Purple flowered plant is Perovskia aka Russian Sage I believe. It’s a great plant for the back of a border. It seems a little lost in the bed you just weeded but that might be due to camera angles. It might enjoy some support next year about 30 cm from the bottom. Was the background noise traffic or the sea? Fab job as ever Mark. Glad you were able to rescue that palm. ❤
Ha. I'm in Southern California and we'd call that Mexican sage, but I see the commenters calling it Russian sage. I'd consider those agapanthus weeds, once they go to seed you'd have them everywhere here, and that fan palm is definitely something we'd not want to encourage. They grow really fast, they're really messy, and that root ball would would start to raise the patio in about five years. Hopefully you'll have none of those issues with it.
Hola Mark¡!
Nice tidy up. Was going to ask about that silvery plant with lilac/blue flowers. Figured it was some sort of Salvia, so happy that some commenters knew what it was. Noticed some Agapanthus in there. As a joke, my family always called them "Aggies Panties" - as kids, we thought that was hilariously naughty!
Thank you, so glad the old olive is still thriving. The flower beds look so much better now. Funny how it goes, I was hoping you would tell us the name of that delicate flower. Someone knew the name. Thank-you to them. Hope I can find some
Hi again just watched your other video I’m catching up from my holiday lol I’d love to have your help on some of my borders 😂 you do a fantastic job mark Another great video mate
I know that isn’t the roar of the ocean so it must be a freeway or major road. I can’t imagine having an estate that close to the road. You certainly can’t relax outside with that noise as a background.
👏👏👏 Good morning, another brilliant job. Talking about olive trees, can i give a little shave to mine? Is still a young tree and have right now some have fruits, or should i wait till next spring? At the moment doesn't look with round shape Thank you🙏🙏🙏
Just wondering if you are able to get the root on the weeds when you hand pull them out? I always use a hand trowel and it seems I have better success with weeds not growing back as fast.
The best time is in the spring once it has flowered. Obviously if it’s cut too late in the season you end up removing the growth that will flower. However if you are not worried about the flowers for a year you can almost cut it when you like! Hope that helps 😊
Nice job
Thanks!😊

I think you are the king when it comes to border weeding and tidying.
Have a good weekend mate👍
The Waggy(palm) would probably benefit from some liquid seaweed and lots of water. Great tidying up
Thanks😊👍

Salvia 'Blue Spires' used to be Perovskia

How and when would I cut back my lilac? It is about 24 inches high and a wee bit woody.

@@mdgardenservices7819 Ty for your reply
That’s Russian Sage.
😊👍
They do have a lovely garden, but the traffic noise is rather too audible. Pity for those who live or stay there.
You get used to it
I grew up living next to a busy road 😄
