I just came across a 1990 Pariah postcard. Hand written by the band asking a fan to write their studio. What work to print posstcards and handwrite letters to individual fans. The work paid off. The wikipedia rabbit hole lead me here. I enjoy the tunes! That 1990 postcard just got you another fan 35 years later.

I'll never forget the early 90's trying to tell one of the many European students visiting the US what American culture really is (not some -American BS>. The Meat Puppets were both an unusual phenomenon and an 80's stand-out that illustrated this perfectly. Too bad history mostly missed this amazing event.
Wikipedia - Up on the Sun is the third album by the Meat Puppets, released in 1985 by SST Records. The album features a cleaner and more technical sound with a more psychedelic rock feel, in contrast to the sloppy punk approach of their first album (1982), while continuing with the mystical, poetic lyrics and country-inflected songwriting of Meat Puppets II (1984).
More Wikipedia - Musically, Up on the Sun departed slightly from the country-influenced sound of its immediate predecessor, being more based in what Mark Deming described as "sunburned psychedelia".[2] Jon Dolan called the record an "insanely idyllic" work of "post-punk pastoralism".[1]
