- I traveled to a remote stream by boat to catch these tasty salmon then had a cook-out on a nearby island. Life doesn't get any better! If you know the locations please don't mention them in the comments or they will be deleted by me. Thank you. Please like, subscribe and comment!
Great vacation! I thought of Hemingway describing a trout fishing. And then nature and a Jack London- style lunch.
Harsh northern beauty!
👍👍👍
Yes! Wilderness fishing is poetry!
@@neilmoomey I agree!

Hello from Belarus!
Hello from Russia! 👍👍👍
Hello from Russia/Siberia!
I've always dreamed of visiting Alaska. You have great content. I see that Alaska is somewhat similar to Siberia.
Come visit! Alaska is close to Siberia so probably similar. Do you have sockeye salmon? Their flesh is red.
@@CampfireKodiak Sockeye salmon is a sea fish, and I live inland on the Yenisei River. We have grayling, sturgeon, pike in the river ...
Great shore lunch ! Ain't nothin better than a nap when you are done . Question; did you make that socket handle or buy it for the Lodge cast iron skillet ?
I went to the hardware store and found a stainless steel window squeegee, cut the socket off. Then I cut the pan handle short, ground it down a little and drilled two holes for the bolts.
I'm surprised the Brown bears didn't have a barbeque
Yes, well they would have had to swim a couple of miles to get to this island so maybe that slowed them down.
Hello from Ukraine. Someone fishman frome Russia ask me to write comment)))
Neil u were talking about your food tasting great, anytime u cook outdoors over a fire it will taste better than the same food cooked indoors in my opinion
I think you are right Cowboy! The smoke adds flavor plus you are usually hungry
@@CampfireKodiak if u come back to shuyak I may know someone who would hike with u and learn if u want to mentor
