My biggest frustration with fragrances, these days especially, is that they do not last and I can barely smell them for an hour. This applies mostly to floral and citrus, but that is a category that I really enjoy. But even some of gourmand and fruity are gone pretty quickly. I have yet to find one that I absolutely love that also has good lasting power.
Have you tried Atelier des Ors Blanc Polychrome? That is a dry citrus fragrance, on me lasts 6 hours. The other citrus I would recommend is a slightly sweet Parade by Celine, it last the whole day on me. It could be your skin absorbing too fast. However, do your colleagues/friends/family smell it on you? Maybe you just get nose blind.

That one is definitely in my top 10. I've worn it at least 5 times since I got my full bottle around Xmas 2023. I find maybe the spiciness is a bit more present in colder weather. And on cool spring days, the vanilla is a bit more syrupy... Supposedly, the dry down is similar to Cuir Beluga... It's gorgeous! 😍 ❤
I also got the Shaghaf version of Velvet Tonka a few weeks ago. It's in the oxidization corner at the moment... It looks like a gentler version. I got less of a boozy tobacco in that one.

I smelled Delox once in the store, wow such a beautiful scent. I don't like rose on my fragrances but this one is exception. Delox on my wishlist, I'll add it to my collection soon. Good video as always!
I have both BDK velvet Tonka and Shaghaf Oud Tonka and I find myself grabbing for the Shaghaf more. I'm so addicted to it I had to get a back up so that can be waiting for me already macerated. Velvet Tonka to be is more floral and powdery. I get more creaminess from Shaghaf Oud Tonka. It's a love for me. I've been so tempted to get Delox but I kept hearing it's similar to roses Vanille and gentle Fluidity Gold. I'll wait for your detailed review to decide. I have enough rose coffee scents.
I had a similar experience with a Montale fragrance, except mine was Chocolate Greedy. The first few times I wore it, I loved loved loved it. I had only purchased a tiny 1ml sample, so after I tried it, I immediately bought a 5ml. (I put a full bottle in my cart but was waiting to buy it)
The third time I wore it, it changed to my nose and as weird as this sounds, all I could smell was corn. Corn 🌽! I don't know why that happened but I do know that my search for the perfect chocolate fragrance (for me) continues...
Oh no! Not chocolate greedy. That’s the only Montale I have left. Still love it but I don’t get corn 🌽 😂 so interesting. Our noses be crazy. 😝
Random info but wanted to share. I picked up Dulce by Rosie Jane at Sephora. To my nose, this is a really really close dupe for Bianco Latte. Does not have the staying power like Bianco but for the price point no surprise there. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and had thoughts. Thanks again. Have a great Sunday everyone.
Macaroons is my first Kyse perfume I got a few months ago!!! They sent me a sample, and as soon as i took a sniff, I ordered a full bottle right then and there!!😋 I wanna try them all now!!❤

When you talked about your Intense Cafe experience, it reminded me that a lot of people who had Covid and temporarily lost their sense of smell and/or taste, said when it came back, things smelled and/or tasted either different, or they just plain didn’t like it anymore.

I trust your descriptions like no other. I had seen so many people review Shaghaf Oud Tonka saying it was a straight up gourmand almond tonka bean fragrance… but you are the only one who picked up the amberwood note giving it that Middle Eastern vibe. I’m very sensitive to that. It’s beautiful but definitely not for everyone
Yes I pick up that amberwood too. It’s a note I really seem to pick up. I love it, but it’s not for everyone.
I really really like Delox, for now I'm satisfied with Rose Gourmand and others with that note profile but in the future I can definitely see purchasing that one! ❤️
I had a sample of Celeste and couldn’t stop smelling my wrist after I tried it. It was addicting!! I ordered a bottle & I love layering it with Cheirosa 59! Compliments!

Celeste is one of my favorite perfumes to wear…it does have a funny scent in the background, similar to Rosendo no. 5. But I love it 😊
Celeste is one of my all time loves 💜 I think the sea water and lime break up the sweet vanilla base and give it lightness. Easy wear for me. I’m intrigued by Zenobia. Nice diverse haul Jackie!

Yes! I miss Fresh's Strawberry Flowers terribly. I have yet to find a similar replacement.
I love Burberry her elixir, La Capitale and venom Incarnat for strawberry 🍓
The new Miss Dior Parfum has a prominent strawberry note as well.

I’m testing and loving Sphinx’s Strawberry Sugar High and love it. Sharida just did a strawberry video. Off top/ my head she likes Phlur’s Strawberry Letter and House of Sillage’s Chevoux something from the Signature collection.

I just picked up Cassiopeia from Tiziana terenzi - I was running out of my decant and saw it for a great price so picked it up. It is a great spring summer scent and one of the few from the brand I like. I also just added lust for sun as again ran out of my travel and I love this one for this time of year especially here in Florida. And last one was a full bottle of Mont Blanc signature which was another I went through my decant and needed the full bottle. So yeah none are new releases but new full bottles to my collection nonetheless.
I used to have Cafe Chantant and decluttered it. This is making me want to get it again 😍

Oh man, there are a few here that I am really interested in! But the Zenobia really has me intrigued. I didn’t love my sample of La Capital, but I will admit that at the very last of my sample, it started to come more alive for me.

I love your reviews, and I agree with all your selections except Celeste. It smelled so good in the beginning like watermelon, but in the dry down I got cotton candy gasoline. ❤❤❤

Layer Yara the pink one by lattafa with libre by YSL or Libra by lattafa. But not in top on each other but near each other. you will be shocked by how this layering is beautiful 😍😍😍

I think several people enjoy oud Tonka more. It does seem to be leaning more gourmand the more I wear it.

I bought Shaghaf Oud Tonka and love it, I have a decant of Velvet Tonka and they are close enough for me. I also bought Batikh because of Sharida and it is so much fun!!!

I was told Oud Tonka, 70% of the scent is comprised with a synthetic almond extract, so this note is very prominent. Do you agree with this? I don't love almond this much, a hard pass for me.
Congratulations on finding a Tiziana fragrance you love❣🎉🎉 , I have a decant of Delox and it's a really lovely fragrance just not sure it's my scent profile, in my opinion both Arethusa and Casiopea are safer choices from the house , Casiopea is probably the easiest. my fav is still the stunning Halley , holds the crown for most compliments in a single day ❣
I did try Cassiopeia and remember liking it. I need to get my nose on it again and refresh my memory.

LOVE Delox! in fact I love it so much that picked up its sisters: Mancera - Roses Vanille (vanilla & rose), Xerjof - Kbridge Club (caramel & rose) and Versace -Vanille Rouge. Might pick up Gentle Fluidity Gold, although when I sprayed it in Selfridges I thought it was very weak and watered down jammy rose? need to test it more :)
Wow you definitely love that scent profile. GFG is one of my favorites! It’s definitely not as loud as some of the others you mentioned but I get pretty good performance and the scent is magical to me.

I'm curious if you're still on your no sugar diet. I'm dieting now & 2 fragrances that I love by Creed have become pretty much unwearable as I'm getting an overwhelming metallic note out of both of them that I don't when I'm not dieting. That may explain why Intense cafe has soured for you
I have Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Tonka on the way so glad to hear its good. Is the Kyse Macarons as long lasting as the Marshmallow? I had purchased the Brulee and it was extremely weak, I decluttered.
So far I have zero issues with the performance. It lasted on me all night. Wore it to bed and could still smell it in the morning.

Yes I have. I liked Tonka imperial but not enough at that price point. Strong like though.

Oud tonka smells like overly sweet almond marzipan 🤢 the performance is epic tho if you like the scent.
