Hope people will read this, why can’t shopify make the editing options in your store easier? I mean, without needing to use coding? Mobile users struggle with that, and this is the problem why is hard for us make sales.
Thank you for watching our videos! The Shopify platform and themes we offer allow you to make a ton of customizations and edits to your storefront. Is there something in particular you are having trouble editing?
@@learnwithshopify amazing service! I didn’t know you would reply, and yes, I am having problem with changing the background color, I added the slides and on the bottom there is a < 1/2 > section where the color doesn’t change.
Thank you for clarifying that. While we are limited in the troubleshooting we can provide with customizations on our public channels, please connect with us through our Help Center so we can better assist here: shopify.link/D8kd. We look forward to hearing from you.
Question: The Shopify store shown in the video which is related to anime characters, will it run into copyright issues? Will Shopify ban the account if there is a copyright claim on the store? Kindly advise, thank you.
Hey there! While we can't provide legal advice, we can share that we support the protection of intellectual property and our Acceptable Use Policy (shopify.link/oe5Y) prohibits posting or uploading content that infringes on the copyright or trademarks of others. You can learn more about that here: shopify.link/VgkK. If you wish to sell copyrighted, branded or trademarked goods you may seek advice from a legal counsel.
I wouldn't speak for Shopify with regard to their Acceptable Use Policy and they likely won't answer a very direct question about specific stuff, here's some real-world legal info. Using copyrighted materials can land you in a wide variety of situations, depending on the will and tenacity of all the players. 1] Does copyright on anime exist? If you create something in a distinguishable style, there is most likely a copyright involved. So the short answer is yes. And you can create fan art so long as you don't make money with it or use it to defame or defraud the copyright holder, and you can't claim a "fair use exception". 2] On the low low end, nobody is going to hassle you if the copyright holder never sees it. It's a big internet out there and most creators are creating, not scouring the internet to find out of someone is using their copyright materials. That said, if you are spotted, the copyright holder may or might not care or take action. There's a lot of fake anime stuff out there and it seems like the copyright holders either don't care or are happy to see it out there, so long as you aren't infringing on their income stream. ***** Side note: Given how fast stuff is moving, it's entirely possible that there is software being developed that will do all the searching and indexing for copyright purposes, meaning a creator wouldn't actually have to look for you. The software would know and be able to index and catalog every byte out there and look for copyright violations. A few years ago, this seemed inconceivable. Google had this tool in the public sphere that could look for the same picture, but I haven't seen it recently. UA-cam has something similar for videos, so I can't think that with so much money at stake, it's reasonable that tools are being developed to find any and all copyright violations. 3] All options are open if you violate a copyright. These can vary from asking the host [Shopify] to either remove the content or shut you down. How they handle it internally is their choice, and they may or might not be willing to draw specific lines in the sand. Most publishers leave the language a bit vague so their options are open. 4] Worst case, the copyright holder could sue you for violations and for the income you made on their brand. It would be rare to happen and terribly expensive, so unless you are selling vast amounts or are just a pain in their neck, they are probably satisfied with just shutting you down. However, I've seen copyright cases go to court and people get sued for 10s of millions in compensatory damages, punitive damages, plus lawyer fees and the $150K per incident fine. The best advice, all things considered is... just don't mess with someone's intellectual property. It almost certainly isn't going to make you much money, it is unethical and illegal, and even if you just lose your website, it will probably cost you far more than it could potentially make for you.
Hi, Otmane. If Stripe isn't available in your region, there are many other options. Simply select your country in this document (bit.ly/3ZplYOv) and the full list of available gateways will display.
She's got some amazing video camera presence. While she does a good job for Shopify, she could be running her own classes on how to own the script in front of a video camera. I suspect she had a lot of practice growing up at home.
I love the bags! My wife doesn't carry one anymore, but if she did, I'd get her that Opera. Such a spectacular design. [The perfect model as well BTW 😉] I'm keeping this site bookmarked for myself for one of those backpacks.
