si feng, Did I screw this up? wow, the tear on her eye, but no falling out..I think the actress (Yuan binyan) did real good job, Xun Ji fell love with si feng at the moment.
Actually she fell for him the moment she removed her mask in the beginning but she didn't realize it. She was attracted at that moment itself by his handsome look.
That scene where Xuanji and Sifeng were so happy that she (Xuanji) could grow the Heart of Lantern but their pain and sadness that came after seeing that the flower instead withered really broke me! She doesn't know how to love, and that's probably why it really didn't really work. The Heart of Lantern didn't continue glowing... it's probably because she didn't know that she loved Sifeng this time :( But it really shows that she does. It really touches me the more times I see her defending and protecting Sifeng from the punishment he may have to get in the future because of Lize Palace. Hao Chen destroyed hers and planted the piece of mask he had which grew the heart lantern of his and grew so huge because Hao Chen loves Xuan Ji so much. That is why it withered in Si Feng's hands. It would only glow in her hands since the love was from Hao Chen to Xuan Ji.
The whole cast is pretty good overall but the male lead is very convincing. He looks like a man in love in real life, not just reading lines for a show 👍 a memorable actor

I legit was thinking the same thing after watching some heartbreaking episodes yesterday. I was telling myself.. oh well, thank God I was not born in their era and I’m not Chinese 😩.. I think those generations have more heartbreaking love story than ours.. there’s a lot of freedom in this generation.. you can choose to love and not love.. but then, I’m sure you can never.. you will even have to marry an enemy state just for peace to reign.. and then they tend to sacrifice their love for the world I can never 😂😂.. bunch of selfless people with deep rooted love story👏👏..
