As a Brit the funniest part was the crowd shouting “wanker” at prince Charles!!😂😂
⁉ ⁇ 😂🤔😲🤣
国内の人たちよりも外国人たちの方が自分たちの欲求を満たしたりオモシロかったりすることはよくあるからね〜😁
Its a bit shocking that as an American i know all about Benny Hill, yet evidently modern day british youth don't.
Same lol. I even have that theme song on my phone.
It varies, some of us know, it just depends on our upbringing, typically working class kids know of Benny Hill
Not a bit shocking. We all watched it on PBS here all through the 1980s.
My father watched Benny Hill when it aired on PBS ( public broadcasting system) in the 1970s 🇺🇲
I loved Benny Hill as a kid. So funny. When I went on a tour in London the guide pointed out his house.
From the U.S., I watched Benny Hill and Monty Python all the time when I was a kid. They used to air it on our Public Broadcast Station.
The accents they used for the people in the pub sounded straight out of 'Carry On' movies! I guess the creaters watched Carry On, too😆😆
Lots of ten year olds staying up into the early morning in the 1970s to get a flash of boobies on PBS. 😆
I was in the 7th grade, so my friends and I thought Benny Hill and Monty Python were pee-in-your-pants hilarious. We spent half the school day on Monday reenacting our favorite skits.
@@Duke_of_Prunes In the 6th grade, I even had a Monty Python's Flying Circus T-Shirt. Got from the back of Movie Monsters magazine, I think. I LOVED that show?
@@bms9144 LoL!
This is the most British reaction I’ve ever seen
That’s quite rude
@@Qiangyuit true
🤣
@@Qiangyu 😀🤣
I was thought the british people are the funniest
I just knew mom would get the Benny Hill reference! I watched the daughter and husband react and they had no idea.
I love that your mum knows of Benny Hill….he was one of my and my friends’ favorites back in high school….when he was shown nearly every night here in the states!
@@FaceAway-xb9hd
Not “surprising”…joyful!
Notice at the end the family was all British. Yet stewey reversed roles and played a southerner from America.
The English sounded more like an American southerner than their accent today during the American Revolution is part of the joke too.
@@StanSwan he played a redneck hillbilly to be specific. (The hair, accent, and spitting tobacco is hickish).
I reckon ur right lol 😂 that’s hilarious 😂
@@StanSwan Actually, the English accent that mostly inspired the American accent still exists today, but you just don't hear it in movies. It comes from South West England, e.g. Plymouth. The accent that are mostly heard in movies is from the South East of England, e.g. "Posh" and Cockney.
@@bubz3t136 Not at all true. 400 years ago in the UK people sounded like the American south.
Finally someone gets the Benny Hill reference, which I used to watch as a kid in the States back in the early 80's. It came on late at night on Saturday so I didn't always get to watch it since I was a young kid and I'd go to sleep relatively early. There were some saucy ladies on Benny's show though!
@@TylerD288 Actress Jane Leeves who played Daphne in the Frasier series was on Benny Hill a couple of times.
To understand the fight between Peter and the pheasant you need to find a clip where he fights the chicken! 😂
FG should know already.
Your mum remembers Benny Hill! He came on here in the States late on Saturday nights when I was a kid 40 years ago. I found him pretty funny and I remember that music.
And the chase scene.
@@JustMe-dc6ks yep, which tons of other comedians copied.
The daughter explains that it's 7 minutes of laughs at the beginning and then they both sit there straight faced until the Benny Hill music broke the mom.
to be fair, most jokes are mild at best
tbh family guy humour when it comes to the UK is a bit lacking generally. The writers are better when it comes to other subjects.
I enjoyed this. I like seeing your Mom comment on the different videos.
Do young people in Britain still know Monty Python? If not, that's a real shame.
nah it's pakistani comedy now 😂🤣
Come on guys, the Queen did have nursing home hair! My 88-year-old grandmother does as well! XD
The music of Nick Cave and Depeche Mode helped me out a lot during Jr. High and High schools!
Your Mom looks like Meryl Streep!
She does, doesn't she?
She looks better and is %100 a woman.
🤣@@billhicks808
And she looks like someone who are Meryl Streep.
I did not expect your mom to recognize the silly quick slip of music that was from the Benny Hill Show. I must say I gained a ton of respect when she informed you and made me realize she may understand more of the comedic references than many people from the U.S. & U.K. alike.
Her mum was far more likely to recognise that tune than the daughter. I’m 42 and can remember Benny Hill from childhood. My 17 year old son wouldn’t have a clue though 🤷🏻♀️
Born in America in 1970 and got lucky enough to watch Benny Hill reruns.
I remember staying up late to watch The Benny Hill Show as a kid in the 70s. Where I’m at in the US that show used to come on between 12 and 2 in the morning and it was hilarious. Fun reaction
Haha when the guy loses it reading the paper in the middle! 😅😅😅
I think everyone’s a Princess Diana fan, pretty much.
Some of those jokes are kind of inside jokes from Family Guy, like the chicken fight and the knee thing...you'd have to see more of the show to get those.
The Harry and Megan tour was actually South Park...it's a great episode though, you should definitely watch it!
Your mom is lovely! She reminds me of a young Meryl Streep. And I love her sense of humor. I know the US and England poke at each other quite a bit, but both of you were great about it.
My two favorite shows growing up were Monty python and Benny Hill. I'm American but I always loved the English humor. I do enjoy your content also.
Actually there is a gentleman’s club in London that is so exclusive that only the very wealthy even can enter. They make the most ridiculous gambling decisions in there like which raindrop would reach the end first for so many pounds. I believe the royal family goes there a lot. It’s an odd place that’s for sure. It’s the place where the legendary around the world in 80 days book is based upon as the start point. Now a true explorer’s club does exist in New York City and they create new explorations of the world from fossils to new forms of travel. It’s a great place to see the world and the people who made it happen. Once a year just for fun they do the explorers club banquet which raises funds but the menu is very strange from the far corners of the globe. It introduces new forms of food to New York City like live octopus or insects. Honestly it’s a formal way to try food that doesn’t look that great. I believe many top CEOs are members like Elon musk who is doing space x with funding from the explorers club. Josh gates is a member of the archaeological branch but can watch mechanical explanations using different energy methods. He saw the first solar powered plane do a test run.
Some of these jokes were written for the ride or die fans that have been watching the show for over 20 years.
The show is considered edgy, but I personally don't think so. The Princess Diana joke tho... Even my jaw dropped.
I've tried to watch cricket, that's exactly how i felt😂
Benny Hill is the G.O.A.T
Some of the best laughs me and my siblings had back in the 70’s was watching Benny Hill show and also Monty Pythons Flying Circus! As Americans there were times when something was lost in translation but it still made us laugh! 😁
I hope to see Mum on a reaction to her new grandbaby
I noticed that they didn't get the Chicken Fight reference. If you don't know, there have been several amazing fight scenes with Peter and a giant chicken. They're always vicious, bloody and bloody awesome!
😂😂 British joke are the best 😂😅
The three men sitting and reading newspapers and clearing their throats in the London Gentleman's Club was pretty funny! Lol.
I can't say that I am particularly well versed on the ins and outs of British culture and whatnot, but a highpoint from my youth (around 12-14 years old. Late 70s and early 80s) was being able to stay up late and watch Benny Hill with my dad.
Do you remember a British show called 'The Goodies'? I remember loving it as a little kid, but never heard anything about it afterwards.
Used to love watching Benny Hill when I was a teenager. I had a mad crush on Sue Upton, One of the most beautiful women ever.
We grew up watching Benny Hill reruns (I'm Gen X), so it's funny that Milly doesn't know about him. I would have assumed it would be on in reruns there too. I was more fond of Faulty Towers, but the music from Benny Hill is always recognizable!
I started watching Benny Hill as a 7 year old in 1955 !
1st most important. How does your daughter not know the late Great... " Benny Hill ".... one of the Best comic's ever 😮😮😮😮 are you sure she's your British daughter? There are movies showing how aliens invade. Not know Benny Hill 😢😢😢😢. There are some British episodes of shows thats been blocked from showing in the U.S. due to commets of a political nature, which is stupid, I think, especially if comical and / or true 😊😊😊😊😊
AHHHHH??? NO WORDS 😂😂😂 GREETINGS FROM VENEZUELA 🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
Their teeth lmao😂😂😂
Whaaat... no way. A Brit that doesn't know Benny Hill theme song!?
Princess Dianna, the last good royal honestly. RIP
She was no angel. She slept with married men and the wives came out and spoke against her. But yes let's forget that.
Yeah, because her own husband was cheating on her. @@harpalk8096
lol did she say who is benny hill?? sigh memories and I am not that old heheh just had 2 tv station back then is all are you being served was the next one lol
I was hoping to see the cut away "Oh Reginald...I disagree" 😂 that's my favorite.
So i guessed you were pregnant before you all announced it. I just want to say you are absolutely beautiful and seem to be very happy to be having this baby. You are glowing and your man seems to be ecstatic ❤😅
The privacy tour was a south park dig
The teeth are spot one
She looked like having a lot of fun till the Queen’s joke 😂😂😂
RIP Princess Diana, she’ll always be the Princess of Wales in my heart. It’s amazing to me, as an American, how much it saddened me when both Princess Diana and her majesty Queen Elizabeth II died 😓
Lager is served cold in the UK Ale and stout are served at room temperature not warm
It's a shame that young Brits don't know Benny Hill.
The English can laugh at a lot of things about themselves. Their queen's haircut is not one of them
Have anyone seen The Great Mouse Detective love that movie.
AHHHHH???? NO WORDS 😅😅😅 GREETINGS FROM VENEZUELA 🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
Hi
Family Guy and South Park make fun of everyone. No one is left out. (The Harry and Megan stuff is hilarious)
Spot on. They must have spent a lot of time in the UK
Fun fact: The British have had the second-highest standard of Dental care in the world, for years, behind either Germany or Denmark. Last time I looked, the U.S was in ninth place. Oh, and before anyone says, 'But what about Austin Powers?!' He never actually said the British all have bad teeth. What he said was, back in the '60s, people with bad teeth were allowed on TV in the UK.
Just another Benny Hill fan here. We used to slap bald friends on the head and say Benny Hill. It was as fair as 2 for flinching 🥸
The cartoon about Harry and Meghan's Privacy Tour was on "South Park," (which i think is even more funny and outrageous than Family Guy).
Noticed the only thing they could make fun of about the queen was her hair. She was a very, very good woman.
Hello Beesley mum! ❤❤
Ah, the unmistakable crescendo of the ‘Gentlemen’s Thunderstorm,’ where a mere clearing of the throat transforms into an audacious duel of decorum and determination. One can almost envision a monocle audaciously springing forth in indignation amidst the symphony of newspaper rustles. Indeed, there is no finer exhibition of gentlemanly restraint and uproarious silence! 😂 #RefinementInRepartee
You two should watch the South Park - Harry & Megan episode where they try to find a home in Canada, LA and then end up in South Park. It is spot on and hilarious.😎😎
I’ll tell you what as an American white, overweight, Jewish guy from the south. I think I hit quite a few of the Family Guy checkmarks. And man those jokes are wicked good. Lol.
Now the reason why British Peter and the giant pheasant was doing well whatever the hell they were doing was because if you have ever seen the American Family guy, Peter has had a long-standing feud with a giant chicken 🐔 and this was I guess the British version of that!
Also Stewie usually has a British Villian accent so with the family turned British they gave British Stewie a redneck hick accent.
It was South Park that went off on Harry and Megan.
Welcome, Mum.
You didn’t include the funniest British segment, when Peter is listening to British radio.
Brits pub in peters vocabulary was a gay bar😂
i was hoping theyd comment on "she rogered the boogley"
I was under the impression that Benny Hill chaces were known by all British
Everyone keeps mentioning Benny Hill. What about Monty Python, Black Adder, EastEnders, Allo Allo, and The Bishop of Digby? Other British comedies as well?
My dad and I watched Monty Python, the others you mentioned I don’t recognize.
Reginald Perrin, Keeping Up Appearances, Good Neighbors - I loved all those British comedies!
I was born in the 70's so I grew up watching Benny Hill. It was on our local PBS public broadcasting station around 10pm in my state. Still one of my favorite British TV shows and the music is iconic. You either know it or you don't.
In ohio in early 80's Benny hill was on PBS at 8pm on Saturdays. My brother's and I weren't allowed to watch it, but we found ways around that. Loved Benny hill
It still amazes me when Americans stare blankly when listening to Brit’s speaking to each other 😂🇬🇧 🇺🇸 I used to think we spoke the same language 😂
I feel sorry for the mum having to sit through that. She's a good sport!
The name of the Benny Hill music is Yakety Sax. It’s a great piece by an American musician that Benny Hill made famous.
I miss the Queen, even as an American. She put duty and country first.
***doesn't flinch at Queen's horrible death***
***Family guy jokes about Queen's hair ***
My!That's quite rude ! 😐
Benny Hill was the greatest!!
Dave Allen at Large......the BEST!!!
I love your mom! She's so classy. 😊
Benny Hill was brilliant, good showman!
Rest in Paradise to the Queen 🇺🇸 ❤
No British impression is complete without some my bad sausages
South Park did the episode about Harry and Megan, not family guy, and you two should react to it.
Ironic thing about Charles is the fact that "wanker" is now the sovereign of England
Mom liked this one 4:50
Family Guy does very off colored jokes about everything and everybody. The ironic thing is that this cartoon is on Fox which is a very conservative Television station. Seth MacFarlane, the creator of the cartoon, grew up on the East Coast of the United States. That part of the U.S still has a strong U.K influence. This is where he draws his inspiration to develop jokes about the U.K.
Don't think they would make the nursing home joke about the queen today. Keep in mind that clip is almost 20 years old.
But they did tho
These Brit’s aren’t laughing at all. Come on family guy!
Honestly, I love the quiet English reserve as you both have displayed here. Just look at the youth of America and the influence of Ebonics on the language and gangster culture and it’s quite sad. Besides your Yardies and the cockney slang, the average 10 year old in Britain has a better vocabulary and is better spoken than most politicians in the United States these days.
Apparently Princess Diana only died because she didn’t wear a seatbelt.
Privacy tour is South Park, not Family Guy.
The wanker part was spot on...
I'm Irish and even though being racist I remember him well. Has it really been that long ago that the daughter doesn't know the Benny Hill show. Where has time got off to.
Health and Wealth.
I Iove it All BUT
The Queen Going Into The Tunnel
& Dying.... 😧 NO ! = Tasteless.
We have free speech here in the states, that’s why our cartoons are so outrageous
She said" that was rude"... haha love the 🇬🇧! 🇺🇲
America's got dark humor 🤣🤣🇺🇸
You paused the tunnel joke before she even had chance to laugh...
