I grew a potato this year and it was so interesting for the class. I just put craft sticks in the sides of the potato and placed in a plastic container with water half way up the potato. We started this in January and by May the green stems were taller than most of the students! The roots were abundant and the students could really witness the growth of each part of a potato plant.
Interesting how other set up their science centres! We just finished maple syrup themed one , followed by life cycle if a chicken! So much fun!
Love the idea of science centers. SO many possibilities! 🐥🌺🌿
Thank you. This is helpful.
Where can I find the book banner you have?
You mean the banner in the background of the video? I made it using book jackets from hardcover books.
Does each child have their own recording journal? If so, where are they stored?
In a basket. They just small paper booklets so they don't take up much space.
Do I see a Mrs. Wishy Washy doll behind you?? I would love to know how to obtain it. Thank you!
Yes! I got it from Joy Cowley's publisher Hameray a few years ago, www.hameraypublishing.com/collections/mrs-wishy-washy
Have you ever grown an advocado?
No, that's a new one to me. Have you done it?
@@PreKPagesvideos No, not with success! But I saw it in a science experiment book . I would like to try it again though.

I think I'll try that one this coming year.🥔
