If I may, been there, and would like to recommend the treatment that worked, look up Hardy Nutritionals, call them, they'll help with the taking of these supplements to get you to the emotionally normal ups and downs, took me about 2+ years adding a supplement every 6 months or so, would recommend you work with your doctor to wean off medications as you get your body and brain nourished. Could take only a few months if you take the 3-4 supplements together right from the start. Please read and watch the testimonials of those helped. They are still with us, and thank goodness for that, but if you look 👀 at programmes like Britain’s/Americas got talent, the voice etc you will find that there are some artists, solo or groups, like Collabro, Susan Boyle, Callum Scott to name a few, who sing from the heart and soul new and emotive songs, and some older works given a new twist but without loosing the meaning, music is the food of life and as I get old(er) I love hearing those songs and artists that I grew up with and that bring back memories, good and bad, Neil Diamond has to be in my top 10 singers, but all my top ten are number one, I don’t want to decide. 😀👍🇬🇧🏴🇺🇸🇺🇦
I think the world has gone through a lot over the past few years, i find happiness and tranquillity listening to music such as this, and no one more so than Neil Diamond, i suddenly find myself at peace with the world
I'm Listening in 2024. All the way from South Africa. Neil Diamond was my Rollmodel from childhood. Dad was an Alcohlic but Neil Diamond's Music was always around guiding me in the Right direction. I Salute You Sir Neil Diamond ❤
So many great songs bring us down memory lane, our youth, our lazy Sunday doing nothing, our puppy days…our sad days, our friends who left us earlier and love one who grow old. Our everything which don’t belongs to us. Memories are most precious NOT money.
I think they move me to the front. I wasn't well and I think some guy named anthony had to out do me on my job. I dont know what all goes on under my cabin. Few pups left .no bad smells. Oh, I am o.k. now. Take me off block and I wont have to contact u on neil diamond song. I saw it. I knew. Powwow did it. That might b too personal.
This song has always resonated with me , for many reasons . There are times in life when you have many people around you , but still feel alone . Because of certain life events the emptiness doesn't escape you . It's always there in the background, haunting you . Definitely a song that sticks in your dark recesses. Thank you , Mr.Neil Diamond , for creating yet another masterpiece.
I share these sentiments. Neil Diamond was a once in a life singer/song writer. The joy he gave me has been magical. Diamond is a legend with few peers. I was so crushed to hear that he is not well.
HI PETER NICHOLSON, I appreciate reminding me of Neil's " crunchy granola suite ", here's another one for everyone " walk on water ". I just adore these lil recordings !!!!!!!
It's my dad's birthday the 8th of January and I'll always remember the amount of times we sat and listened to Neil diamond, especially this song and crackling Rosie. I named my daughter after that song. Anywho happy birthday Dad I love you ❤️
I have seen 28 Neil Diamond concerts. Now before you call me crazy or stupid I will say the time period was from the middle 1970s to my last concert in Milwaukee in 2012. At a concert in Milwukee, I would say around 2008, my wife and I were sitting quietly waiting for the concert to start. About 10 minutes before the first song (Holly Holy) I got to talking to the woman next to me. I asked her if she had ever been to a Neil Diamond concert. She said no. When I told her I had been to - at that time it was about 24 concerts - she actually said "Oh, that's sick." I said nothing. After Holly Holy I turned to her and said "Do you still think I'm sick?" With the biggest smile I have ever seen on another person's face she said as enthusiastically as possible "Oh no!' Enough said.
@@grazzer Wow, two favorite songs. That is tough. I would say I Am I Said, and Sweet Caroline. My grandsons are ND fans as well and in 2012 I was able to hug my 7-year-old and sing Sweet Caroline at a concert at Summerfest in Milwaukee. We were both hoarse the following morning. I am not familiar with the phrase EP fan. What are your 2 favorite songs? Thanks for the reply.
@@larryhamsing4140 It’s interesting that you have been to so many NeilD concerts. Amazing number (although I have been to 21 Monte Carlo Grand Prix motor racing events over the years; my great-grandfather was world motorcycle dirt track speedway champion in the 20s). I went to one NeilD concert in 1989 in London (I took my grandmother) and then in late 2014 in London again with my elderly parents. Definitely ‘I Am A Said’ is my favourite My second would be Last Thing On MY Mind (although I know it was written by Tom Paxton or Neil Sedaka, I can never remember which one). That song is to be played at my funeral. I was born in 1968 in UK (now a tax lawyer in London, England) . I remember in 1974 at the age of 6, being in my Dad’s car with him listening to NeilD on his 8-track tape system (it was a yellow Ford Cortina) on the way to the coast for a 2 week holiday in a rented beach house. My parents loved it so much that they bought that house. I now go there to the same family beach house with my own 6 year old son in a 1964 Jaguar E Type with the same NeilD songs playing off the CD. I am also extremely fond of Porcupine Pie (gloves on or your hands turning green !). When I said EP, I meant Elvis Presley. It was really just a question out of interest as to whether you were an Elvis fan in the early 70s. I am an Elvis fan too, but NeilD remains my favourite artists who is still alive. Funnily enough my 2 favourite EP performances are Polk Salad Annie and American Trilogy. Has NeilD ever sung American Trilogy in live concert ? I’m a ND fan, not an expert. I never understood why Neil allowed the Monkees to commercialize ‘I’m A Believer’ once Neil wrote it. The Monkees version was released first in the UK although Neil’s studio version was recorded first I believe. One thing I love about ND is that he got to be worth 400 million dollars and then split up with wife Marcia and gave her 200 million of it. They stayed friends. Neil then took less than 12 years to be have net worth of 400 million once again. Nice to exchange replies with you over a common music interest.
I think this song is the most gripping by this artist. The combination of text and melody makes me think and brings tears to my eyes again and again. It is one of many of his world hits. Best wishes, Neil Diamond, from Germany!
Me too. Hot August Night was the first album of Neil's I heard, back in the early 70's. Grey cover 12 greatest hits was the first LP i ever bought. When I was depressed and with no direction, my father gave me Jonathon Livingstone Seagull. Neil Diamond is fantastic.
He wrote songs for a bunch of people. the monkees was one band i can remember. he put out an album of stuff he wrote, you wouldn't believe some of the songs he's written and for who.
Edward Anthony I followed Neil Diamond from before I was even in high school. He probably holds the record for number of albums produced, and he is still producing them. He was inducted into the JFK Center for artist, writers etc. Quite an honor. I will always be a fan. Patti
This song reminds me when I was 15 years old, that I found out my mom had a affair on my father I lived with. That's how I was born, and it came out one day when I had a argument with my dad, that I thought was my dad. My dad told me, when he was drunk. My half bothers knew all along, and called me bastard, and and beat me so many times sensely. Once I found out, I was in shock, I stayed in school another year, skipped a graduate from school, and I ran away for two years. The lyrics to this song, remind me of back then. I forgave what was done to me. My two half brothers are both dead now, also my mom. I forgave, but never forgot it. I went on to love, trust people, all my life. I have a kind heart, honest person, but this song reminds me.

L.A.'s fine, the sun shines most the time And the feeling is "lay back" Palm trees grow and rents are low But you know I keep thinkin' about Making my way back Well I'm New York City born and raised But nowadays I'm lost between two shores L.A.'s fine, but it ain't home New York's home But it ain't mine no more "I am"... I said To no one there And no one heard at all Not even the chair "I am"... I cried "I am"... said I And I am lost and I can't Even say why Leavin' me lonely still Did you ever read about a frog Who dreamed of bein' a king And then became one Well except for the names And a few other changes If you talk about me The story is the same one But I got an emptiness deep inside And I've tried But it won't let me go And I'm not a man who likes to swear But I never cared For the sound of being alone "I am"... I said To no one there And no one heard at all Not even the chair "I am"... I cried "I am"... said I And I am lost and I can't Even say why "I am"... I said "I am"... I cried "I am"

Don't we all cry "I am I said" through out our lives to some extent or another? I had been working several years after graduating from college and this song became my personal and private anthem. I prayed for "peaceful days before my youth had gone". Then on to raising a family while arriving home exhausted by my career duties. I was "the man in between". My youth has gone and I have found peaceful days....but Neil has always soothed me with his songs that address being torn by the quandaries of life. There is no singer/song writer in that has more closely connected with my soul than ND.

Took me many years to finally admit my problem was chronic, and to believe that something could make a difference. And it did.
My Mom wasn't so fortunate, won't elaborate.

Childhood memories....Where have all these great artists gone! With times like these we could sure use some real good music!

When I told her I had been to - at that time it was about 24 concerts - she actually said "Oh, that's sick."
I said nothing. After Holly Holy I turned to her and said "Do you still think I'm sick?" With the biggest smile I have ever seen on another person's face she said as enthusiastically as possible "Oh no!'
Enough said.
Lovely story. I envy you. I grew up with the man's music but sadly never got to see him in concert.
@@Orion3741 It was an experience every single time.
Larry, what are your 2 favourite ND songs ? Secondly, in early 70s were you a EP fan ?
From a frog to a King.......Neil Diamond will always be a King.
I think this song is the most gripping by this artist. The combination of text and melody makes me think and brings tears to my eyes again and again. It is one of many of his world hits.

And the feeling is "lay back"

But you know I keep thinkin' about
Making my way back
Well I'm New York City born and raised
But nowadays
I'm lost between two shores
L.A.'s fine, but it ain't home
New York's home
But it ain't mine no more
"I am"... I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair
"I am"... I cried
"I am"... said I
And I am lost and I can't
Even say why
Leavin' me lonely still
Did you ever read about a frog
Who dreamed of bein' a king
And then became one
Well except for the names
And a few other changes
If you talk about me
The story is the same one
But I got an emptiness deep inside
And I've tried
But it won't let me go
And I'm not a man who likes to swear
But I never cared
For the sound of being alone
"I am"... I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair
"I am"... I cried
"I am"... said I
And I am lost and I can't
Even say why

Hello Anne how are you doing?
Don't we all cry "I am I said" through out our lives to some extent or another? I had been working several years after graduating from college and this song became my personal and private anthem. I prayed for "peaceful days before my youth had gone". Then on to raising a family while arriving home exhausted by my career duties. I was "the man in between". My youth has gone and I have found peaceful days....but Neil has always soothed me with his songs that address being torn by the quandaries of life. There is no singer/song writer in that has more closely connected with my soul than ND.
