- Spring has arrived and is melting the snow into a pit of mud, making off grid living a challenge. Our Scamp Trailer does not appreciate the mud. We encounter an old hound dog who's out hunting mountain lions and have something VERY EXCITING to announce (🍎)!

All you need to remember now is while the rice is cooking... slice a single long red jalapeno lengthways twice... and then slice crossways very thinly. Saute them for about 3-4 minutes. Place into the rice, stir and enjoy. Now you got Mexican Candied rice.

My husband and I get so pissed at each other when we try to put the camper on the hitch. 😂😂 wish we could stay collected like you two!😂
OMG Tiffany!! Same with me and my husband!! Hitching our camper or our boat is near heading toward divorce every time!! 10 min later..... 👍. Prior to the camper we had a 12 person tent with 27 poles to assemble. We wanted to stab each other with a tent stake. 😂

Add a flag to the hitch and then one to ball when the flags line up you are good to go. I will add, we never had any problems, but Hubby was an OTR truck driver. He knew precisely where his hitch and ball were at.
Cruising around at a local drive thru fast food place , I nearly rear end the dude in front of me waiting for ice cream when I saw a 13ft trailer pulled into the parking. Slight disappointment that it wasn't pulled by The Subee. Laughed all the way to the pick up window.😀😀😀
Barron making that elk sound like a person straining in the bathroom took me out. 😂 I just moved to a cabin that's off grid and has no hot water in the winter, so I've been taking cold showers. I'm always channeling Barron's cold dipping zen mastery before I get in lol.
Why don't you boil a pot of water and do a real good bird bath with washcloth & soap. You'd be amazed at how clean you really get taking your time to wash your whole body & private parts. Save the cold water misery for hair washing. Summertime would be ok, but cold weather would be a pot boiling fest for me.
Think Mr Heater has a hot water heater.
@@Fatboy-dt8bf I actually ended up getting a $25 deck sprayer at Lowe’s yesterday so I can boil water and take a warm shower that way.
You two make me yearn to be carefree again, I lived forever it seems in a itty bitty camper with my boyfriend and my dog! A tear slides down my face and my throat is tight as I'm texting. Thank you for my forgotten memories.❤🌈 🦋❤

@@ElsaRhae I was a rock hound back in the day so I was out hunting Fairburn Agates in South Dakota I've seen the sun set in the beautiful Badlands many times coming home from looking days in the sun long sleeves and hats are my favorite in the summer when I rocked.

If you're trying to find a way to use the rice water without wasting it, we always just pour it on our dog's food when we're camping. Hope this might be a helpful suggestion 😊
Hi Melinda another Melinda here....rice water can be used for shampoo conditioner cold soak veggies etc. I have used it gor these three things and found many other suggestions online.
Now that you three have Apple money, I see a 18 bedroom ,22 bath, 20,000 sqft mansion with a 3500 sqft guest house for camp. A couple Ford f450 dually to get groceries and a bunch of crazy V12 sports cars in the 16000 sqft garage being built out back in the protected forest that Elsa clear cut a groove of old growth redwoods to make room. She says 'don't worry about it, in a couple 1000 yrs and you won't even notice their gone'. All kidding aside, congratulations to all three of you, you really deserve everything coming your way. We are proud and honored we get to watch your journey.
My wife and I have been living in our 13' boler for almost a year...with our dog and cat 😊 We recently found you on UA-cam and you are an inspiration! We were actually quite amazed at the similarities in our ways of living...had a few good laughs in fact. You three are great!! Can't wait to see more content.
The Apple feature is so great, I saw it on IG the other day but I read it again just now. It’s so interesting to read how you put together your videos and the attention from a company like Apple is both mind blowing and well deserved. Your creativity and ethos seem like a perfect match for Apple and obviously they agree. I’m so happy to see you getting more attention. On to the video, I really appreciated Barron’s concern about not tearing up the road, what good stewardship of the land. I also appreciated the non-judgmental, “I don’t know enough about this to have an opinion” statement about the hunting and the subsequent additional information from the funny old dog’s person. The old western movie music was funny and perfect and the two of you in the morning half asleep trying to talk was hilarious. I camp alone. That conversation still happens though, between MeAtTheHitch and MeInTheTruck. Sometimes I have to remind both of them “Be nice. Everyone is trying their best here”
I was taught to find something that lines up with the center-line of the hitch and is high enough that you can see it in the rear-view mirror. That way you know exactly what you're aiming for and it's just a question of how far back you need to go.

I also have a backup camera right at the truck hitch ... but I haven't installed the viewer on the dash ... yet. Sheesh.

Awesome content and much deserved recognition. Here in the Canadian West, Spring is called "break up" by the road crews. I live in Fl. and used to live on the edge of the Ocala National Forest and have seen the big cats on more than one occasion. Here we call them panthers and they are smaller than the ones where you are but still an animal to respect and give a wide path too. On three occasions in my live I have seen the solid black panthers here. A lot of people will argue there is no such animal as a black panther but they do exist and many of my friends that hunt have seen them also.. Beautiful animals.
