I loved the cvt on my renegade 1000xxc but i kept small tires on it and rode it how it was intended to be ridden lol. I never blew a belt once but i also maintain my stuff. Tons of guys blow belts left right and center
I really want this thing over Maverick ot Polaris RZR cause it has DCT transmission instead of belt. But im broke so i aint getting this any time soon😂
I have a 2021 maverick sport Max. I wish I would've gotten one of those instead so badly. Purely for that sequential trans. Not being able to shift at all does get rathe boring after awhile.

For 2023 did they add power? I haven’t driven one so maybe it’s not needed as the trans makes up for it with the fun factor . Just looking at it purely from a numbers perspective this has barely 100hp while can am and the rzr are easily over 200hp
From everything I've seen there are no hp changes to the '23 or '24.. I've been in turbo rzrs and couple other utv but the YXZ still hangs right with them unless its straight up drag race then the new 200+hp machines make a difference but at the same time seen several turbo yxz at 200+ and still reliable. I just haven't had the chance to do anything like that due to recent life changes.
I was very wrong about the HP, looks like it’s more like 175hp which is more than enough since it’s match with such an amazing transmission. Congrats and I am very jealous!! I am looking into making my first SxS purchase and was looking at the Pro R but I think this would be more fun
@@KAZ109 Na you were correct the horsepower on the yxz is around 115 with some of the exhaust and tune kits bumping up to 135 but there is another aspect. The yxz is roughly only 1500lbs. where as like the new Maverick R is 2200lbs dry. The 175hp yxz is acheived with GYTR turbo kits which some dealers have pre installed on some machines.
I've only drove one with a clutch and it was awesome. Only reason i decided to go with a paddle shift is WV in the hills and our hunting trails. I have a CJ5 that is manual and it sucks in our hunting land cause its up and down.
I Don't really know how to judge it honestly depending on the terrain it will kick out and slide and I have seen forums where guys have added an e-brake to get the rear end around. But trail riding the turning radius is not very good, compared to a smaller machine like my father's Rhino 660. PS: sorry for the delay on answering

I mainly went with the YXZ due to the ability to shift gears via paddles. Wanted the full manual but figured Paddles were the better option for trail riding if I do any.

I love it but then again I’m more on the speed and jumping side coming from a motocross background, so I don’t really care too much for lot of mud

yea I truly wanted the base yxz with the clutch and shifter but I decided on the sport shift just for ease of use in the mountains and hills.
