The issue here is that people are mixing their dislike for his character with how he has performed as a player. These are two separate things. For example, Tom Brady choosing football over his family might seem selfish to some, but that’s his personal life, and it doesn’t change his impact on the game. We need to set aside our personal feelings the media portrays and opinions about how people we’ve never met live their lives. This is about football. Aaron Rodgers’ performance as a quarterback is historic. Last year, he suffered his first-ever season-ending injury in an otherwise legendary career on a completely different team with no true leadership. Like Derrick Rose or Paul George in basketball, major injuries like that can change a player mentally and physically. But these new sensitive nfl rules and a better oline he will be fine.

As a bears fan I don’t know much about the jets situation, but bringing him back for a year while getting a new qb and letting him sit for a year, that’s what worked for the packers. Why not do the same?
Rodgers put up better numbers than Mahomes this year, one team is the number one seed, the other has the 7th draft pick. I’m a die hard Packers fan but became a legitimate Jets fan last season. Watched all of Hardknocks, one jets drive, and every game even without Rodgers playing. It’s night and day how the Packers franchise operates vs how the Jets are run. Rodgers legacy as a player is greater than the entire Jets organization. He took a huge risk going there and he put his entire heart and soul into recovering for that injury and trying to get them back into the playoffs. You can say whatever you want about rodgers, but for him to get so irrationally turned on by so many fans and the owner and to still show love and gratitude to the Jets shows an immense amount of character. He’s the GOAT.
Jets fans ran Geno out, then Fitzpatrick, then Darnold, then Wilson, and now Rodgers. Between ownership and the fanbase, the future looks anything but optimistic
Gotta love how the Jets are acting to good for Aaron Rodgers. Favre sucked on the Jets then had an mvp type season with the Vikings. Jets fans should just face it no qb will play well for them. They're not built to have a successful qb. Them and the Browns.
Rodgers has said hes willing to take a pay cut. Jets lost games because of the defense and the kicker. Defense gave up the most leads in the final 3 minutes than any team in football. 5 games specifically Kicker at the start of the season cost them 4 games. Mike williams cost them 2. If anyone fan see this season and think rodgers was the problem with rhe jets doesnt understand football
I love the guy, he’s got unbridled passion, and fortitude that only some greats have. It’s surely been a rough ride for this guy the last 2 years, after succumbing to that devastating injury, on that Historical 9/11 night in NJ/NY. ❗️ The Jets expectations this year were unfounded and unrealistic, after that season ending injury last year! But he worked his butt off, like a wounded warrior, and gave it his all! Too bad Woody apparently doesn’t get it, and will probably just write off the $60+ Million cause it didn’t go his way on his timeline! I got a real kick today, how he discretely came out for the Postgame Dressed in Black😅! Something tells me he’s not done, I know it’s a longshot, but he could be the missing piece to the 49’ers puzzle for 1 last Superbowl Run. A Hollywood ending eh?? THANKS SO MUCH for bringing back the excitement and drama to NY Jets football, even if it seemingly wasn’t in the cards. *Now it may be another 3-4 years, breaking in a QB, hoping for the next Miracle Run. Been a Loonng Time Coming. *And Thank you to Joe Willie Namath for our 1 moment of Greatness.🏈🏆1969.
I fear it will take another Miracle, of Woody showing some humanity, and going against his Ego for 1 more shot…. and get your moneys worth. *I thought he was All In ?
I think the Jets should do the following three things in order...1-Sit down with Rodgers and see if he is going to play next year and if so is if for the Jets 2-If he retires or goes to a different team they should sign Matt Ryan 3-Draft Cam Ward and have him learn under Ryan until he is ready to lead the Jets himself
It was great to see Rodgers get his 500+ TD milestone. He is one of the greatest to ever do it - but it would be a mistake to bring him back. When you hold on to players for sentimental value it never ends well - especially the NFL. The reality is the JETS have 2 elite skilled players at their position (Hall and Wilson) who they should be building the offense around - but are being starved of touches because Rodgers is always locked in on his guy - Adams.
IDGAF what ANYONE says if Aaron Rodger’s brought anything to the NY Jets organization it was HOPE. Hoping for better days as a Jets fan, happy a lot of things came to light & hoping Rodger’s returns next season to the Jets.

5 games specifically
Kicker at the start of the season cost them 4 games.
The Jets expectations this year were unfounded and unrealistic, after that season ending injury last year!
I think 1 more round with Adam's all season next year.
Sign matt ryan or any free agents for what, for you to bash them WHEN THEY ARE DOG SHIT
Well stated
Living legend
After this performance, you just know he wants to play one more year
It was great to see Rodgers get his 500+ TD milestone.
Aaron Rodgers look good,I was wondering what had happened to him, because his a great quarterback
I put my heart in this why does everyone think there the hardest
Can’t believe he finally announced it. Thank u for your career Aaron 🥲
Play ONE more year Aaron….with the Raiders!!! They need a QB and I’m sure Tom
Brady would love to have you Join the team 👍🏼
IDGAF what ANYONE says if Aaron Rodger’s brought anything to the NY Jets organization it was HOPE. Hoping for better days as a Jets fan, happy a lot of things came to light & hoping Rodger’s returns next season to the Jets.
My goat man
