The owls are the keeper of dreams. The gate keepers. Also have the gift of silent flight. I know a pair of barn owls that will allow me to visit their nest and sit with their babies and hold them. It is such a blessing and honor to do so.
The owl is the first totem animal that I discovered fit me and I've worked with her ever since. She's guided me for years and I've come to deeply appreciate the creatures. She's helped me see deep into myself, into others, in solving problems by seeing the big picture and focusing on details and giving me glimpses into the spirit world. Owl is a beautiful creature and wonderful spirit guide, one who has a very special place on my altar.
I took a walk on the ocean bluffs, watching herds elk lounging in the May 1st sunshine. Beautiful bright wild flowers everywhere. Good Beltane to you too. My return trip got me kind of down; having to weather some negative energies and issues going on in my area. What you said about owl's ability to quickly shift focus has helped me regain the healing views of the morning. Owl shows me how! Also bringing a little light of day into the night like the owl's eyes. Thank you Laura.

For real the wise old owl is dual energy. I'm finding it's secrets. Its a Mayan Zodiac also the owl lives on 6 out of the 7 continents. Two eyes, two ears and one mouth, look and listen four times as much as we talk. Your right wise old owl.Respect and love the Elders.
I'd loved owl for as long as I can remember, my first word was Archimedes, the talking owl from the Disney movie Sword and the Stone. She's always with me, and I call on her during the dark time to help me *see* I have a crystal owl on my altar as well as a barn owl feather & burrowing owl feather! Great video, Green Blessings /|\
walked into a shop today to buy myself a tie die shirt.. went through about 20 different ones.. i saw one with an owl on it and i just knew that was the one.. there where ones with wolves etc also looked cool but the owl was the one and now i watched your video and i can totally relate to everything.. guess this is my totem.. will havto get a tattoo soon.. it will be my first.. :D

Owl came to me a s a child very young about 3 or 4 I was terrified, it was only in retrospection in my teen years and subtle clues from the world I came to realize it is my life totem. It is a very challenging totem, the clairvoyance is true and the interests in mysteries is true. Owl can bring you messages, and yes secrets are revealed..owl knows the motivations from the sub-concious..owl knows the one thing people cannot face quite often, two other totems I have are black jaguar and hawk.
I feel very connected to birds. Raven and Hawk are two of my totems. I remember owls all throughout my life. I was thinking that I might have Barn Owl as a totem as well. Its attributes are like mine as well. Do you think I could have more then 2 bird totems? Thanks. :-)

So a while ago I had a dream and a brown owl.I don't know what kind but it had a flat head.Well the owl was sitting on a tree and I went over to hug it because in the dream I had so much love I wanted to share.So I went over to hug it and the owl told me using human words,no that owls didn't like to be hugged,and I was kind of sad or disapointed because I wanted to hug the owl.So then the owl said "well,we might do this" and the owl took it's wing and twisted it and put it on my nose,and I could feel so much love and I was so happy.Then my mom came in my room and woke me up so I don't know what happens next.Then just today me my mom and my sister were at a craft fair.I saw an owl necklace and so my mom got me one,but it took a while for me to decide witch one I wanted.And while we were there I kept saying how much I would like more owl things.Because I used to be obsessed with penguins.I still like penguins but the obsession of them lasted for 7 or 8 years.Now I think that the owl is going to be one of my obsessions.Well when we walked out of the craft fair and we were done shopping we went outside.Outside on a lamp post a snowy white owl was just sitting there.The head was flat,like the owl in my dream but the color was differn't.and today I'm wearing a white dress and the owls white and so I don't know if that has to do with anything or not.So I was litterly staring at the owl.The owl turned it's head down quickly looked at me and made some owl sounds,then looked back up to where it was.I'm not sure what that means.And I think that one of my totem animals is an owl.I do think that the owl was there for me.Can you please tell me what you think this means? And could you please do a Penguin totem video? Thank you for your time. :)
i don't know why the space went there on my entry below. oh well. i want to add a recommendation for those who might not have thought of this: once you know what kind of owls live in your area, learn the calls each kind makes. that way you know which kind of owl you're hearing. it really enhances your nature experience. it helps you know what's going on in nature at night where you are. you can learn from birders or on the computer from numerous sites.
a wise old owl sat in an oak, the more he saw the less he spoke. The less he spoke, the more he heard, why aren't we like that wise old bird. :)

I feel a spiritual connection to owls. When I do get lucky enough to hear them it makes my hair stand on end. I love the way they sound.

Also owls are the animal to use with Dark Ancestor Altars. They help teach family history which may be lost if we forget where we came from.

My spiritual animal is the butterfly. :) But I'm also connected with the wolf and the moose. Other animals do jump in from time to time.
