- We welcome on Steve Belichick, the new defensive coordinator for the Washington Huskies. He talks about moving on from New England and the NFL to the college ranks, having to recruit and figure out NIL vs NLI, his new office view, coaching college kids vs NFL players and the Huskies' 2024 season. Chris and Steve are able to reminisce about their New England days and Macon, Kyle and Nate want to sign their NLI to Washington immediately.

100% they have the same voice. Under 5 years this dude will either win a championship go back to nfl and be a top d coordinator or head coach.
As a Washington Alumni, this fired me up for next season.

Pats Defense last year was nasty. If the offense averaged 17 pts they would have made the playoffs lol
it was so frustrating.
That’s how sad n how really bad that offence is even rhamondre regressed.
I remember talking to a football fan about this because he kept saying, 'Patriots suck, Bill is over the hill...' Meanwhile, I pointed out how the team allowed just 46 points in four games and went 0-4 during that span. I think too many were hoping for the demise and ignored the obvious facts.
Absolutely. Plus they lost their two best players early on.
Steve seems amazingly humble and open to learning.

It's telling that Steve is the coach of a legend but his reputation amongst his peers, former players is nothing but positive. That's the sign of a man who put the work in, never said, 'do you know who my Dad is!'

Great point, he is the only coach from the belichick tree. That will not try to be bill, a son who wants to be his own. It who will have all the knowledge from his father, but make it his own.

Excited to see defense played at the UW again. The last 4 years have been horrible.
Would you rather have a good defense and lose 2-3 games or have a mediocre defense and go 14-1

@@smarroy last year's defense was statistically not very good, but they were good when they needed to be. History has shown time and time again that offense can win games, but defense wins championships. The Huskies need to go back to having a consistently good defense.
@@udubdave I wasn’t scoffing at the idea that we need a good defense, I just got tired this year of seeing people on Twitter/Reddit/message boards acting like we should fire Inge and Morrill mid season or something, because I agree with you that even if the numbers weren’t great they performed when they needed to
