I got this tune for free on a CD which came with Fast Car magazine, July 1999! God I listed to that CD so much, I'm surprised it still works! So many memories of crusing around in my car, blasting this out, driving to the clubs for nights out with my mates! Jesus, I wish I could go back for just one night to re-live it! Best time of my life! Last time I was at a club (Plus in Sheffield), the crown went absolutely mental when this came on!!! No other tune all night had the same response as this!!!
58 years old myself, just thinking of those nights driving around till all hours, in my old Ford motor`s with music playing so loud, my eardrums nearly bleeding. Sending chills down my spine and hairs sticking up on the back of my neck just thinking about it. So called back in the day were great times, I too also wish I could go back for a night or two, but we were definitely blessed to have lived and experienced those times and the great sounds which were around at that time.

if Ferry Corsten presents Gouryella ever comes near you, GO SEE HIM. what he plays is exactly what trance in the 90's was, visuals and all. life changing really.
I was 4 days ago at Ultra festival where Gouryella was performing... the best one hour show I have ever experienced. It brought me back to the classic days, hard to explain the feeling...
Honestly, I'd rather not have the 90s trance scene back. Yes there are some truly amazing songs but modern Trance was still in its infancy and a lot of it was unpolished, and it just sounds very dated and cheesy now. Early to mid 2000s (with some late 2000s) is, IMO, where Trance went full steam ahead and really polished up its act. John '00' Flemming, Cern, Lemoan, 4-strings, Kenny Hayes, Rapha, Lisa Lashes, Lee Haslam, Rank1, Tidy Brothers, Oceanlab. So on and so forth. Hell, the 2000s gave up Babers Adagio for Strings (the not-shit version by Ferry Corset) and Saltwater. I'd rather have that than Goryella.

Evan Bennis I was 14 in 1998, pre-Napster. And I used to sit in on a Sunday night and listen to Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems on Radio 1 with a cassette tape at the ready, sometimes just recording the whole show. I might guess that *some trance snobs at the time might quote stuff like The Age Of Love - The Age Of Love, Humate - Love Stimulation, Sven Väth - L'Esperanza, Joe T Vanelli - Play With The Voice... There was a lot of genre crossovers in the trance/acid/techno scene and when the 'Gatecrasher generation' of uplifting trance dropped itself firmly on the map the vibe was brighter, less serious, it was a different direction altogether to the trance that had it's roots bound up in the original pioneers of house & rave. I thought BT - Flaming June and Art Of Trance - Madagascar were two trance records from around the same time as Out Of The Blue that blew me away. Mauro Picotto - Lizard was so fucking good too. Just so good. I ate up all the fucking trance I could bloody get. And I could talk the bollocks off a concrete cock about it all. Utterly useless information!!! I don't listen to it anymore (see my youtube channel) but I do still love the whole damn thing. If only I could put my memories to good use.
