Dubois still hasn't proven himself. He beat out of shape, ring rusted Miller at 300+ lbs. And Hergovic by Dr's stoppage from cuts that honestly weren't from punches. They were from head button. Hergovic was punching his head off in that fight. Straight right over and over. Dubois has no defense, and no head movement. He lost to Usyk by knockout from a jab? The only way he wins this fight is by a lucky haymaker punch in the first 5 rounds. Also, the Miller that fought Dubois is not the same Miller that fought Ruiz. Not even close.
I agree, literary 1 fight now can turn a zero into a hero, all the pundits like Spencer Brown don't help...... Fact is neither of them have really proved anything with their last few fights .. Dubois has showed improvements but to say hes got heart now just cause he beat a Christmas pudding and an operated hergovic is ridiculous..... Same for AJ.. He's had no real test since ysyk, blows out a cage fighter and hes "back".... Only few fights ago he was cagey against helenius, now he's flavour of the month again.... Boxing has become more fickle as society had.... This fight will reveal a lot

But wasn’t as if he outclassed and dominated them. Miller & hrgovic are around DDD Level and could beat him on another day. Dubois is a very dirty fighter too loves low blows and headbuts. He is a likeable guy but AJ beats him like he did dillian Whyte

DDD does not deserve to be considered a champion in any fashion bcoz the real champ Usyk is still active in that same division... So DDD as a champ is a joke. They MUST fight winner of Usyk v Fury to legitimise they belt!!!
I think usyk gave DDD the belt, just to prevent fury becoming undisputed in the rematch

If/when AJ beats DDD and if/when Usyk beats Fury, he'll be able to afford AJ at least one shot a undisputed... which lets face it, had it not been for AJ and Usyk we'd NEVER EVER have got undisputed EVER, because they were the guys with the ambition, skill and resources to start unifying all the belts and ultimately see it over the line. AJ got robbed of his opportunities bcoz of his allegiance with Eddie Hearn who the other promoters will never let him host a male undisputed fight so long as they can prevent it... Anyone who disagrees with any of this, is just not paying attention.

When was the last time Joshua was hit. He was staggered by povetkin and pulev. If Dubois gets on the inside and AJ leaves himself open when he throws it could be Ruiz all over again. Altho Dubois lack of head movement is alarming
AJ learnt a lot from that loss.. Dubois lack of head movement is a huge problem, not sure hes going to be able correct that in time.
Also ddd fights elbows out… wrong for defensive duties… he’s far more open than AJ that’s for sure.. AJ will put him down with a counter.. and ddds up n down level changes will also leave him open to an accurate power puncher

I think AJ is looking really good, he is so balanced throwing his shots now and setting traps properly now. His pull counter is looking beautiful. I dare to say AJ is now committing and the biggest puncher at HW, Wilder levels of power.
He’s definitely up there as one of the top punchers for sure!

Think not on a technical level, but Ottos not the biggest of punchers at Heavyweight.. Miller is huge, strong and tough as they come. No world beater, but hard nights work!

It's really unfair to call Dubois a paper champ, because the belt was actually meant to become vacant just in time for the fight with Hergovic for them both to fight for. It's not his fault that there was bureaucracy which delayed him being crowned champ. he beat Hergovic, whom was the mandatory challenger. Usyk couldn't make the fight due to logistics with the Fury fight, so fair play to Daniel.

Going off recent fight Dubois has been popping for his fights in saudi. His stamina and punch output prior to the Saudi fights speaks volumes. His delay to sign up to vada says a lot also

I never rated Hrgovic in the first place, if he fought AJ it would have been lights out in 5 rounds! Nobody really knows how good Miller is really as it’s difficult to judge from his style and the opponents he’s fought, but most likely AJ would have flattened him. I think the fight Dubios did well in was the UYSK fight, just because he quite from a jab people forgot how well he boxed in that fight, he was quick, agile and very patient, if he comes out like this with AJ it could be a difficult fight. It’s going to be a good fight 100%.

I like Dubuois but AJ just too powerful confident and experienced. Dubuois is acting out of his natural deminour! Not really who he is, being a quiet champion is not a bad thing! Letting your hands do the talking speaks volumes!

I’m not sold on AJ being back, 3 back to back struggling to pull the trigger edgy fights then a KO vs an MMA fighter, I’d like to see him fully back, he wins and as long as Fury it’s a good show on vs Usyk we will get them two next year, but I don’t believe it

IMHO, Dubois would need an "Andy Ruiz" type of scenario to have a shot. What makes that more difficult is that AJ has gotten far more experienced and composed since then. Looking forward to a good fight and I see AJ with a mid to late rd KO or beat down Daniel convincingly for a UD.

I think this foght will andwer a lot of questions for both men. For joshua it will prove if he is in the elite mix and if he still wants it. Realistically hes got all the tools to dismantle a fighter like Dubois but that jab and the youthful aggresion could be a huge problem especially if Dubois pushes the tempo early. For Daniel it woukd be a s great win and prove that the losses to joyce and usyk were just speed bumps on the way to his prime. Joshuas pull counter will land in this fight reliably unless Daniel can integrate some head movement. In my opinion if Daniel pushes the fight early there is potential for a Dubois stoppage but if hes cagey or if he tries and fails to hurt Aj early its only going to end with a Joshua stoppage mid to late.

I think Dubois had most chance of beating AJ before AJ joined Davidson and before Daniel Dubois proved himself against Miller and Hrgovic. AJ will take Dubois extremely seriously now because we all can see that Dubois is hard nights work for most heavyweights. AJ via stoppage round 6

I think Hrgovic is overrated but he's a damn sight better than any of AJ's last 4 opponents. Dubois has a better chin than AJ, punches nearly as hard and has an excellent jab. AJ hasn't been in with a big puncher for a long time and if Dubois starts landing early it could be a very long (or short) night.
Yes, wait for the promise of Turki, but no, don't wait for fury. He's been a cancer in the division by messing fighters around and wasting the fans time and boxers careers. Joey Knight knows less than my mum about boxing , still laughing from his utter nonsense during the Fury v Usyk watch along . Dubois has a punchers chance and that’s it , all his best attributes are just a few levels below Joshua’s and the more aggressive he is then the easier it will be for Joshua to land . Miller was awful and Hrgovic was cut 2 weeks before the fight and should have pulled out of the fight and I think that’s why he tried to get Dubois out early but obviously it didn’t work
Undisputed can still happen if Joshua wins and fury smashes usyk. I doubt fury beating usyk but anything can happen in heavyweight boxing.

But realistically the heavyweight landscape has changed so much. So this is where Dubois comes into the picture. He is definitely working on defence and moulding himself into a great fighter. I seen clips of DDD in previous fights, the amount he had changed is phenomenal. Only thing is the defence that needs to be more tighter or more consistent then it would be a good fight.
Dubois will get his ass whooped, all this hyping against AJ, he will learn one thing, experience and levels. 😊

Question - How much better is Hergovic and Miller than Wallin? I would suggest there's nothing in it and a fight between Wallin and any of Daniel's recent opponents would be close to 50/50. Joshua is as good or better in every aspect of boxing. I agree - 80/20 to joshua - Dubios has a punchers chance.
Good question.. I think Hrgovic is better than Wallin, not sure about Miller. But Miller when hes fit is a hards nights work for guys at that level.
