Love hi five since the early early 90 "s I remember before they came up with the name hi five they called they self the playmate's then they changed it to hi five they had a good bond they came a long ways in the music industry love all they music still listen to it In 2023: from the original group rip Tony Thompson and Pooh and the new members of hi five just a big fan of all they music wish I could've meet them one day they was blessed to make it they still sound good but things ain't the same with out Tony was the voice of hi five was my favorite 90"s group growing up and Marcus is amazing at telling this story he always been good at telling they stories Marcus and the new hi five y'all keep making good music ❤❤
I met you guys in Hampton Beach in July or August 1991 at an arcade on the beach. I think there were 5 or 6 of you and you played the Hampton casino. We played video games and you signed a shirt for me and we went out to grab a bite to eat on the boardwalk. I was 15, my friend with me was 15 as well and we called ourselves Summer and Mercedes (15yrs olds are weird lol) and my 3.5yr older brother was with me cuz he liked hanging out with me cuz my friends were cute lol
This dude is good and has a good format for the interview arena ( in my opinion I think you are better than VLAD)....shout out to my mans-n-nem and I hated to hear what happen to your bros... but sh?t happens in this life 😕😕
I think I know what he meant when he said when Tony wanted to bring the group back, Tony wanted more control. Maybe Tony would yield more profit this time, because it was evident without Tony Hi 5 had no star power. In all honesty from the beginning it really should have been Tony Thompson & Hi 5. Tony did lead, 2nd lead, 3rd lead, hooks, chorus. Jive just took advantage of his lack of knowing, youth and not understanding the politics. I like Marcus's honesty, he genuinely loved/loves Tony and I believe was most impacted by his death of the group members, besides Toriano, who Treston replaced. Treston left a bad taste in Tony's mouth, it was obvious he developed a jealousy of Tony and probably made touring w/ him challenging for Tony, thus why Tony really didn't want to work with him again and probably tried to navigate around Treston. Can't blame him. Marcus also seemed to be the most level headed of the group, whereas Tony was the youngest & was most impressionable unfortunately. Whatever Tony experienced at such a young age stayed w/ him and he couldn't shake. That industry is just a melting pot of mishaps & mayhem.

Man, I wish “Merry Go Round” was released as a single I’m sure it would’ve been huge. That entire first album was a perfect body of work.
I am a fan of Hi Five
