Do you pretend to bring the Edifier Neobuds Pro 2?!
If that's the case and still ea500lm is accepted by community then dioko also want justice 😂
Breath of fresh air for all the hype about them
Or maybe , a breath of 'biased' fresh air?
@@rajeebdas1724 Yes you are completely right. Looking forward to your video as we need a breath of unbiased fresh air 🙏🙇
Great video! I have exactly the same impression about the EA500. I can't stand it's turning. It's just wrong. I will stay far away from the LM.
The lm are a totally different beast. I'm using the brass nozzle and these are the best IEMs I've heatd for under $150.
Way more enjoyable than my hexas.
Are you back in India?
Very briefly :)
This was exactly what I felt. I couldn't understand at all why every other reviewer was praising them. This was the most expensive IEM I had bought so far. Wish I spent that money on something else😢
Hexa all the way, baby!
@@thecoolerplayer6813 Yeah, should've gotten that.. I had fit issues with that though
There vlogging is unknown,, people behind you are laughing 😊
Now that we know what 'detail' is, let's talk about what the difference is between the 'fake' and 'true' type.
I believe the detail on LM is fake.. I'm so disappointed
@@andersonbritto3088 what is true detail then?
@@zaq9339 Not like I have a definition for it. True detail to me would simply be, hearing everything in the track with the right amount of energy. If one item is pushed too forward to make it seem like it shines then that's not detail, that's just pushed forward.
@@andersonbritto3088 But we don't know what it sounded like in real life so you're comparing what you hear to what you think that sound should be. But it might've sounded totally different the way it was recorded. The only way to make sure we have the right amount of detail is to emulate audio mastering gear. Assuming that, we probably should be aiming at a nice smooth fr curve that tracks our pinna gain closely and ensures parts of the fr are given equal attention, no peaks or dips. The rest is up to the track itself. If it's bad it's gonna sound bad, if it's detailed it'll be detailed but never over or underemphasized because of our playback device (like nobody expects a 240p video to turn 4k just because the screen is 4k). So the "detail" lives in both production and reproduction but for some reason the audio market focuses only on the reproduction side. Wonder why?.. This might be why other reviewers liked the LM. The more exotic the tuning the more hit or miss the iem/track pairing becomes.
@@zaq9339 There's definitely no way to tell when something sounds exactly right, somewhere in the ballpark might be acceptable,, but your brain with 25+ years of training hearing all kinds of sounds and some decent amount of good gear can absolutely tell when something sounds wrong.
Please review moondrop may and rose technics star city 5 pro.
I totally disagree with you since the EA500LM is much better than the EA500. I have one of those and it sounds fantastic. Energetic and with a lot of detail. and the tuning is perfect. Greetings from Argentina. 😃😃👋
Agree with you. EA500LM are very enjoyable and amazing value.
Same here, I have both. Agree 100%.
I own both and thought the LM's were better...I actually handed down the first 500's to a cousin because I got the LM's! 🤷 Was I way off?!
@@David_Wattswhat do you mean?? You only ask before purchase to help decide, but if you already had both how can you not know what you prefer? That's a very odd question to ask if you were "off" as only you can answer that.
@@residentzero I'm asking (rhetorically) if I was wrong to give away the original ea500's because I bought the LM's thinking they were gonna be better....get it?
Simgot playa with tuning. By boosting uper mid range & presence area. People think those as resolution lol
I agree. The timbre is off. Hard pass
Brass nozzle is spot on.
Everyone hypes the em6l even though they almost have the same tuning, that's proved tech is a major factor, maybe due to hardware upgrades
I've heard good things about em6l, too..wouldn't want to judge it harshly without trying it first.
I don't like the treble of the em6l. I use dunu s&s tips to tone it down, just like the letshuoer s12 and the khan (high volume listener)
@richardblaauwgeers4349
That's maybe due to the insertion variations, maybe you got a better seal with these, this is why all shift to 5128 instead of 711
Hi.. I like to say something.. I think you are so casual, your viewers & subscribers deserve this kind of casualness then go head.. but I don't like it ..
Feel free to watch the other reviews. This one was a different style..it's good to mix it up.
Novel. Don't do that again plse. Also lip sync was off. EA1000 is a good Simgot.
