Pretty good videos there TrailNewbie. I've been all around Panamint/Death Valley and such, but your videos have motivated me to go back as soon as the weather cools a bit. There's still so many mines in those areas I haven't checked out yet. Your videos are high quality, thanks!

Very nice video. It makes those who have not experienced it get out and do it. Great job! Do you happen to have the gpx file for your trip that you can share?
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words and comment! I'm pretty sure we were actually there in the late winter of 2021. Like early or mid February. I think the best time to get out to Trona is late Feb to early March. April can get really hot, etc. if you hit the timing wrong - and it pretty much stays hot with daytime highs in the 90's - 100's through October. Another good option would be to go early December. Regarding the road up to Piute (it was a really dry year, we got lucky). That road could be snowed in very easily in February. Thanks again for the comment! I really appreciate it! 😀
Wow, nicely done video. I just found you here on UA-cam, I can't believe that you only have 302 subscribers. I know the Pinnacles well, I used to inspect the RR tracks out there to Trona. It is on my bucket list to return with our RV and Jeep to explore. Have you ever done the "Barney Riley trail", between Monitor Pass and the 395? It has two river crossings and a natural hot spring on the trail, it would make a good video. Keep these great videos coming, and travel safe.
