hi karam i followed all the steps but after running the dynamo player ...the sphere didn't change and what ever I am doing its not changing to geodesic some even the points are not coming what shall I do help!!!!
hello @karam i will use more than one geodesic dome in my project and each of them will have different materials. However i couldnt find a way to duplicate family type and change the material. Each time it makes all geodesic domes same. do you have an solution for it?
Well, you have to install Synthesize toolkit to get those tools www.aecedx.com/blog/revit/karam/synthesize-family-toolkit-installation-fixing/ That link contain a video for how-to, although it's in Arabic, but you can follow along, until I find time to translate all my work to English
I smell an issue from an old Revit version, you should use Revit 2022.. Please also check this: www.aecedx.com/blog/revit/karam/synthesize-family-toolkit-installation-fixing/ It's not in English, but you can follow it easily
Thank you very much for the video, Karam. I have installed "Synthesize toolkit". But when I use "Conceptual.Adaptive K-Super Geodesic Paneling" just like in the video, the computer counts for a while, but in the end nothing changes on the screen. What could be wrong? I have the Russian version of revit 2021 installed. I used the Metric Responsive Model Family template.
@@julesfocke This specific case was solved in Revit 2022, I suspect the problem you're having is another one.. Probably your inside a command while Dynamo is running. Hello. Nice toolkit. I am interested in an intensity 2 half dome. Is it possible to have a pentagon at the top in the Revit model ? I try to modify the parameters but I always have hexagon at the top. Thanks a lot.
I'm not sure but we are in the process of a complete remake of Synthesize toolkit to work with ALL Revit versions. This may take a while, probably around when Revit 2025 is released
Dear Kram Baki; I have error: "Apllication Dynamo Player - AECedx - Karam" "Works with Revit 2022 or above." btw. I have Revit 2021, core version 2.6. Any clue?
Hello Jakub, yes the newest version of the script supports Revit 2022. I cancelled the support for older Revit versions for this scripts specifically due to some changes Autodesk made recently. So, I'd recommend you install Revit 2022 and try again with it.
Hello nice video, a question there is a second part of the video where you show how it is possible to quantify materials from the construction of the dome.
Hello Marcela, Please install Synthesize toolkit first : www.aecedx.com/blog/revit/karam/synthesize-family-toolkit-installation-fixing/ The guide is in Arabic language, but you can simply follow it to get it ready.
I can advise to re-install Synthesize toolkit, you may also send me more information to help you determine the issue, for example: what Revit version you're using, and it's good to send me a sample you're trying to work on so I can test on my side as well. Please send those information to: karam@aecedx.com
How can I get a conceptual toolkit for Revit 2018 please help me I am stuck for this geodesic dome for long time
Thank You So Much Sir...Loved It ..!!! I would like to see more and learn from You
I wish this was still available in Revit 2021. I am locked to using this version of revit for now. Sad to have missed this

Hey @Karam, your videos are very useful but I need to model a dome with 3 diff. panel sizes, Can you pls make a tutorial on that?
hi does it work with 2020 revit? I am not able to update to revit 2022
Unfortunately versions prior 2022 has so many geometrical inconsistencies that I was forced to make it work with 2022 and above

Do the Synthetisize toolkit works with Revit 2018 and Dynamo 1.2.2.373 ?

Hello Corentin, I don't guarantee that, I recommend using Revit 2019 at least, and final version is even better

Hello nice video, a question there is a second part of the video where you show how it is possible to quantify materials from the construction of the dome.

You can pretty much use material takeoff and schedules in Revit to do all the required calculations, it's a normal pattern/adaptive family
