@JohnHaldezos that is great to hear. I also own the D4 pictured in this video. I have a pretty low shutter count on it, and it is just amazing. I like the increased MP over the D3S. Love this camera. What are your favorite lenses on your D4?
I have the D3S and D4 (five bodies between the two). I also shoot a D750 and a couple of D700's. The D3S is the first body I grab when I expect to do any shooting. I think it's still a phenomenal camera. Direct access to many of the controls is a huge plus and I just love the output of the camera itself. I'll also bring the D4 if I'm going to a wedding or some big event like that but the D3S is my constant companion. For me these cameras are still gold which is always nice to have.
I think the D3S physical controls are GREAT!!. I do miss the D4 not having as many :(. Thanks for sharing. You have quite the collection of Nikon bodies!
I own 2 D3s, a D3, a D4 and a D4s and 3 D700s. All of these were bought mint with low shutter counts. I also have a D850 and D780. I prefer the older Nikon's and use them regularly. The D3 and D700 have that nice sensor that gives great color. I have made 20x30 prints with the older cameras. The low megapixel size doesn't bother me. It is still all about light and composition.
I have used Nikon since d7100 was released. D4S for 6 weeks thanks to used market. I never imagined having a pro body. I appreciate even more what nikon gives the prosumer with my old standby. Having the low light, speed and colors of the 10 year old flagship is crazy. The XQD and CF workflow are a pain…but more than worth it for an amateur
@williamdodge8335 Appreciate the comments. I always wanted the D4s, but it was like always double of the D4 used. XQD cards were a pain. Much so how CF express A and B are today with the newer cameras.
Hi Robin! Define "old"! My "newer" cameras are from 2014. I do own a D200, D700, D800 and a D4... and from 2014 a D750 and D810. I always felt curious about the D3/D3s. According to your experience. Is the D3s better than the D4 at high ISOs?? Thanks!
That is a great list of cameras. I feel like the D200 is just a classic. I did not due extensive in testing on a tripod. I would say both did well in the photographs I took. I always wanted the D4S, but never was able to snag one. What is your favorite Nikon Body you own?
@@robinhoodgear That's a difficult answer! Since every camera gives me different colors and I do like them all. But if I have to narrow it down for an answer, I will say it's a tide between the D700 and D4. Best regards!
I order a D3s with 22k shuttercount. Its my first pro body. The D3s looks nicer for me and if i buy a older cam, so emotions are more important then pixel or speed.
Good question. I never shoot JPG. I only shoot RAW, so I'm always prepared for the extra time to process these photos. D4 is a better camera. I recently just sold both and got a new Sony. I have a quick lens review and some more content coming out soon.
@dave_white D3 is still such a work horse. All D3/D3S are just classic Nikons. In most situations the 12MP and smaller files are just amazing. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

@@robinhoodgear I use 24 -70mm f2.8, 85mm f 1.4 28-300mm 50mm f 2.4 my ultimate favourite is 105mm DC f.2.8 ultimate portrait lens

Nothing wrong with the older cameras. They are affordable and do a great job. I like testing and trying different models.

Both are GREAT and you can't go wrong with either!! All the PRO bodies are just TANKS!!
