DIY Colored Ends Using Chalk! Hair Chalking :)

- I got the chalk i used on my hair from Michaels Crafts Store for $5.99 :) I used the Artist's Lofts Fundamentals Soft Pastels! (This is different than normal chalk or oil pastels)
D I R E C T I O N S:
Wet small section of hair
Rub with wax pastel to get desired amount of color
Let dry
Set color with heat tool
This lasted me one day! I washed my hair and it came out the next day :)
Song is an instrumental version of Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5!

I wouldnt rub the "chalk" up and down , id just do multiple downward motions so my hair doesnt get damaged or frizzy :) just a tip!
It also creat plot ends using an up and down motion
I just did this for my 4,3 and 1 year old! (he's really a year and half) And they LOVE it!! I'm so excited to do this for them for holidays and just for fun!! Thank you so much for the video!

I did this today, and I got sooo many compliments. Tip: use darker or more vibrant colors since it tends to lighten throughout the day.
I love it. As for people not listening, hair chalk comes out even after the first wash. Conditioning the ends of your hair(if you have long hair) should be a daily ritual anyway! Chalk does transfer to your pillow if you go to bed with it in your hair, or you wear a hooodie all day....but if you are wearing a hoodie, why bother with the chalk anyway! Lot less damaging then semi-permanent dyes. Goiod alternative in my opinion ;)
Do you think this will show up as well on dark hair? I have very dark- close to brown hair and Im afraid it really won't do anything!

Is it possible to heat set it with a hair dryer? And can you brush it out once it's dry so there is no chunkiness from the pastels?

What color would you recommend using in darker hair? My hair is like a dark brown, so I was just wondering on what color you think might show up best. Blue, pink, green?
i have that same chalk and dark brown hair and if you get the chalk end really wet almost like a paste is goes on much brighter and stays longer!

I tried this out today, but the store I went to didnt have chalk pastel or whatever its called so i bought oil pastels. I barely had to wet my hair and it turned out really nice! It is now a light pink haha your favorite color :D

please reply :P can i use a blow dryer as a heat source? could i put it on hot or warm, then on the low setting? could i also use regular chalk because i will have to go to ac moore in a week but im impatient.. lol!
