It depends on what part your in. In ft worth it really has cleaned up in the past ten years so much that people jet ski and canoe in it as ten years ago no one would have even stuck toe In the trinity.
Shouldn’t Texas Priorities cleaning their rivers? Especially keeping factories and farms from polluting this river? I see rain drains with wires to stop trash from getting in, but not all of them have that. Itll clean itself once they make sure pollution stops.
I go down there all of the time with my son and it truly is beautiful , sure there is trash being dumped here and there but its not that bad and the water doesnt look very pollutted other than floating trash piles . You can park at the dowdy ferry park and walk for miles and only see wildlife .
The mayor sounds just like a politician. Why is theTrinity in this state? The people of Dallas and the leadership of Dallas see it as a dumping ground. Your story might help in the long run.

It could be a wonderful addition to Dallas. But. Just clean it up. Ill do it put me on payroll give me a truck and some helpers. We will haul off refuse and put up trail cameras to stop repeat offenders. Trim trees. mow . thin down snakes and gators. Build stables for horse trail rides. It could be a shinning star. As for parks most are neglected. Parks department are very lazy. Seagoville has some nice parks c.o. Bruce park is nice. Wild geese and ducks. A water park for kids a walking trail. Baseball. Basket ball. toilets. Then their is the wildlife park totally over grown.neglected. goat island park neglected as well.

In the 90's the stench from the river was overwhelming even driving past it on the freeway.
They already have a 16 thousand acre wilderness. It's called South Dallas.

I think rivers manage to clean themselves downstream but yes, the factories/plants should be regulated.

The Trinity is more like a creek, than a river. Dallas and Fort Worth’s only geographical asset, is barely recognizable.
