Hi Newsha! Great Review! Loved your full page work with this ink. Just wanted to say I’ve had this ink in a Twsbi stub for weeks and its working perfectly. No clogs, no hard starts, no clumps. I try to use it every day, usually as a title, just to give it a little shake and let some ink flow through the nib. I find it looks almost like a metallic shimmer as opposed to more sparkly shimmers. I agree, Pelikan did their homework. Looking forward to your next video. Keep em comin.
While some others are 'streamlining' their reviews, your creative thoroughness remains impressive and informative (AF). Thanks, Newsha, for all your ridiculousnesses…and for flexing your way through Moby Dick, my main book-squeeze.
Thanks, Jack! I figure if someone doesn't want to watch eveeeerything, they can use the time stamps. 🤓 In the world of Moby Dick, I just hit the part where they've just set sail; Ishmael and Queequeg STILL haven't met Ahab. THE SUSPENSE...but my hand hurts! 😂
Oh finally you’re back! I checked back often to ensure I’m not missing notifications!!! And Thankyou so much for posting. For taking the time. I really did miss you in the meantime. Sometimes it’s the reviewer we miss not the reviews I guess. 😬😬😬😬
Your writing is absolutely gorgeous! Pleasure to see. I just received a sample of this ink, but I haven't tried it yet. I need to make sure I don't have to touch anything after I "play" with it! (P.S. I love that you call KWZ "kwizzy"! :) )
Hi!!! Glad you’re back, you’ve been missed on the innerwebs. Completely understand how life can get. Grateful you take the time to film and post content and let us into your world of the fountain pen hobby. Love the video as usual. And this is a lovely color. I’m gonna try to get my hands on it. I think I have a highlighter in my makeup stash this shade. Actually I’m certain I do. Oh, and the shenanigans brings me joy 🤩 Have a great rest of your weekend.
So glad you enjoyed! I'm pretty sure I have a Path McGrath eyeshadow that's the shimmer color. It's so funny to me how makeup textures are making their way into the pen hobby. This being one of them and the other the shimmer some custom pen blank makers use is cosmetic grade. 😂
@@ferociousnprettypens yes!! I’m newer to this hobby and wonder why I was drawn to it so quickly. Then I realized, as a former makeup artist, it reminds me so much of makeup. It’s the perfect combination of my love of writing and my love of colors and textures.
Wonderful ink and I like your style of presenting it on the paper! Gotta say, I prefer how the ink looks on the Rhodia paper. On the TR paper it looks paler and more greenish instead of golden. At least that's what it looks like on my end.
Question for you! When you do your one-pagers with the LAMY, do you fill up 4-5 different LAMYs or do you just rotate the nibs on and off? Love the vids!
Great question. I rotate the nibs for two reasons: I do this with samples and there isn't enough ink to fill multiple Lamy pens....and because it's less to clean up. 😂
I’m back!!! I took a social media sabbatical when I switched jobs. I recently went to the DC penshow and have decided to make content creation a priority. 🤗
The grim reality of social media posting. There's only so much time in the day and only so much money that real working adults can invest into this hobby. Many who posted prolifically in the last year or two are reaching the breaking point. Whether that's a lack of time or an overburdening investment into the hobby to keep the videos going. I think about the guy who shuttered his channel and one of his personal side-businesses...the guy who went 10k into debt to keep his channel rolling, what was his name....argh...I can't remember his name...bald head...glasses...Had the channel called "THE PEN HABIT". Bah...I can't remember. But, as always, great review! I considered picking up that Golden Beryl ink but wanted to see a real review of it before ordering.
"Did their homework on this one..." I dunno, gal.... Seems to me 'good ink' is s'posed to stay on the paper. Or 'the frikkin paper', as some might prefer. "And not in your hands!" [~M&M] [the red one, I think]
I do have this ink and am glad I got it. I put it in a Clear Kakuno with a medium nib. I think I sat for five minutes just swirling the ink in the bottle before I inked up the pen. I did find it clogged the pen overnight but got it started after running some water over the nib. I did take the entire pen apart along with the converter to clear all the shimmer.
Mary, thanks for adding color (hah) to the comments. I'm glad I got it too! It's so pretty! Also, I have a few Kaküno mediums I like to use that finer than my Western mediums, so it's really good to know that it still performs.❤️
When I need gold eyeshadow in a hurry, this ink is a handy alternative. Thank you for a great review. 🤩
I know right?!? If only my eyeshadow was as budge proof as this ink! 😂

Awe. Thanks! And that's great to know about the TWSBI; I have a dedicated shimmer TWSBI this ink will probably live in. 🤓

So fun! I could watch your handwriting demos all. day. long. Great video, thanks!
Thanks Carol. 😉

Awe! Shruthi! That means so much to me. 🥰
Love this review. I was on the fence about this ink, and you're review sealed the deal. Extremely informative. Just sucscribed.
I come for the outtakes as well 😀

I just got this ink, and LOVE it!
Yaaay! I hope you enjoy it.
"It works for my skin tone" 😁 nice review!
Pretty ink! I hope you're having a fantabulous weekend.
Thank you! You too! 😆
Great and fun review as always. Your best is always good enough! ❤
Thanks, Walter. ❤️
A wonderful vid, and very informative. Keep 'em coming! I've watched them all.
Glad you like them! I'll do my best to bring you more ridiculousness mixed with good info. 😂🤓

They have also a set with a semitransparent pen and this ink. It's about 160€ in Germany.
Very helpful thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Eyeshadow ink!! 😂😂😂 it’s pretty but I don’t think it’s a color for me, but I’ll still probably grab a sample sometime.
Why did you quit making vids? I dig watching your channel.

😂 I see what you did there.
Came for the ink (excited to try it), stayed for the outfit and coordinated makeup and nails! Gorgeous!
😂 it just kind of happened. Thanks for noticing. ❤️

Everybody lives in the same bizarro world. We are all asking where the time went!
So true. 😂❤️
