I really enjoyed this show, even if some parts are off-putting or random as hell. Great voice acting with that classic shoujo artstyle and an amazing story that kept me hooked watching 4 episodes every night. Would recommend anyone to try it if they want to see some drama :)
This reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club where they meet students from the all girls academy. And how those students were all completely crazy. Lol.
@@joaozin-o9x Oh definitely I agree. Ouran isn’t as disturbing. It’s a comedy. But it is still super weird at times. The most bizarre to me was the students from the all girls academy. Their behavior kind of creeped me out sometimes honestly.
The guy that Oura were nowhere near as crazy. How many times did you see the breakout knives ? Did someone bleed from their wrist from getting stabbed at Ouran ? Nope.
After watching this series for the first time and rewatching it this summer, i wish that Tezuka Production would make more series out like Oniisama e... from Riyoko Ikeda's works, maybe like "Orpheus no Mado" or maybe "Claudine". The artstyle in this series is something indescribably beautiful and the amount of melodrama is something unbeliavable.
This young girl was jealous with those other girls at classroom and she used a sharp knife at classroom! And she’s cuts his violin and finally no one tells anyone happens without killing!
@@mohasalmedeh2567 Will just say plenty of yuri, definitely not kid friendly stuff and school fights with one another or another all females school. All female schools were literally very different back then
One scene that I thought was super over the top was when Nanako bumped into Rei and she was so caught up in her emotions she was just sobbing uncontrollably on Rei and not even realize Rei was literally losing consciousness from withdrawals lol
I dont know if youre still curious after 2 years, but it comes down to a lot of heavy drama in a fancy all girls school with a sorority. Covers suicide, drug addiction, very complicated family situations, cancer, and i theorize at least one character to have severe untreated borderline. Also its pretty gay. Its considered one of the mothers of yuri/shoujo ai, and the main character ends up in a lesbian relationship by the end altho it does not have a happy ending (just a warning)
@@realityisascam i definitely suspect mariko of having borderline, because it appears most straightforward and clear in her character, but i do think it could be possible for rei too
@@realityisascam yeeeeah she may be more calm and collected overall than mariko but i def recognize some traits, and i really enjoy diverse mental health issues portrayed in media so oniisama e was rly interesting to me even if it was very dramatic for an average school girls life lol

This feels like the anime embodiment of that one compilation of dramatic indian soap operas.
Have you seen what Turkish soap operas are like?
No a telenovela crossed with teen drama if it was done right and and young adult novel without a world gone to shit and stock evil villain
Yeah😂 that's the first thing that comes to my mind also
Avez-vous déjà regardé des feuilletons mexicains diffusés sur Televisa?
For all violinists, musicians and people out there who were truly hurt by the scene entitled "Violin Massacre", I sympathize with you.
You call that "melodramatic", animes of today? *THIS* is melodramatic!
you missed the part where rei almost stabs nanako to death because she thought she was fukiko

Pardon me but where did you get a chance to watch it dear?
This artstyle and retro animation is beautiful at that time, I wish I could watch it because of the dramatic storyline...
I love this show so much. Best kind of melodrama
The "Volleyball Suicide" scene is a lot sadder on rewatch. 😢
Foreshadowing in anime, but not in the manga... Spoiler Alert(Saint-Juste died by drug overdose, not on the running train)
This is the funniest thing I ever watched! So dramatic.
This reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club where they meet students from the all girls academy. And how those students were all completely crazy. Lol.
Bem que Dear Brother poderia ter sido uma versão bem perturbadora de Ouran High School Club. Não concorda?

I hated the characters so much in the beginning but ended up loving the anime by the end. Great anime.
I loved this anime, but I have to day that I was a little bit disappointed by the end of it, I felt like I've been betrayed on
90's censors eh 🥲
The manga is different
These women need some psycho therapy.
Another masterpiece of #OsamuDesaki

In this show I loved only Fukiko Ichinomiya's character.
I’d be like yo why this school not pay its light bill?
Is everyone in this drama insane, I don’t get it.
