Trains at: Aylesbury, CML, 23/11/17

- A very nice evening spent at Aylesbury station situated along one of the branches of the Chiltern Mainline where we see plenty of services from Chiltern Railways and the one freight train from DB Cargo UK.
It's a nice little station given the size of the town, possibly one that I would come back to during the day to get a better feel for it.
My next station is going to Princess Risborough.

Good video mate Aylesbury has 2 stations Aylesbury vale parkway as well I’ve passed Aylesbury a few times caught a few freights there from the bridge next to the station
Thanks very much mate I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I've heard of Aylesbury Vale Parkway but because of the lack of traffic that goes there I didn't feel it warranted to be filmed at. In saying that this station wasn't exactly the busiest going hahaha
A very enjoyable film, especially that Tornado elected to take it when it was dark. The station lighting was good although some colours were darker. Chiltern units nearly always appear in pristine condition and so it was here. In my view, Tornado' s voiceover, even when he makes a mistake, compliments the overall film. Well done.

At 017, you said "never been to Aylesbury before", my first though, "I hear a police siren", great 1st impression LOL, that a thoroughly enjoyable film Jarred, somwhat a station neglected by enthusiasts and such a shame the bubble car has gone, up to the usual high standards, keep up the good work and a like from me as always
Well I have to admit that near enough every station that I go to for a first time usually entails some sort of siren going off in the background. Trouble seems to follow me everywhere lol. I have no doubt that when I go to Princes Risborough I'll be accompanied by sirens

I have to admit I think if I were to come back here I would do it during the day to get a better all round feel for it, but I'm glad you enjoyed the film :)
I'd say reverse your film times in the new year. Meaning, that which was filmed during day shall now become night and night to day. Meh! Too simple, that sounds crumb, but maybe.. just maybe.... Thanks again! B.P.
I like the idea if I'm honest, give stations equal viewing in all conditions to give a better feel to them. I'll look into it for next year and see what happens. Although not all stations can be done at night because of the poor lighting conditions at some of the stations.
True, but as we gobbed earlier your equipment (Heheh) is in fact more than up to par for the task. Still you know conditions better, but I bet you could pull it off. I'll still tune in when I can, feed the ol'habit! B.P.
Well should I get the chances to go back to these stations then I will definitely look into getting different timed films done. I know for a fact that several of the stations that I can do at night offer brilliant station lighting. Especially some of the larger ones on the ECML and WCML. I could even delve into the GWML for some night time films next year
Hard to believe but this station wasn't originally a terminus, until the 1960's the line actually continued north all the way to Manchester via Rugby, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield!
Well with the latest news coming out from the Transport Secretary many of the lines closed by Dr Beeching in the 1960's are due to be reopened to ease over crowding on the current network. So in years to come you may see that line back in action. Time shall tell

Great video, loved the funny mistakes! By the way, it's PRINCES Risborough, not Princess Risborough. I am going to be doing Aylesbury fairly soon as well, once I've done a bunch of other lines including the Waterloo to Reading Line, the Sheerness Branch Line, the Marshlink Line, the Abbey Line, the South Western Main Line and the Arun Valley Line. After that I plan to do the Pontefract Line, the Heart of Wessex Line, the Looe Valley Line, the Wessex Main Line and finally the Braintree Line.
One other thing, Aylesbury is on the London to Aylesbury Line(LTAL), not the CML!
I know the name on the line is different but I just thought it would be easier to put it under the same banner instead of throwing a curve ball out there with it's proper name, but I'm glad you enjoyed the film. I would probably come back here but during the day time

The delay was probably caused by a signal failure as it normally is...
At least that seems to be the standard excuse.
To be honest there's so many excuses that train companies come out with nowadays it's hard to believe some of the things that they say

Yes you are certainly right
It would be a nice change if more people filmed along the Chiltern Mainline, instead a lot of peoples attentions get taken to the ECML, WCML, GWML and even the GEML. Much rather like myself I must admit. Although I am planning to spend more time on the CML

I have done a station from that line during the earlier half of this year at Rainham, Although I'm sure I can do more stations next year with any luck

I love it but more trains should stop there
the problem is Kings Sutton is essentially a rural station and passenger numbers don't really warrant more services stopping there apart from the 1 GWR and 1 Chiltern service every hour. Who knows maybe one day it will improve
