His playing was nothing spectacular and didn't really show the full range of the guitar. If he DID show everything it's got, it is a pretty limited instrument for rip-off money.
Well there are some completely ridiculous comments on this. “Silly prices” - you seen Gibson Custom shop pricing - Hubers are infinitely better in fit form and capabilities - the guy who said it’s limited knows nothing.
P90 in the neck and a humbucking bridge may be one of guitars best kept secrets... I now chase down guitars with this pickup configuration almost exclusively. If I had the money today I'd be pulling the trigger on this one. Tasty playing as always!
Rock roll relics had a guitar like this but Gibson sued and they can’t make this, the Les Paul or the SG. Yet not suing other companies. Weird. I think because rnrrelic were selling quite a lot.
Fabulous playing as ever from the virtuoso Mr Barrett. Lovely. This looks and sounds great, but 3-4 grand is a lot of money. Nice one Richard and team! 🎶⭐👍
Never sure what to make of these type of posts... sorry... its a bit like wanting a Ferrari but buying a Nissan... Be thankful you don't play a Cello in an orchestra where would be needing a mortgage for your one and only instrument...
Slubre, drible, sweating, where to get allthe money for this?Dut my Yamaha Revstar 502, does a good job, being in family, with this more handsome guitar. So nice.
The Gibson anti-copy push strikes again. Fortunately, Nik Huber already had his own established shape to fall back on, and it looks nice in the Krautster format. I had a KII and it was a versatile (and quite light) guitar. I don’t think they are better or worse than a Gibson - it’s a personal choice thing - but I have to say that Huber and Eggle have the most beautiful and functional solutions to accessing the dusty end of the neck.
Er. no. Guitarists seem to want hand made perfection at factory mass manufactured prices. Retailer and taxes in 50%of retail price, meaning this is built for about £1.5k for which is not giving NH a huge margin - they are not millionaires.
I’m currently having a guitar built for me buy a Luthier in the Netherlands called Nick Oswald he makes great quality guitar that I’d even say are better than custom shops and he charges £2k, so these guys charging £4k at least is a joke
Its in a different league. Its a boutique company mostly hand built in Germany from the finest materials - They don't make many, but its the kind of guitar that once owned you never want to let go...
Once again the naturally gifted Richard and his effortless playing show the best of any guitar.

@@TheRealJanKafka you either don't play guitar or you're 14 and into death metal.

@davidbarlow3825 Gobsoms retain their value, These guitars of the week are like used cars
Gorgeous. And richard does it more than justice as usual. That middle position tone is spectacular.
Thanks for the awesome demo guys, great stuff as always!
Very useful review and nice playing, thanks !
Love the Krauster II & own a few. I didn’t know a new one released 🤘
Could you post the tab for that play out ... that truly rocks.
Please, ooh please, please ... please
Thanks ever so much!!!
Nice, I like the new shape. 👌

that lightning bolt bridge looks nice bruh
Lovely guitar, cool color. I have a PJE Macon Special, also lovely and suspiciously similar to a Krautster... wonder what came first?
Krautster came first.

Great review, beautiful guitar and amazing craftsmanship!
Is it by any chance chambered?
Awesome
Beautiful guitar. The pickups are just backwards. I'd want the P90 in bridge and the humbucker in the neck. Then it would be perfect.
Other than looks, you have to ask yourself what are you getting with this over a PRS S2 Vela at half the price
I personally like the old krauster body shape more which resembles the Gibson special. But still a great axe.
Ooh, that would be something with a bigsby.
Currently $5000 US. Is there a Made-in-Asia version at around $700? Something a normal person might be able to afford...
PRS SE Chris Robertson
Closest thing I've played to my Krautster is probably a Gretsch Jet with a PAF instead of a Filtertron.

The Krautster used to be Hubers high-end (almost) affordable model. Pricing now is too high.

Cute scratch plate.
...and did the redesign work or no?
That is a very very lot of money!
These prices are an "on your face rip-off"

Price is too high, my Gretsch Electromatic is the bomb for $700 bucks Aussie second hand …

No thanks. Silly prices
I would sell my es 335P90 for that one…🫠
