So let's say I wanted to measure the length of a circuit which ran in a conduit from the panel to a disconnect. would I then connect those leads from the meter to the hot and neutral at the panel side and then at the disconnect side connect both hot and neutral together to close the loop. Taking my digital measurement and divide in half to get the circuit length...? Trying to think of a real situation I would use the meter in. Please let me know if this works
Jay, in order to measure wire with this tester, you need to be able to 1) clamp onto to each end, 2) cable must be insulated, 3) tester and cable need to be close to the same temp. In order to be able to measure from one end only, you would need a different kind of tester.

How do you measure #3 AWG? I noticed it goes from #2 to #4.

How do I get this to stop reading in kft? It will show me meters, but when I press the ft/m button it goes to kft.
