Nice job hooking that tarpon! And all the rest too. We are headed to St John USVI this coming winter and I am bringing gear and also have a guide lined up. I can't wait!!!
I bring 3 rods with me. One rod is for big fish over 40 pounds. Then I have a medium rod for normal fishing. I bring a light rod for small reef fish, which I love catching. All of my rods are cheap telescopic rods, they all cost about $20. The rods are called Hurricane Mako.
Just went back 1 week from Curaçao, caught one big tarpon with dead bait and the rest of the different species i caught with mine 10gram Rod!! Also that barracuda thanks.! I want to buy a second light rod from max 15g now for the distance.
Great content. I'm heading to St. Thomas in Feb. Curious about fishing license/permits? Can you purchase online or is there a certain store there to look for?
I went to Saint kitts before, tried all what I had and only catched one fish in a month...jajajaja.. there are ponds with tarpoons...and couldnt catch not even one
Hey man nice video, I am back in Curacao next week work at the coastguard, would you please mind sharing the location of this mark? I will have a bit of time to have a good explore and cast. Many thanks and Tite Lines G
what "shoes" are you using? headed down there soon to do the same thing, don't want to get my feet torn up by coral & Rocks? and did you show the bait you used for the Tarpon?

Love the content bud. What type of rig and bait do you use for mutton snapper?
Thanks man, I appreciate it. I was just using a light action spinning reel, with 8lb line. And mainly just using small crank baits.
Blessings

@chrisangerman576 okay thanks for the reply mate. All the best G
@@GsTiteLines no problem, good luck. I’m sure the fishing there is awesome!
@chrisangerman576 yeah it pretty good. Lots of Snook, Jacks, Tarpon and Barracuda but really fancy going for some micro species. Thanks again G
@@GsTiteLines awesome. I like targeting the smaller stuff too, you can get a different species every cast.

Is that hullbay.

I’ve tried every type of water shoes, and the best thing is crocs. Everything else is bad in sand.
I got the tarpon on swim baits. I get more barracuda then anything but a tarpon will hit it occasionally.
@@chrisangerman576 thanks for the info

Baby barrow has camaflaug pattern.
